New 3D show and animal attraction on the cards

Village Roadshow report that Sea World will improve its lineup with a new 3D film to replace Planet S.O.S. as well as new animal attraction.

Sea World, Australia's oldest theme park, looks set to continue their recent attendance levels with at least two new attractions for 2007, including a new animal exhibit and a new film for the park's theatre to replace the popular educational 3D film Planet S.O.S., pictured.

Planet S.O.S. features three 3D animated segments that educate viewers about three different environmental plights that the world faces, including global warming, driftnetting and deforestation. The film is introduced by Sea World's Director of Marine Sciences. The show will have enjoyed a four year run at the Gold Coast theme park when it closes to make way for a new film.

At this stage it is unknown if the attraction will be replaced by a similar environmentally aware film.

Sea World debuted their latest animal show Imagine earlier this year and look set to build on their wide range of marine exhibits with another new attraction due in 2007. After the unfortunate death of much of the park's fairy penguine population, a rebuilt penguin exhibit is also on its way for this year.

Sea World is currently the temporary home of the Sea World Eye, the tallest observation wheel in Australia.
