Macquarie Leisure duo to launch new annual passes
Dreamworld and WhiteWater World will revolutionise the Gold Coast theme park industry by offering the first multi-park annual pass, with a range of different annual passes catering to a variety of different markets.
The Annual World Pass, expected to be unveiled in the near future, will allow holders unlimited access to Dreamworld and its new sister park, WhiteWater World. The holder will be able to switch between parks throughout the day via the dedicated World Pass gate that seamlessly joins the two parks together.
Local residents can benefit from a Resident's Pass which gives locals a discounted annual pass to spark interest in the theme park. The idea's not a new one - Disneyland offers Southern Californian residents the SoCal Annual Pass at a fraction of the price of other annual passes - but it is set to give Dreamworld a valuable edge on the competition with the ever-growing Gold Coast population. It comes as no surprise with Coomera in particular one of the fastest growing areas in Australia.
Students will also be able to get their hands on a Student Pass, while parents with young children are offered the Play Pass. This particular pass will only be valid on Tuesdays, but allow unlimited access to both parks. The Play Pass goes on sale from the beginning of June.
Pricing and the specific details and conditions of each pass are not yet known.
It is not yet known if Warner Village Theme Parks, owners of Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World and Wet'n'Wild Water World will follow suit with their own incarnations of these passes.
