  1. Today
  2. A trip down memory lane. Which I think intersects with Main St somewhere beyond the Hollywood hills and over the rainbow
  3. Yesterday
  4. Work has officially started on the 2nd and newest Alone Coaster in Australia. The Big Banana’s Plantation Coaster is due to open for the September school holidays. Here is a link to vision and a report of the start of construction ceremony https://www.facebook.com/share/1Bb4HryE3c/?mibextid=wwXIfr
  5. Last week
  6. Sneeky peeky at the lift section from a hole in Wizard of Oz
  7. Yeah at this point with the number of and degree of explanations and imagery provided, i'm going to go out on a limb and say @oofy is a troll being deliberately obtuse and should just be ignored in all future discussion
  8. This one came out in 2023. Probably just came out of the new release overnight hires and into the weekly shelves - apparently Africa was the first in a 12-part series for the flying theatre, so I look forward to seeing them all come out eventually Brogent takes IAAPA to Africa in their new Flying Theatre movie – DRdb Hopefully we get the full ten minutes and they don't skimp on the lemon dishwashing scent.
  9. those bamboo style fence panels have been there since before the ride opened. I'm pretty sure the rock wall pieces were too and may just be waiting for them to finalise the other water feature elements prior to install.
  10. yep - 0% market research on new \ returning attractions and 100% 'what can we post that people will like / comment / share / subscribe to'
  11. Much of the elements they could do would require themeing in the area, which wouldn't wash during the day time.
  12. In reality, it isn't a big issue, the contractor will be asked to come back and fix their work. Standard clause.
  13. There was paint peeling after only 3 days, but indeed after 3 months it’s gotten much worse
  14. Its been SBNO for some time - I'll give them a pass on this one as they're in an unwinnable situation; you'd have to spend money to re-open it for last rides and then permanently close it again. Doesn't make financial sense, especially when the company is trying to consolidate its offerings post merge. Was disappointed it was closed during our first visit in September last year, was kinda hoping to relive the experience one more time before it closed for good.
  15. It went down for regular maintenance and Six Flags couldn't get the parts required to reopen it. Your Village derangement syndrome is showing @Baconjack
  16. The IP licences would be extremely strict on what can and cannot be used and represented. I guarantee you a horror overlay of their characters and the death of them does not form part of that agreement
  17. Six Flags pulls the Village Roadshow special with Superman and Dreamworld gives final rides to Tower of Terror. Oh how times have changed
  18. i mean that’s true but i wouldn’t be surprised if they did do it… i mean it’s an adult event so it’s not like they have to keep the family vibe.
  19. Jaggs journey just uploaded a new video, quite interesting to be honest as to what’s in the pipeline. I hope they nail it, such an iconic ride Jaggs journey just uploaded a new video, quite interesting to be honest as to what’s in the pipeline. I hope they nail it, such an iconic ride
  20. Six Flags Magic Mountain permanently closes Superman coaster Spare parts only went so far. Seems GD won't reclaim it's record anytime soon.
  21. Both throwback Thursdays and flashback Fridays are common in the social media sphere - and it’s all about engagements which nostalgia drives strongly. they didn’t need to post flashbacks as a market research initiative, they already know that they have many loved attractions that have left the park over the years.
