  2. You're complaining about the location of a ride that's been in the same spot for 17 years?

  3. Exactly Arkham plays a part in Batman Forever, Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and will have a major role in The Dark Knight Rises. It is synonymous with the entire Batman universe. There is nothing stupid about it Spencer, u clearly are just looking at it from the wrong perspective

  4. Yeah, 2 thumbs up from me. Even if the trains don't track any smoother, this type of harness makes a world of difference. Battlestar Galactica was rough, but since your head didn't hit anything, it was actually fun. But this looks even more mental...far more upper body movement, and no bar on one side! PS, update, and I'm putting it in colour because then people wont skim read it. The dilapidated building facade has been taken off the tower. The new train might have lower rolling resistance? What about the rides Efteling and Alton Towers do? Or the rides at Disney not based on films (Pirates of the Carribean, Space Mountain, Big Thunder, Journey to the Center of the Earth etc?) Would be cool if the handles measured your pulse during the ride like on Blue Fire at Europa. On the flip side, I reckon the area around Lethal has long been a dead zone. Why does it need to look fresh? Its current paint is not that old, and still glossy! lol. But seriously, on vest restraints on coasters they tend to put seatbelt tensioners at the back, so it sits snug on you, so no opportuinity for the harness to sit higher and cause 'neck cutting' (Like on Intamin accelerator restraints) No, youd get banned for being a knob all the time and not making interesting posts (just trolling). Quit it. Maybe people want a thrill because its a theme park? If you want a place purely about the art of film, have you ever been to http://qag.qld.gov.au/cinematheque or http://www.acmi.net.au/ Bang on. Haters;...All the characters come from the same pot. The video games would never have been produced if Batman/Joker etc weren't popular IPs. Ever consider that? For people that follow video games, Arkham would be fresh in their mind. For people who have seen the films/read the comics, Arkham is still going to make sense.

  5. Out of the 50 voters, 44 chose Superman Escape as one of their options and rightfully so imo. It's clearly Australia's best quality and most loved coaster and it's really an asset to Movie World. I really hoped this ride would be the catalyst for bigger and better coasters in the future and I still hope for that.

  6. ^ You post doesn't even make sense, someone else posted pretty much counter arguing all of your points and you say they had an "Epic Fail" I really don't see how. I contemplating deleting your pointless post but its more fun to leave it for others to see.

  7. Spencer - you're not going to get far by calling the general public stupid. The general public are NOT stupid and thus why Movie World is a successful theme park. The public KNOW and TRUST Movie World and will continue to go there, regardless of how they theme their rides or theme them at all. You are clearly nitpicking making a mountain out of a molehill. We are lucky they are putting $$$ into a dated and somewhat "average" ride to improve it and the theme is a hell of a lot more relevant than "Lethal Weapon". Also, for someone who knows nothing about video games and is what you'd describe as a "commoner", I would tie Arkham Asylum with the Batman movies and not a video game. Even if it was just referencing the video games, who cares? Get a life lol. It's a little irritating to come here and see such petty hyperbolic criticism. Don't get me wrong - criticism should be expressed, when warranted. But stop nitpicking just for the sake of nitpicking, it brings down the whole mood of the forum and as lame as this sounds, impairs my excitement for the ride.

  8. See, I think, and I'm sure many others on here do also, that there's not necessarily a problem with many DC rides. Most of the general public probably don't even recognise that they're all DC, and many won't even worry about the theming too much, just want to ride it. DC can also be flexible to different ages, and hopefully this more 'mature' Arkham theme will be pulled off well. I don't think there's anything wrong with having heaps of DC rides.

  9. This is a comment I always take issue with!! Unless you are a park employee or ride contractor/manufacturer EVERYONE is general public. Self proclaimed enthusiast or not, you're still general public. Simple, if you use the main gate when entering a park you are GP. It is well known there are staff and insiders on parkz but they also post here as personal opinion so even then they are really GP here. I just hate it when people talk 'above' other people.
