  1. The only thing worse than a bad idea is an unoriginal bad idea. All any of our parks need to do to improve guest flexibility on their day of visit is to invest in and operate their rides at a capacity appropriate for the number of people in the park. Once someone is in the gate, the only time a theme park can make money off them is when they aren't in a queue.

  2. I'd post an opinion combating the points you made, some of which I actually found offensive but I get the feeling another active member of this community will shortly do a much better job than I would. I will say though that adding an extra level of comfort option in a plane, or a gold class movie lounge doesn't AFFECT the experience the people not opting for that service have in a negative way, they simply miss out. Paying to avoid a que which makes other who don't wait longer DOES affect them in a negative way. I don't like penalizing those who can't afford things when they are trying to leave reality for a day and show their family a good time, perhaps even forget their troubles for a day. Especially when it's some snotty over entitled youth skipping lines whilst hard working families wait.

  3. I was pleasantly surprised with the theming. Harnesses were great, the track still has all its bumps but you don't walk off with a concussion. The 'helmets' above the seats had no sign of a speaker system as of yet. The magnetic braking compared to the old friction breaks is like night and day.

  4. OH! Forgot to mention, it was the green buttons! You'd press them at the end of the ride and it'd unlock both the harness and the seatbelt. Didn't do anything for the other bits of the ride..

  5. In other news, they gave Dragon Kahn a vom new colour scheme on the trains. http://static.pa-community.com/pictures/4e/bd/838d94ebf69f602cc76066f177dd/th720_230e1dceac68b06551e00500056dee86.JPG Sponsored by PlaySkool/Fischer Price?

  6. Joz is right on the money there..... For example , in the industry that I'm aiming for , being the animal care/zoology pathway; Theres places like The Australian Reptile Park in Gosford, just north of sydney and the only way to get a paid job there outside of human food is to volunteer there, and then from that when they are hiring they have a look at your work ethics and then if they like you they hire you.... then again thats probably EVERY industry. And while your there sell your self; on sunday i worked at a certain expo to help a friend who needed people to work there for the 4 days. I did one day and put my everything into it especially the pack up of the entire thing and now they have asked me to help with such "Partay Items" (Bull, Horizontal Bungee, Gladiator, Sumo etc....) and i told the boss that i can do all sorts of other "Roadie" type work including sound and now he's probably going to send me to a few sound oriented things for the company to learn a bit more , and Bazinga, bobs your uncle i have another job.
