  1. Damn it. I clearly missed a classic. Can I get cliff notes?

  2. Wow if the news reported on every ride breakdown (or usually more correctly defined, safety systems engaging) there would be no room for anything else in the papers. Clearly they'd already filled their quota of made up stories about the Malaysian Airlines flight and still had pages to fill

  3. I did like the newspaper's quote by the lady: "Are we living in such a litigious society that they feel they can't apologise to us for this?" Conversely, are we living in such a punitive, self-centred society that people feel the need to go to the media to air their dirty laundry? Once emergency services were involved, Adventure World's role in the process was likely nothing more than advising and facilitating. Ambulances were surely on scene and everyone was well hydrated, fed and sunscreened... it sounds like the kid was given a quick once-over and given the OK to run off to the bathroom. In the scheme of things, it was a mild inconvenience about on par with being delayed on a flight in a holding pattern.

  4. http://wetnwildsydney.com.au/about-us/nye-festival.aspx NYE Festival postponed. Not on tonight anymore. Ouch. Not Wet n Wilds fault though.

  5. I'm with Lolt_90. I was always under the understanding that dreamworlds food policy is no commercially made food (subway, macca's etc). I also remember reading that somewhere (possibly at the entry whilst I was waiting to get in). But just on that, I have never had my bags inspected upon entering Dreamworld, unlike at WBMW ehere the bag has been searched in full (all pockets, asked to remove items etc) and as briefly said before, refused entry for having sandwiches in a backpack (this was 2001). However recently during a bag inspection was allowed to bring a sandwich or 2 into the park. This begs the question though, I wonder when they will start charging for parking at their properties considering it's a "International industry standard" practice.
