From what I have been in parks, it's body size rather than weight that are the determinant, ie. Where you carry your weight. nearly all rides have a safe level that the lap bar/restraints must close to. rides I have seen larger people have issues on boarding are: scooby doo jet rescue mdmc claw3 points

I was though lol now I'm imagining those pictures as wanted posters in the goldrush area lol2 points

It's nice to know movie world is making an improvement in shows again. I miss the days of the wild west show combined with police academy. That in my opinion was when movieworld was at its best with shows2 points

I second the weight issues specifically with both the Claw & Scooby Doo, have also witnessed them myself. The latter I saw someone of larger size turned down for a couple of weeks ago because staff couldn't get the lap bar to lock in. The trains for Scooby are pretty tiny.2 points

Wide range and enough to fill a day is currently a stretch.1 point

Not really needing it's own topic I guess, but supposedly Seaworld had issues with people being stuck on the Skyway today. Haven't seen an article yet but it's supposedly coming up on the news soon. Edit - so they were stuck for around 30mins. Had maybe 20 seconds of coverage. Supposedly smoke and heat coming from the ride. Believed to be an electrical fault.1 point

Think you took a completely different message from reanimated's post that intended, I certainly didn't read it the way you did.1 point

Ok, so here's the plan so far! Rides: Epcot: Mission Space, Test Track, and (hopefully) Soarin. MK: Haunted Mansion (if it's not down for annual maintenance), Space Mountain, Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain. Food Epcot: I'll have brekky here, probs at one of the world showcase's. MK: Lunch and dinner here. Might have some Corn Dogs for lunch. Still haven't decided on dinner and definitely some snacks. Overpriced churros anyone? Souvenirs: Epcot: I'll figure it out. MK: Lots of little things, oh and pins... You can't forget the pins. Both Parks: Mounds of ride photo's! I have had a look at the Unofficial Guide To Disney World and I took a lot from that. I will be attending the 'Kiss Goodnight' and getting the best spots at the Fireworks! Thank you everyone for the help and I'll report back once my trip is done! THANKS! Wil_i_am_not1 point

Great themeing idea, Razza. I'm hoping when they reopen Eureka that this could be incorporated into the ride, itself. If they had on ride photos they could be presented in a 'Trespassers will be shot' cardboard photo frame.1 point

I more or less handed myself in. My name of my account is Andrew H (which is my real name), I posted a photo of me and the day I entered Dreamworld. I bought a world pass which had all my details and a photo of me so it wasn't very hard for Dreamworld to track me down. I put my real info up deliberately, not because I'm an idiot, but because I wanted to be accountable. A member from guest services came and spoke to me next time I tried to enter the park. After a period of discussions with guest services I'm able to re-enter the park, so long as I abide by the rules, which I gave my word that I would. Everything's back to normal then. I'd never try to go back of house again, and I would recommend against it. Feel free to message me if you want to ask anything more (and please stop hating on me).1 point

Couldn't agree more. I am a huge adrenaline junkie, and I still love JL for what it is. If i've just gone for lunch or if it's really stinking hot, I'll just go ride JL. It's not a bad ride, it's just not an "E-Ticket" IMHO. Does this mean I don't like it? Hell no! It's always a fun ride when you can spot out some of the DC references scattered throughout or maybe just even beat your own high-score. A lot of my friends (who aren't enthusiasts, I might add) love JL because it's fun and thrilling, but it's not extreme. I hope that something does change. With the current rate that DW is going at, I'll be really bummed out if MW just suddenly starts to slip back even further. Competition is always a good thing, especially in the theme park sector. I'm sure if DW didn't exist, then this behaviour from MW would be considered normal, or maybe even worse. I just look to their future with bright-eyes and hope that someone is reviewing the way that the park is being run and picks up on what is making them fall behind.1 point

I haven't really noticed any bar Scooby-Doo. I assume that Jet Rescue and MDMC would be in this category as well, due to the style of restraints.1 point

I think you could improve MDMC a lot by replacing the trains with ones similar to Jet Rescue. The gimmick of riding a motorbike isn't comfortable, leads to horribly slow load times, is bad for the staff from a manual handling point of view, and frankly isn't fun. I'd happily see it taken down and turned into a new themed land, but failing that new trains would help.1 point

That's exactly the problem that we've been going over and over for years. It's a good family coaster, but it's marketed as a "big 200000 thrill ride"1 point

There's a great comparison here too.... every once in a while, Disney (Dreamworld) come out with a stupidly fantastic product that everyone raves about - Frozen (Insert whichever ride you like best - eg: wipeout, ToT, GD etc) is the most recent example. But for all the blockbusters - like Frozen (claw) and the Little Mermaid (Thunder River), they also have their foul-ups - like Atlantis: The Lost Empire (MDMC) or The Rescuers Down Under (Buzzsaw). They can't all be blockbusters. If every film Disney did was the multi-billion dollar success that is the Frozen franchise - they'd have to slow down production - to give each film the chance to earn it's full worth before moving onto the next one. When Disney has a flop, it lets the film quietly fade into obscurity without much fanfare. They'll even halt work on a theme park attraction and go back to the drawing board if the film isn't as successful as they thought it would be (Atlantis \ Nemo Subs), but they don't withdraw the film for sale or viewing. They let it have it's run on video, and there will be some people out there who absolutely love it despite it being a bomb... This is MDMC. MDMC is Atlantis: The Lost Empire. It's a bomb. It's so bad because it was hyped up by the company prior to it's debut, everyone got excited. everyone raved about how awesome it was going to be... and then premiere day comes around.... and its disappointing... But all the merchandising and licensing agreements are in place and we've just spent millions... so we'll just put it out there, slowly try and recoup our costs, honour our licensing agreements and let it fade into the background slowly (or sometimes quickly).1 point

Does anyone else wish DW fixed the mine ride rather than building the moto-coaster?1 point

Wow! thats a lot of Turtles in that photo!1 point

Rivertown is getting new decking. The old paddle boat line area has been removed. It's gives you a great view of the river - it's a pity the river has a lot of slime and garbage to look at... There even is plant life starting to grow on top... But the turtles and eels don't seem to mind... Front entry fountain work1 point

That would have been quite interesting seeing an Arkham patient show up in the middle of a Scooby breakdown! lol.1 point
