Hi Adam Platinum SP details are planned for release tomorrow with the sale starting on Wednesday. Note there is no "Early Bird" price discount on these. We have been slightly held up by some associated Platinum merchandise deliveries which are now due to arrive at AW on Wednesday so our apologies for the slight delay. The speed of the lift has been rectified (it was operating for a while on a very slow mode that no one here picked up till someone mentioned here (thanks whoever that was) We also have all chairs back in action now where we were a little short at points last year. I fear we will still have fewer people coming down than going up which does mean alternate loading for the correct balance.

I've found my experiences to be a bit of a mix bag. If it's a slow day with minimal customers, it gets really boring. When it starts to pick up pace and you're on your feet then it starts to become more enjoyable. Could this relate to ride operators as well? I guess so. Some days you may not be 100%. Others you may be thinking it's the best ever. Same as any job really. I love it when ops change up the spiel a bit. Even tiny little additions or changes can make more of an experience for me.

While not my favourite, I think "Racing" is a pretty decent theme. For parks that don't tend to theme up their rides, it's a pretty quick and easy way to give any ride a quick aesthetic boost with a dash of "story". Take a look at Xcelerator at Knott's Berry Farm for example. They could've easily gone the way of rides such as Silver Bullet, with minimal themeing and story, but by adding a racing theme it gives sense to the experience as well as giving a nice appearance to the surrounds.

Because car racing is a common theme for many theme park rides. It's like saying "there's plenty of places movie fans can watch movies, so we don't need movie themed parks".

I can't see it being much different to many service sector jobs. Welcome to McDonald's, may I take your order?
