  1. Really? Based on what? Surely our 2 biggest cities in the nation could support a theme park- Sydney did it for nearly 20 years!! A decade is a long time....I feel certain that either Sydney or Melbourne will have a non water theme park of its own by 2025....population growth in that time would make a scenario for one in either city a very viable option. The success of Wet and Wild Sydney, the continued expansion of Adventure World in Perth-its only a matter of time before one of the big theme park companies looks to opportunities in Sydney and Melbourne. Just my opinion.

  2. I'm at Movie World today, so I'll give you guys a little update. Let me just preface this by saying that this was all done within public grounds. No fences where jumped and no trespassing done. I have a set of ethics and I really didn't want to ruin my relationship with the parks. If this seems uneventful, then too bad. Break the rules yourself. Firslty, the car on the fountain is gone and the fountain is operational. Speakers are lined on the road to the studios The facade of the maze in Intencity is clearly visible from the outside. Doesn't look to be much progress. Door of Studio 2 is wide open, with the basic walls for the maze sitting outside. An ambulance is parked in Main Street with small maze-like walls around it. This isn't a construction zone, but rather appears to be a part of a scare zone. Think the Barn at Horror Nights in Orlando about 2-3 years back.

  3. Certain things will get people's backs up: posting rumors from the dippin dots guy, or from 'my sisters boyfriends uncle who works at the park'asking questions that have already been answered in the threadAsking for updates on a topic that only had recent news mentioned a few days previouslysaying "i know what <X> is, but i can't say"stating assumptions as factdisagreeing with Robb Alvey on TPR pages and facebook feeds (but only if you're Robb Alvey)...I'm sure there's many things other non-moderator members could add. I'm sure the Mods could add a few too. There are plenty of examples where everyone here gets along well, and enjoys good debate. Many people on here i've had more than a few run-ins with, who I now consider a friend. There are also many more examples of people who are stupid. Tolerance level for stupidity is low here, and is generally reacted to with speed and fury. Nature of online communities (almost) everywhere I guess.

  4. No one is saying that Seaworld doesn't need 2 or 3 quality flats. I agree wholeheartedly with this. However, a ride as iconic as Corkscrew NEEDS to be replaced with a coaster that will similarly become as famous as its predecessor. This ultimately means a coaster of some form. What that form may take is open to speculation, but the fact is that Seaworld needs to find a suitable replacement for its most enduring ride. The point is that Corkscrew helped make Seaworld what it is today. It would be a miscalculation if the powers that be did not install a coaster to fill the skyline in the same way that Corkscrew did successfully for 32 years Now if within this footprint room for 2 quality flat rides can be found, then this will be a win win situation. I personally would love to see an Intamin Megalite or something similar from Mack go here. As I stated before, the removal of Corkscrew has freed up a large tract land. Seaworld has not had this much land to work with since Jet Rescue was installed. Lets hope they make some very calculated decisions regarding the best use of this space as it will impact the park for years to come. I am definitely hoping that sanity prevails and a coaster is the choice,
