  1. And just think, all you'd need to do is move the studios. You would then need to buy 2 of the world's longest coasters. The Beast (1979) Cost: $4000000 USD So..... Add some inflation: Now don't forget, we're buying 2 of them.... Now that's just in USD, so let's convert that back.... A quick bit of math... New ride to fill the space: $40,000,000 Plus the cost of demolition of the studios Plus the millions of dollars lost there once they're gone. Equals: You're full of shit.

  2. No, a more permanent structure does not mean a carnival ride is any better. It's the same ride, just with theming. This isn't Aussie World. Village Roadshow parks have quality standards. And sadly they have just dropped their bar in a major way if they think a 20+ year old show ride is what people expect to be added to their Park. No offense but I really hope you and Leviathan are wrong with your prediction ???

  3. Now now, they are saving money for the Motorcoaster relocation...

  4. All the way to paradise country hey? hopefully none of the people in the cabins or camping want a sleep in as the roller coaster rolls through at 10am

  5. I can tell you right now, the ride pictured is no where near as good as the The Claw. Constant complaints arise regarding the Luna Park installation; "the lap bars are too tight," the ride program is sickening". I'm almost confident that they would not have chosen this style of ride for its sheer lack of originality and good thrill.

  6. No, that was the other ride. Sadly if they're right, on paper it's a pretty pathetic addition to the park IMO.

  7. that's an old old ride though they need to put in something no one has seen before. that's what they said it would be?!

  8. Haha nice, I only visited Draculas for the first time last year (Dec) for my bday. Absolutely loved it! And yeah, as mentioned, you don't want to take the ghost train there too seriously. It's designed more for cheesy fun than as a proper dark ride. Think back to Grundy's days or the cheap ones you see at the Gold Coast show, and you'll have an idea of what to expect from it ?? Didn't know if that counted or not, being a roller-coaster and all. If it does, then yeah, definitely my fave current dark ride too ???

  9. Interesting to note the amount of temporary fencing still left on site. You have to wonder are they going to push the existing fencing out to create a larger space? I am looking forward to watching this area evolve. My have to finally reinvest in a pass.

  10. Hote Wheels has such a mediocre layout, it's gone from boring with a headache, to boring with less of a beating. I did read somewhere that when the State Govt in NSW re-opened Luna Park, they considered a coaster that was twice as big. That would have been awesome, you could reach out and steal a snag off one of the neighbours barbies. Frankly I find the museum a puzzling addition, I think Dreamworld should be seeing less of their crack dealer.

  11. Alright. I can't tell you my source without getting them into a lot of trouble. I can confirm 100% exactly what the park is getting for the area in front of the showstage. If you'd rather keep the surprise til the official announcement, don't click below. Otherwise here you go. The only problem is that it has a very low pph count to it and does require several staff.

  13. "That thing will jerk you around more than an epileptic prostitute" I hope she didn't hurt you dude. I'm really non-plussed by the exhibit and the Hot Wheels re-invention of the Arrow coaster, like icing on a dog turd really.
