  1. Tried it the other day. Kept crashing and when it worked it was just the normal money grab crap.

  3. From my memory, when the ride was scrapped, then CEO Tony Braxton Smith told the media that they were going to put the train on a piece of track in the park to pay homage. He also said they'd replace it with an even bigger thrill ride on the same spot. With that in mind, a piece of track, slightly curved but long enough to put nearly a full train on was left behind for many years in what would eventually become a ride boneyard of sorts. While this idea was coming into fruition, there was a single carriage left near the old staff smoko area for the team to jump in and get photos. This was all back during 2003-07. Girls replaced my focus for quite a few years after I left high school and I stopped going to theme parks for a while, and by the time I managed to hitch one for a little while and started heading back to the parks there wasn't a trace left. I have no doubt at this point some of the boys in engineering have most of the pieces and bits in their own stash sans the piece of track. From my own passing observations I haven't seen anything in the last few years now.

  6. Whilst this will give them a great "most-weather" venue in-park for events, i think the park as a day-guest has been in desperate need of this. With the exception of queuehouses, the park is severely lacking in covered areas for shelter, other than main gate. I look forward to it I wouldn't read too much into it - the artist's impression is meant to paint the 'picture perfect' look. I doubt sea world would ditch these. I would like to see them open the railway gate as a result of this however and finally allow a bypass. I feel like they will have to open the gate for the construction period anyway - and once they open it - it will prove that there is no reason for it to be closed!

  7. They must have been hanging out in the carpark all day waiting for something to go wrong to get that footage! Such a joke!

  8. Lol normally I wouldn't comment but that 7 story is hilarious!! Firstly in the opening shot the ride can be seen cycling in the background Then they say it's due to low air compression (wow good use of terminology there). Then you have the comment about 'industry insiders'. Notice they didn't say experts! So that's probably some 15 year old kid with a website. A park doesn't even give an opening time for an attraction on the same day, so why would they say when it will re-open. If it's an air leak, it probably needs a part which they obviously need to arrive and then install. Sooooo minor, remember air is used to OPEN not close breaks. Such a funny story of drivel to watch

  10. Visited DW today and while having a look in there Main Street Emporium shop I noticed one of there DW shirts recently done with buzzsaw, TOT2, River Rapids and more but the main thing that stuck out was the fact of them having Eureka Mountain and people who were seating in a mine cart with there arms in the air. Maybe I'm just going out on limb but my point is while would they personally put a closed down ride on there merchandise it would be like putting the Skylink Chairlift on a shirt, why unless they may personally have plans for it for the near future.

  11. Soooo.... the problem is that the ride's failure is causing it to be safe? Scary!

  12. I'm gonna call it already. I don't care what else comes out this year, this is my GOTY. I've spent roughly 3 hours just playing around with the scenery and all I've done so far is build 1 flat ride and I'm not even finished with it yet. The level of customisation and detail that's gone into this just shits all over anything RCT has done in the past.
