For construction that's going to start in July, they certainly are doing a very early media release about it. And by media release I mean I literally didn't hear about it until a friend shared a 7 News post a few moments ago.
With this thought in mind, I think it's been a constant bugbear for a lot of people over the years that the parks still have this Apple level of secrecy about new attractions because of the Ardent/VRTP rivalry when the reality is in the age of social media even Apple are getting more transparent. Even Disney, a company that once had the same psuedo-Masonry style level of secrecy about new attractions, is releasing video clips and artwork of new areas as they make them.
Granted, there's some interesting folk on here, but every basic digital marketing 101 strategy will tell you something like "engage your loyalists" as step one, and here we are in 2016 being the last to be informed when the reality is we're the ones who will proactively engage a huge audience, tell our friends and share the information around more then anyone else because we love the industry so much. Seems backwards.
