  1. Maybe the reason Wild West Falls is getting an extended refurb is so they can retheme in to a DC Villain? #wildwestjoker #cowboysandbatman #thatlastonesoundsdirtyinhindsight

  2. I'd be happy with a forceful hyper coaster with a long layout over a giga coaster that half the budget is blown on the first drop.

  3. Hey guys, a minor update around the park as I went to one of those "Stand Tall" events at LPS today. Even though the rides were shut today, during the lunch break I got a few glimpses of what is going on around the park. Tango Train is completely gone, 100% including the queue and facade and a "Magic in Progress" fence surrounds it. I noticed a wallpaper on the office building behind Tango that I didn't recognise (no photo taken, but it was red and white stripes with stars on it), can someone clarify if this was there before? There were no LPS staff on hand to give clues on a potential replacement, however this wallpaper if it is new means LPS are quick in replacing a ride that was only retired last month. No current modifications to the Flying Saucer background however it looks quite faded. In other news, the Big Dipper facade has been repainted to resemble the original design and has been changed from the blue that they had before, LED's have also been added to the entrance (I don't believe they had these before). It resembles the original Big Dipper facade and also looks like something out of Coney Island. The modification of the entrance gives me some hope that LPS are adding a coaster for the forseeable future, and looks much better than the blue they had before (and prior to that red). If a coaster was to be built, I doubt LPS would look look at a launch coaster such as Superman , if they were going for the Big Dipper aesthetic. It would need to be a traditional lift hill coaster to fit that bill.

  5. I gotta say I had way more fun on Kawasemi than I did Steel Dragon or Fujiyama despite Kawasemi being nearly 1/3 both their height. I guess it's the same idea that's been proven with rides like Maverick, these days the money you spend on a one trick pony like Top Thrill Dragster or Tower of Terror could be better spent on something innovative.

  6. Most of the recent Giga Coasters have been far too short. Case in point Leviathan, whose brake run is over 100 feet in the air. I'd rather see something smaller that makes full use of its potential energy. If the rumours I'm hearing are true I might be buying some flights...

  7. I was at the park this afternoon as well and I had the exact same thought. Even though it's not as tall as some other rides, it still feels intimidating and imposing, even from behind the construction fence. I wonder why they are painting the control booth teal. I thought for a villainous themed area they might have gone for a bit more of a darker colour scheme, rather than a bright blue. Perhaps it could just be a base colour, with some more paint to come?

  8. Was at park this morning and looks like the bank? near the toilet block is almost complete, and the control booth was being painted a beautiful teal colour... And as first time been there since the western theme was demolished... Photos do not do the size of this ride any justice...
