  1. Guess Movie World really liked it so they put a ring on it!

  3. Yes there is still mazes going into the sheds, but I have good reason to believe that a themed bar/drink outlet (not necessarily alcoholic, either) is being built into that end for convenience of guests, since the new maze sheds are distanced so far away from other park food and beverage outlets. Make of it what you will, but it makes total sense to me ??

  4. The sad part was you were lying and people believed you, but Iwerks was telling the truth and people thought he was lying.

  5. Looks like you're on the money, @Theme Park Ninja. This was the façade from the "Dusk til Dawn" maze at Halloween Horror Nights a few years back. The resemblance is clear to see

  6. You want them to paint Arkham for Fright Nights? I don't think you'd notice the difference in the dark... Maybe a Dusk til Dawn precinct - maze and bar with roving scarers. Make senses to de-centralise the scare actors, which was my one complaint last year with very little outside of Main Street

  14. I must confess, I did think Bounty's Revenge had run its shelf life and 30 years is a good innings. As for the new space, a flat roller coaster would fit nicely; although as the bumper boats recently had a pirate themed facelift, I wouldn't be surprised if the Pirates returned in the form of a lazy river or a log flume. Alternatively, what about following a car/racing theme? Along with the go karts, the bumper boats could be re themed to be raced around the perimeter and a new coaster could be similar to EPCOTs test track. Of course, everything might already be decided so we'll have to wait and see.

  15. Have a gander at this awesome Scenic Railway in Spain!! Built in 1928, its one of only 7 pre-WW2 roller coasters with brakemen (like Melbourne's Luna Park's Scenic Railway, also known as 'side-friction') still operating in the world. The name translates as 'Swiss Mountain'. Thought this worth a share! Enjoy!

  17. That's my point - even in an environment where some other attractions are closed Superman is often enough of a carry for people to recommend the park over Dreamworld. There's a lesson to be learned there for our parks, for sure.
