Was just on the first public cycle of Doomsday! Such a fun ride, I loved it! And I'm usually not the best with spin and spews, hahaha. The area and the ride is amazing ❤️

So long as no one broke any rules, did anything stupid or pestered any staff then I don't see the harm in sharing photos of anything and everything. That's pretty much the Parkz policy. I think it all looks really great and any publicity by way of photos on Parkz is only going to help build hype at this point.

Not sure how many people have realised this here amongst all the recent excitement of new attractions at neighbouring parks... but the Super 8 Aqua Racer slides at Wet N Wild GC have seen their final days, and are currently being completely dismantled piece by piece. Not a bad thing in my opinion, given the poor condition the slides had deteriorated to over the past nearly 20 years.. I can't even remember when the last time I saw the timing/placement technology working accurately. The counter displays at the finish line have been out of action for a long time! I was informed today by Wet N Wild staff that a new & much improved version of the attraction will be built in its place. This will apparently be happening over the next 3 months, since the slide is currently scheduled to reopen on Monday 19th December.

And just because I went today for like 2 hours and usually can't post until night, here is my contribution.

I apologise if I caused any grief on here by posting some of these pictures ? just before asks, none of the MW employees in the area didn't pull me up on the photos that I took today despite the fact some of them saw me taking photos, but nonetheless it's going to be awesome to see the final product in seven days ?

I disagree. I reckon it's without doubt the best ride signage in the park. I'm glad to see WVTP haven't given up on decent 3D signage -- I was getting a bit worried after the effort over at Junior Driving School (the flat super basic sign on the side of the shed). Meanwhile, looks like the fog effects aren't happening yet.

I hope when they say 'new and improved' they mean 'exactly the same'. Best slide in the park, just pure fun, not extra gimmicks required.

Keeping with the same theme, a KrackenRACER would fit the space nicely.

@Richard yeah, I know. I'm just aware of what was asked by the general manager of peeps who attended the TVC, so I'm trying to be somewhat respectful of that. At the time, what statues in the area that were covered or off limits, was also requested to be off limits to the internet until the official opening day. Waiting one more week can't hurt.

Doomsday 'soft' opens and Tiger Island reopens, roller coaster speculation grows at Movie World and dies at Dreamworld Queensland School holidays are underway today and with them comes technical rehearsals for Doomsday Destroyer and the long-awaited redeveloped Tiger Island.
