You mean? https://qimagery.information.qld.gov.au/ Whoops? Was that supposed to be a secret or something? It's lucky, normally images should credit the original source anyways. He'res a few I've found on there: Logan Wild Waters, which is where Hyperdome is now: The Weigand toboggan run that was at Samford grass ski park Olympia Water park at Alex headland. The old terror canyon and river rapids slides, before they were replaced with terror canyon 1 & 2 Some small park in Oxley behind Harvey Norman, where the slide tower was standing as recently as 2008. Has a minature railway, slides, go karts, and some sort of animal exhibit?6 points

Maybe the coaster track has been here the whole time! Invisible track for Wonder Woman coaster confirmed!5 points

See, THIS is the sort of thing I imagine for Carnivale. Turn this into a night event (whether it be at WnW or otherwise) to add to the roster. Run THIS in summer and have carnivale at another time - there are plenty of pacific islanders in SE QLD for this to have appeal, and plenty of cultural depth to explore...3 points

Nice find! It's also a great look ahead to what the park will look like in 20193 points

The signs saying that were on the construction fencing, which has now been removed because they have installed the new fencing. And because of the concrete columns, if they were to hang the signs again, they wouldn't be flat, and would be bent at points were there are the columns2 points

Damn it @Gazza I was hoping to be the one to shit on his parade! I found that site as the second or third link in Google but didn't poke around long enough to realise it was the right place2 points

Placeholders are in place for Batwing (Drop Towers are coming in a future update/DLC) Superman (great one in the workshop) and AA (Not so great one in the workshop). And some work has taken place on JL3D. Thanks @jjuttp for the image above.2 points

I just found a website where you can view high-quality historical satellite imagery of the Gold Coast. It is amazing seeing the theme parks in such detail in the past. Just an idea to 'past the time' until MW's hypercoaster track/support pieces appear, if anyone wants to see something specific of a Gold Coast theme park, just post below and I'll upload one (or the most popular request) each day until then. I'll provide the link to the full website (and thus, the source of the imagery) when the pieces arrive if there was something you wanted to see that had not yet been posted. To start off, here is Sea World on Tuesday the 10th of July 1973:1 point

If the rides good I don't care if it's dc or not When you think about it, it would be strange to theme a coaster as the flash when it's going to be similar to the flash coaster in china. Maybe it will be something different hmmm1 point

@Cactus_MattAt least the Joker would give me my purple and this is one of the reasons I'm not that keen on the flash coaster. MW already have a red track. If they go Flash I would like to see the supports red and the track yellow. @reanimated35 Since when have I ever been bizarre?1 point
-
The main reason I think it will Joker or villain themed (so maybe even Harley Quinn, though less likely imo) is because of the whole super villains unleashed thing they did for Doomsday, I think this coaster will be an extension of that. Though I do agree they have too many DC themed rides I hardly think that's going to stop them.1 point

That's a bizarre colour scheme, but could look pretty interesting.1 point

@Cactus_Matt you are correct about Dreamworld- there was in fact a Pirates themed high dive Stunt Show that was a Holiday Attraction and located roughly where Tiger Island sits today. It was a travelling show of sorts and I believe some of the Divers from the show at the time made their fame from the World Expo88 show. That said, it would have been in the 1990s. My guess it would be somewhere around 1992/93 summer. Not sure if there was any affiliation with this show and the one at Wonderland.1 point

Interesting skeet fact. An incident occurred in New South Wales in which a person stumbled and fell, impaling himself on an exposed reinforcement bar. The bar had a rebar-cap on it, but the cap offered no protection against impalement as the weight of the worker against the rebar-cap was sufficient for it to be pierced by the bar. Research carried out following the incident included tests that involved dropping a 20 kg bag of sand one metre onto a vertical reinforcement bar. This showed that standard rebar-caps provide little, if any, protection against impalement on reinforcement bars should a person fall against them, even for a fall on the same level. Rebar-caps are only intended to provide visual warning of a hazard and protection against brush contact with burred ends of the bars. They are not a means to control the risk of impalement. Raising the nuts does not fill the requirement of a visual hazard which is why I think we are ready for blast off. (Super side note if the builders have finished with that area they also might be removed because nobody will have access to that area until they go up). Yes that's right folks you heard it here first. Nothing at all will happen on site for a while or Construction will be amped up. I’m glad I could clear that up.1 point

I recall one being hosted at Australia's Wonderland in Sydney in the 90s - maybe thats what you were thinking of? Australia's Wonderland had a Pirate Ship overlooking a lake area near the front of the park with a stepped area for the audience to sit.1 point

I mean seriously - the site is about sharing what you can. If you know something but can't reveal it fine, but there is no reason why a publicly accessible information source should have been kept under wraps just so you could lord it over people. Thanks for the contribution @Gazza, it's nice to share.1 point

Yeah pretty average effort, but not surprising to see this come out of somewhere like China where they're certainly more lax and more self-regulating in terms of safety. Will be quite keen to see where the failure was.1 point

Honestly I should close this topic. But it's such a train wreck that I can't bring myself to do it. And yes, obviously Theme Parks a Go-Go will be your go to source for theme park news, unless it's sold to one of the other pages first.1 point

Lol funny. But come on guys you all know if there's gonna be a real scoop you're gonna see it on Theme Parks A Go-Go before anywhere else.1 point
