The team work here is amazing.. at this rate we'll be have the layout mapped, theme sorted and be able to call the Bulletin and make the announcement ourselves before MW does..4 points

it's just an exercise in accounting though isn't it? I mean Village own both properties (hell the land is one lot) - if the studios aren't booked by anyone for that period, surely they could utilise them? On the flip side - it's great to see that the park is prevented from using them by major motion picture shooting - it used to be a guarantee that those two studios would be a fright night's given - and I doubt they would have locked them out if a production wanted to use them, as i'm sure production houses would have to pay far more, since they would need to use more facilities - but its good to see more filming being completed here locally - our film industry is important.4 points

I have a few requests, (and these are made in my capacity as a member of this forum and nothing more): Please stop trying to control the conversation on these boards by withholding information. Please stop adding polls to every post you create - that's what the reply function is for. Meaningful discussion is better when you aren't asking people to answer several usual questions with a radio button Please stop reminding everyone that you 'predicted' something that happens by trawling back through your old posts and then linking that post to the current thread just so you can point out you had the right answer. When you post so many different theories, one of them is bound to stick eventually. You're now the butt of a joke (the fridge), not to mention i'm very annoyed you were wrong about the timeline as i've now wasted several sheets of paper, not to mention COLOUR ink and a laminating sheet on a timeline that isn't true. Who's going to buy me an ink refill now? You are this forum's equivalent of a "FIRST!!!!" post. Please continue to post things that are interesting, and meaningful to our discussion - and I GENUINELY mean that sincerely. The Wonderland link you posted the other day contained video that the folks over at Wonderland History have not seen - and given their absolute dedication to all things Wonderland, it was a complete surprise that they didn't know about it - You do a great job trawling the internet and finding things - like the site above - but then you go and spoil it all by saying something stupid like..."i'll reveal the source later". Honestly, I know that all that is a lot to ask, so really, i'll be happy if you can do at least 2 of them for me. Thanks!4 points

Fence update (There is only one more part that needs doing) All the red caps on the footings have been replaced, except from those that are outside the fence and that are angled And wow that grass has grown quick3 points

Why do people think that they have to wait until the track is finished before they start on the queue? does the queue go over the track? or under it? It's highly unlikely that the two will impact on each other. We usually see the station built first. Then, whilst the track boys are halfway to Wet N Wild, they can bring in every tradesman under the sun to do queue. No lost time! Guys, it's the 7th of February. We've seen activity in the past 48 hours where they have been prepping the footings and cleaning them up. School Holidays start on 16 September. We have more than 7 months. Flash at lewa had track arrive in December, and January, and the ride was topped off in early-mid August. Test runs were October before a January 1 Opening. Now - although it took a year for them to go from track to open, a couple of things to bear in mind: Movie World isn't their first Hyper. they will have learned many lessons before now Lewa was a brand new park, which only opened 6 months prior to Flash. They had EIGHT coasters under construction at around the same time Although the dates given above are what i've been able to find, we have no way of knowing whether the site had been prepped \ footings put in before track arrived on site - they were building an entire park They were building an entire park - so not only did they have to construct a coaster, they had to construct all the other elements of the park at the same time. Basically what i'm saying is that there was a lot going on there. In our case - we have one site, one project, all the tenders have been out for months. Everyone is ready to lunge forward at this stuff and I reckon 7 months is probably a reasonable time to hit the mark... although we have seen them shoot past their opening dates before. September is still an easy possibility, and worst case, the usual Boxing Day opening is still well within reach.3 points

This thread makes my brain hurt. With the source now posted there's no real reason to leave it open. If you two want to continue to bicker then take it to PMs cause I'm pretty sure you're the only two reading your posts anyway.2 points

Way too cryptic for me tonight... Is it a pot of gold? The missing track for the MW hyper? a Wanda executive with a large briefcase?2 points

Who cares if it was copy and pasted - what better way to get information than have it directly repeated from the official site? Why should it be reworded? How is life in that glass house of yours? You've collectively tarred every person working for VRTP because of what is likely a typo, or an auto correct. You spelled Thoroughly wrong You spelled certainly wrong And this is ironic: So i'm just curious as to how VRTP have been tools to you? I heard you were banned from the parks for a time, and whilst I can understand you being unhappy about it, as I understand, you were being tools to them, which brought on the ban, so hardly a good enough reason for you to call them out on their spelling, given your statement above...2 points

Damn it @Gazza I was hoping to be the one to shit on his parade! I found that site as the second or third link in Google but didn't poke around long enough to realise it was the right place2 points

Nice find! It's also a great look ahead to what the park will look like in 20192 points

It was announced this morning in an interview with Craig Davidsons, that stage 2 for Dreamworlds Corroboree would be completed this year. No details at this stage of what this includes, but I personally hope they upgrade Crocodile enclosures, remove the chairlift station, and maybe this could be the end of vintage cars, or they are improved upon to make them popular like they were back in the day.1 point

I think it's trying to communicate... Anyway, if you couldn't give "2 shiz" about likes, then stop asking for them. On a more topic-related note, I'd think the footings will be coming very soon by the look of those pics. A lot of smallish parts left lying around footings - which you wouldn't do if you were expecting not to work on them for a number of weeks. I'd say it will be within the next fortnight at the latest that footings start to go in. Don't quote me on that, I'm just guessing like the rest of you.1 point

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!!!!!!!! Welcome to the forums @wileecoyote - you're going to fit in just fine. Thanks for the pictures. What @YLFATEEKS meant was his theory about the footing bolts being coloured to match the support columns was 'sunk' or discredited by the pictures you posted. You solved a mystery, and very quickly at that, AND paid attention to the page count for the current saga of 'how many posts can we make about getting to 100 pages before we get to 100 pages' to boot.1 point

Haha... i don't want a walk-though or a monorail though...1 point

Even if it were just an acrylic side-wall like the tigers Brad I think would work - Wonderland's wildlife park offered something similar and it was really awesome to get up close with Maniac like that.1 point

I'd love to see an underwater viewing area for the crocs, but know that's probably asking too much.1 point

Going off a conversation I had with Churro/dipping dots dude the other day (so am not vouching for accuracy here).. DW won't be looking at future water-based rides in the park, as the 'wet' section of the park will be WWW which they really want to push as being an inclusive land/part of DW itself. He said there had been no official word to staff on the future of RHLR the overall belief of staff is it's had it's last ride. But hey, we can always hope for an extension to WWW one day and maybe a modern flume ride over that side of the park.. As for the expanse of land that can be reclaimed by removing TRR, RHLR, Blue Lagoon etc.. I'd like to see: *a signature coaster for the northern boundary of the park - keeping in mind the entertainment precinct/boulevarde running from the Town Centre to a 'planned' additional gate for DW. * family dark ride to make use of the majority of the reclaimed from TRR & Eureka mountain1 point

Dreamworld CEO, Craig Davidson, did a 14-minute interview on ABC Gold Coast radio (97.1FM) yesterday: Some key points/quotes: "The only ride that hasn't come through that (safety audit process) is because we're.working on an annual shutdown of the ride is the Wipeout ride" "We're starting to see (attendance) numbers return to some sort of normality post-those rides coming back online" "I think Dreamworld absolutely has a future" "We've been fantastically surprised by the popularity of LEGO as it opened" "We are diverse and I think we have to continue to diversify the offering of the park" "We'll complete Stage 2 Of Dreamworld Corroboree. That completes that whole area this year so that will be open sometime later this year" "We'll start that (Thunder River Rapids decommissioning) process now now that we've gotten through the holiday period" "There's been many thoughts around what it (Thunder River Rapids replacement) could be but for the minute, what we'll do is fully decommission the ride and then we'll make a decision as to what we do with that space so that's the 1st step. We'll commence that soon" "The (Thunder River Rapids) ride is not operating and elements of it have been decommissioned and we'll continue that process now so there is no access to that area of the park obviously but we'll go through that in a methodical way and do it the right way" "I mentioned entertainment earlier and it's been a really good outcome in terms of the change to the park operations since we haven't had some of the thrill rides operating" "We've had fantastic feedback from customers in the park and from our guests about that change (entertainment) and we'll continue to do that" "Frankly, that (revenue) is the least of our worries" "In fact, Australia Day we actually had a larger crowd in the park than the same day last year on Australia Day so there's some really positive signs coming through" "Our weekend trade is coming back to some sort of normality" "No, we haven't (let staff go due to revenue loss) and look, we managed the staff to the numbers of guests in park obviously" Just a thought - Does anyone think Stage 2 Of Dreamworld Corroboree could be the reason the Vintage Cars is closed?1 point

Even if it didn't, the purpose of the 2 new sheds was to never need the studios again, thereby saving a decent chunk of money.1 point

The signs saying that were on the construction fencing, which has now been removed because they have installed the new fencing. And because of the concrete columns, if they were to hang the signs again, they wouldn't be flat, and would be bent at points were there are the columns1 point

Station was long to try to match up the track length to the rest of the layout. Should be able to fit the theming but I can easily do it again haha. I did say I wasn't great at it.1 point

I mean seriously - the site is about sharing what you can. If you know something but can't reveal it fine, but there is no reason why a publicly accessible information source should have been kept under wraps just so you could lord it over people. Thanks for the contribution @Gazza, it's nice to share.1 point

Placeholders are in place for Batwing (Drop Towers are coming in a future update/DLC) Superman (great one in the workshop) and AA (Not so great one in the workshop). And some work has taken place on JL3D. Thanks @jjuttp for the image above.1 point

Alright @YLFATEEKS this is going to be an expensive week. So, what were you looking to have shared? I think I've also decided that I've come too far to be bothered starting again anyway @Gazza and there's still a chance I'll get bored and never finish it. With that said, I think I'll keep this as a "based on a true story" kind of park rather than a "documentary". A lot of it will probably be a fair way outside my skill set to replicate as it is, so this will be reasonably close in layout and ride terms, but still different in the end. Cheers for the suggests and help though.1 point

Yeah but if I use subbed ones that aren't based off MW, then it's not going to be a recreation.1 point

I tried and gave up. No actual wild mouse coaster in the game. I'll get around to it eventually if my park makes it that far. Not looking forward to trying to do main street though1 point

This is what happens when you get distracted doing other things and forget you had the game open. But I got this almost done so that's something.1 point

The game is highly CPU intensive. This is running on ultra and on an empty park only gets 85fps. If I turned off the 2 other screens and lowered the gfx I could probably bump that up, but I prefer to play in borderless window mode so I can multitask.1 point

@Jamberoo Fan i love your passion, that you are detailed, you explain yourself. BUT... im not sure whether it's your style of writing or an actual belief, but you are increasingly coming across as a "I know more than you do" "holy than thou" contributor. We have @loki75 join the conversation and offer up some info he feels comfortable sharing, and whilst we all receive anything unconfirmed with trepidation and an element of skepticism, you wrote post after post, and long drawn out ones at that, basically telling him he's wrong, but at the same time admitting you haven't seen the plans yourself so are only guessing. You need to ease back, not in your number of posts or your effort to get involved in topics, most of your stuff is quality, but you are starting to really overanalyse and over critique to the point your posts have gone from adding value to the conversation to now being about trying to prove you know more and everyone else is wrong.1 point

In a nutshell. thanks for the summary. I really wish I could live in your world sometimes. So fanciful and unrealistic. Also, Please stop quoting entire posts when they're right above the one you're making. its unnecessary and i've worn out two scroll mouses having to deal with that.0 points

Nice to hear about Wonderland History's reaction. Firstly, this was the only time that I haven't posted the source intentionally so stop making a huge drama over it - I was always going to post the source when the hypercoaster pieces arrived anyway. If the '2017 Movie World roller coaster' topic was actually on-topic in the past week or so, I wouldn't have withheld the source temporarily. I don't - only when I think it's a topic suitable for a poll. The number of votes made in a poll I find usually outnumbers the number of posts made on a non-poll topic's first day anyway. If anything, to me, it adds to the discussion and allows everyone to see clearly the opinion of all forum members. I'm not stopping people from replying - if they don't want to add detail comment, that's their choice. A poll also prevents pointless short posts like 'yes' or 'no'. I only remind people of 'predictions' when firstly, they ask forum members when/what they think something will occur & secondly, when they have clearly forgotten or not yet read already confirmed or very 'educated guessed' information (like, for the latter, when hypercoaster track pieces will be installed). Had I didn't post that guess timetable, imagine how many more times we would have seen posts saying "When will the track be installed?" over the past 4 month period. I only made that guess timetable to prevent that from happening as best as possible. And I haven't pointed out to anyone that my predictions were accurate if they did become accurate. The linking of old posts is because firstly, to avoid me reposting the whole post and secondly, to provide a link for readers to provide background on my post if they haven't read those posts yet. I also don't have several theories for 1 future event. I always have 1 theory for each but they will vary over time when new information is released. The hypercoaster timeline, so far, is still nearly accurate and I clearly said it was only "an indicative guide". The only things confirmed as incorrect are the opening date (this wasn't my guess but based on the overall opinion of the forum at the time of posting), which I updated the timeline for as well as the construction fencing advertising (1 month ahead). Track installation I wrote would start in late-January. It has only been a week since then & forum members have since speculated that track installation is imminent due to the caps on the footings being removed. For an installation period that I'd estimated to last until mid-May, 1 week difference is not that much of a mistake so far & for all I know, the removal of the footing caps could be considered the 'unofficial beginning' of the track installation period too. As for the track/support pieces arriving, which I put as November/December, for all I know, they could have been hidden in the BOH areas of the Entertainment Road property or somewhere completely external to that property. Also, why consider my guess timeline true when I've clearly said it is a guess based on SE? Lastly, don't compare me to a "First!!!!" poster - the forum's equivalent to that is someone who makes the first reply to a topic & brags about that fact.-1 points
-
I think that means the track is late so it most likely will open in either late September or anytime in the October but it should open this year but if it has problems then I Quess it will open early next year... Let's hope it Dosent do a lightning rod on us-2 points
