@MickeyD thank you! You're welcome ☺️ I try to be thorough with my coverage. I personally believe that the little things count just as much in the bigger picture! ??2 points

I'm glad I'm not the only one that feels like every update Parkz (or anyone else) does is deja vu. There's only so many things you can say about concrete footings, and we've been saying it on repeat for about three or four months...2 points

@BiggieNiggie Have you tried emailing Movie World directly to ask about it? Or even just message them directly via their official FB page, their social media team are fairly on the ball with general Q&A. They would likely point you in the best direction to find it (if it has been commercially released in any way, of course) ☺️ Good luck ?2 points

Sorry for the bad topic title but I wasn't sure what to call it and just wanted to share as I thought what happened was pretty cool. Again, my apologies if there is already a thread for this or if it belongs elsewhere. I rode the Tower of Terror 2 today at Dreamworld and the launch started all very normal but towards the end of the tunnel the car started to slow down considerably and we barely got vertical on the tower. We rolled back down but only got about halfway back through the tunnel. Then the car rolled back outside and we ended up coming to a stop right at the entrance of the tunnel. We sat there for a bit and maintenance came and they had to winch us back to the station. I would guesstimate that the whole experience was only about 10 minutes. I thought it was very cool. Have any of you fellow riders experienced something similar?1 point

ust thought I'd point out one of the new improvements going on at WhiteWater World of late. I noticed this afternoon that a new sound system has been installed into the Cave of Waves wall, so now the park music and also the Huey wave warning can now be heard clear as day ☺️ Also I know it was a couple of months ago, but not sure if it was mentioned on here at the time - the original water effects for the wall have been restored (they were turned off in the above photos as it was just after 5pm, so here's a photo below from another recent day lol. New cabanas are also being built in place of the old Frozen coke stand that used to be behind the Green Room.1 point

@Theme Park Girl I know what you mean about missing out on interesting/exciting things at the park. I can't believe how incredibly lucky I was to have this experience today. For those of you interested, this was the ride photo -1 point

@Aimsley81 D'oh! Yep, I was there at that time, but up the back in the Corroboree watching all the early goings on toward the Stage 2 upgrade lol. I guess this adds to my list of exciting/interesting things that happen behind my back at the parks whilst I'm there, or have just left (although I dare say that there was one fateful day late last year that I'm very glad to have left the park when I did! I consider that a blessing ??) You're lucky to have gotten that experience haha! Should have asked them for a copy of the ride photo of the rollback, would have been hilarious ?1 point

What day, exactly? Every day I've been over the past fortnight (which has been a few times) hasn't had queue times that long. If anything it's been practically walk on, since it's off-peak atm. In fact last week we had to wait about 10 minutes for the minimum amount of people for ToTII to accumulate, just so we could ride it. So I'd love to know exactly what day you speak of when every man and his dog apparently attended the park?1 point

Congratulations, you just experienced a rollback! (or as much as you can call it one on ToT)1 point

just to spark a bit of conversation, i have strong reasons to believe that this is the time when the portion of the track near green lantern will be put in.1 point

I'd say its to keep the cost of the energy bill down. If not enough people are going, then whats the point in opening rides in non-peak hours? It just wastes money.1 point

Lol. Could be worse. I could be posting photos identical to the last lot that were shared as an 'update'. Decided to just do a brief post instead ? Lol no worries. Exactly the reason why I think it can't hurt to know if someone's had a look recently, that way we aren't all wasting trips out there, or wondering if we've missed something in each others absence. Sharing is caring, right? #teamwork ??1 point

For a second there I was wondering how/why you were in the croc enclosure looking out at the park guests.1 point

@BiggieNiggie It's not a song, it doesn't have lyrics. It's just creepy background music on loop. Wouldn't surprise me if VRTP had it made up from scratch for the ride itself, otherwise possibly taken from the old cartoons?1 point

Just drove past MW, still no movement #updatetosaytheresnoupdate lol. Hopefully everyone else is also keeping a close eye on things ?1 point

The AWU already showed its poor form during the DW incident. I’m more interested to find out what time the bbq will fire up and when the sausages will start to flow. I can’t really comment on MW wages because I don’t know anything about them.1 point

@djrappa What's political about a union asking for higher wages for it's members?1 point

I'm not disappointed with two-train operation - provided the staff can get dispatches going with minimal times sitting on the brakes/transfer, other hypercoasters and gigacoasters have proven that it can be done just as well with two trains, and it also eliminates the need for a MCBR.1 point

I don't mind it, but when you here it every single time you walk through that part of the park, and it seems to be at the same point, it does start to get annoying. I've had friends comment when we've visited the park, and sat out the front of the ride, that they too thought it was annoying,1 point

The Avalanche was one of my favorite rides at Dreamworld as a kid was beautifully themed in the 80s/90s with the log cabin entrance and waterfall coming down the mountain the Bavarian village around it and the yhetti above your head with glowing red eyes inside when the lights went out in the mountain it went pitch black so it was a unique experience than other Matterhorn rides and it was quite a fast ride in its early life before its reskin for nickelodeon kids area1 point

There is also The Thunder Bolt (Bells amustments) and Rock N Roll (Chants amustments). Plus The rage (L&L Osbroune Showtime amustments) is the same ride type but instead of hanging the cars are on rails. Here is a link to how the ride gets set up. This version requires 2 trailers and takes a long time to set up as they build it from scratch. This is why it only gets used once a year. Instead most other versions still have 2 trailers but the whole roof folds in. Like below:1 point

I reckon I do remember the yeti thing, it was in the roof on the South East side of the ride. Don't remember the glowing red eyes though1 point

If I remember right, the old queue setup had it that it was 90 minutes from the entrance to the skull, but since they terminate the queue at the top of the final stairs now, it would spill out partway down the outside portion of the queue. A two-hour queue would definitely go past the entrance to the ride - @Rollercoaster_Lover I'm really getting sick of these troll posts that you're making, even if it was a long queue, 2 hours is absurd and an unneeded exaggeration.-1 points

Ok.mi went to Dreamworld the other day and it was the busiest day yet. I had to wait 30mins for claw and 2hrs for Tower Of terror-2 points
