  1. Arent there moderate speed gentle ups and downs on Roadrunner, and start of Scooby Doo?

  2. You need to remember GL's inversions are slow with lots of hang time - almost gentle. I wouldn't mind one or two fast-paced, intense rolls on the new coaster. Sure, AA has them, but sometimes it's a little rough - this coaster I'm sure will be glossy smooth.

  3. It was removed because of the stress on trains, not on riders. You really think it would have made it that far through the design/construction process if it was deadly? Just looking at these track pieces and discussion in here, seems like a lot of them are curving inwards with a lot of talk of inversions/intense elements for my liking. Hopefully some airtime pieces arrive soon. My guess for the really twisted one is for the start of the first drop. Not really heartlined enough for what you'd expect from a high speed twist, unless Mack are flashing a big middle finger to Intamin and are having their own go at the scrapped roll from Maverick.

  5. The story has been updated. There was no SMASHING of trains. It was a minor low speed bumping. Typical sensationalist new reporting and people wanting to get their name on the news.

  7. Always leave all my stuff in the boxes at Arnhem, with One train operation if something goes missing there's only one 2 people who could have it and that's the ride attendants.

  8. Chances are, you're going to have your bag, wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses etc - you're not just leaving a credit card in the box. Besides - one train operation - not really a problem, hey?

  10. Keep the spline connectors in mind when trying to assemble pieces into elements. @Skeeta I think they were referring to the stuff I've circled in the pic below.

  11. I didn't get to pick my seat @XxMrYoshixX, however I'm sure you would be able to if you asked. Here's a photo (the rest turned out pretty shit so I only got one).

  12. Can somebody please point out the spine change in this photo? I feel like I'm missing something here. When I first pictured what this twist was doing I thought something like below but when I place them side by side it is nothing alike.

  15. I'm interested to see some brakes, yeah, I know possibly the lamest thing to want to see from a roller coaster but I've never seen a brake run separated from a roller coaster and just have an odd itching to see what it looks like. HEHE!

  16. Plenty more track on site today (Photo TPSN)

  17. Would be a good 20 or so pieces of track in the carpark now, and a similar number of supports. Crane's lifting more pieces out and more Top Golf bits & pieces also being taken out of enclosed containers and placed on the far perimeter near the metal sheeting and access tunnels. Here's the latest piece to be taken out... now I'm off to work haha

  18. Could more photos from later today from TPSN. You can see how many supports they fit in a container, and they've also installed the second roof cover

  19. ^Yes I've heard it doesn't make you sick like a simulator. I know I struggle with some simulators. Funnily I really had to fight the barf doing an aerobatic flight last year, it felt like a simulator lol just with serious g forces. I agree with djrappa that they are putting this on some really good coasters rather than lacklustre rides is a shame. I mean Superman at Six Flags New England has it, which is disappointing because it's an awesome coaster already and based on the anecdotal evidence so far, lines will be scary.

  20. I think enhancing a lackluster rise might be alright. But I mean a motion base and some fans could achieve pretty much the same result. I like the optional enhancement but for me personally I want to ride restored revolution in all its historical glory, not strap a phone to my head. I don't like the idea of it being compulsory.

  21. ^The Europa Park VR is the one I'm most keen to try, as the ride video was developed by their in-house media team (Mack Media). I suspect that like a lot of attractions, the quality of the VR experience is going to vary widely between parks.

  22. Hmm. Surely there's already plenty of twists and rolls (for those who enjoy that sort of thing) on Green Lantern. What would be wrong with just some pleasant ups and downs at moderàte speed? It wouldn't really live up to any movie theme, but at least it would be enjoyable as well as providing some interesting views.
