I drove past Movie World this morning, it looks as if a couple of supports have gone up.8 points

Based on those supports, looks like there will be a downward or upward spiralling helix or curve of some sort at that place. If MW don't announce the coaster by the end of next week, I will have to make the conclusion that their marketing team have been drunk for the past 6 months.7 points

It's not too hard to work out which supports will go up next with these tie-down rods now missing their nuts. Next time somebody is at MW having a look to should be able to tell which way the train will run by the K labels written on the footings. K001 is the first support foundation in the middle of the station & 193 is the last label at the end of the track. The base plates are getting big.3 points

I don't think we've ever seen a single construction topic on these boards take 123 pages before we have actual ride pieces installed.... thank god for something new to discuss.3 points

Stay tuned everyone for photos, unless someone else gets there first.2 points

The story has been updated. There was no SMASHING of trains. It was a minor low speed bumping. Typical sensationalist new reporting and people wanting to get their name on the news.2 points

Yeah it's just you, Most people prefer to be uninjured when they get off a rollercoaster.2 points

Nope, and you may have missed the z at the end of my quip, à la Parkz.1 point

Have to be honest. I've never known so much hype and carry on for a tiny little lolly shop. Put me firmly in the 'I don't get it' camp. Like if this was at a Westfield would anyone care?1 point

A couple of Weeks or days... is that the timeframe they gave you?? No wonder we haven't had an announcement...1 point

If you go by the support numbers it's out of the turnaround. I think most people agree the turn around might be the same as Flash. I think the arrow is the location of the supports that went up today.1 point

Went into the store on my visit to DW today and must say, it was even smaller than what the photos showed. Really small. But I suppose it is enough space for what's needed.1 point

Air time hill, turn to the right, into turn around element? That's what I make out of this1 point

You say there is (or want to know if there is) a design in place to prevent a car automatically proceeding along a segment of track. I'm saying that even if there is, it shouldn't allow for any staff to be on the ride path during a cycle as there is always the possibility of something going wrong.1 point

@Skeeta yeah, all around that corner. Here's a couple more pics, if it helps...1 point

I don't even have a camera but the fence will leave an impression on my face sometime today. Is this correct @Theme Park Girl ?1 point

Not so sure AlexB. Scooby has a provision in the ride control to allow track crossing that won't allow the cars to advance if in crossing mode. If Arkham is programmed just to bring the train back into the station I would dare say staff aren't permitted to cross the dropped floor mid cycle. As for loose items, guess I just have a little trust left in the world that I don't think twice about leaving items behind. Hell in the US it's common practice just to leave your bag on the platform. I think it would just be a miserable existence to go around all day paranoid someone was gonna steal my stuff.1 point

What isn't? The only figures we have for this ride are from RCDB, which has shown incorrect figures for this precise issue in the past, and updated them once construction was complete.1 point

I'm pretty sure it's always been EFT only. Maybe the machines were down on the day you were there.1 point

the pick and mix wall looks great. Am I the only one that thinks a few retail stands plonked against the opposite wall is a bit of a miss? Like - would it have hurt, since this is a new \ first for the park for them to have had some built-in cabinetry for the hang-packs, rather than those mismatched and cheap stands?1 point

I was actually being sarcastic, I thought I worded it in a way that y'all would read it that way. Sorry!-1 points
