Just stopped by after work to grab some pic's of the new track peace that has been installed12 points

Couple more pictures of the pieces installed today, as well as some of the other components, and you can begin to how this will flow through from the S Bend. It will turn sharply from here, getting close to the ground Continue underneath the taller footings And then I believe heading towards this point Couple more angles of the new section today: Some of the pieces waiting to be installed: And you'll see that this is piece 81, to give an idea of how much will happen before and after this point This taller support was installed today also First break run pieces have been installed also: Overview from near GL Part of the fencing has been damaged also: And finally, I just love how tight the turns are on these pieces of tracks. Can't wait to see them installed10 points

Well here's my update, and some new things we hadn't noticed yet. Along with the completed turn around point, new supports are going up, which appear will twist under and then back of the track. Some supports further down are installed, as well as some down the narrow run (around the lift hill area) and near the brake run. Very tightly twisted track has arrived. More stair pieces have arrived. And there are also some very thick columns.2 points

Hmmm so after looking back at similar elements to Flash at Lewa Adventure i think MWs coaster is going to be more intense. If you look closely at the twisty section of Flash you can see that none of the track pieces that make up this element have a reinforced spine as opposed to the twisty section of MWs coaster. You can also say the same with the cork screw element1 point

@xRazzBerryx Unfortunately I didn't have my big lens on me, so I couldn't zoom in well on those curved pieces of track to see what the numbers are. Next time I check out progress and I have my camera on me, I'll check (Unless some one else beets me too it).1 point

Amazing pictures! Thanks so much Now the speculation begins on the next element. I'm hoping for either an airtime hill, or as it looks from the pieces in the car park, maybe this will be the location of the Zero G Roll (assuming those pieces are for a Zero G Roll).1 point

Best photo I have ever seen TPSN take. Gives a good view of the change in direction.1 point

I'm sure that's exactly what Mack was thinking when they were building this ride. Lets make it uncomfortable, rough & dangerous... Yeahhh no.1 point

Yeah that's a weird way to say that. If the case I would say that it's a privately commissioned piece and not available for public release.1 point

I think the term you're looking for is "unscheduled maintenance" π1 point

I tried emailing Movie World to find out what the scooby doo spooky coaster music is and this is what they said Thank you for contacting Warner Bros. Movie World. As our team have mentioned previously, regrettably we are unable to supply this information to you. Kind regards, Kez VRTP | | T: 13 33 86 | F: 07 5573 8288 Village Roadshow Theme Parks Pty Ltd you for contacting Warner Bros. Movie World. I could think of so many better ways to spend 2k... I mean I'd fly out to Universal Orlando with that money1 point

Looking at the skyline of the park and everyone saying it will be the height of batwing at 200ft. Now its hard to imagine 200ft lift hill out the front of the park. Batwing (200ft) as a comparison is further back from where the lift hill will be and therefore looks smaller. So I have done a quick Photoshop and doubled the height of Green lantern (108 ft) give or take a few ft and doubled it in height to show where the lift hill height will roughly be.1 point

Took a couple of quickies driving past yesterday of the Topgolf site... nothing really exciting to report, although they are making the giant wall blue:1 point

Is this really all because we've come to demand too much from our parks though? I mean we're paying bugger all for annual passes as it is, and on top of these stupidly cheap prices we then want in park discounts and yet still want to "enable the parks to be profitable as well as to invest in good levels of maintenance, staffing, new attractions etc." Do you want cheap food or cheap passes? You really shouldn't be expecting both. I'm all for upping the pass price and dropping the food price.1 point

I'm surprised no one reports the water slide maintenance periods.1 point

As someone who has watched the series, that costume is never warn. That's photoshopped1 point

I worked in selling all 3 memberships right from when they were introduced and you 100% do get in-park discounts.1 point

RCDB rounds to 1 decimal place - i've never seen a metric conversion to feet listed at more than a single decimal. This is definitely photoshopped, most likely by the original poster.1 point

FWIW the times I've visited DW after the incident none of the staff seemed as overly friendly as what everyone else has been describing. (That is to say they've been customer service friendly but it hasn't felt like it was above and beyond). I've been to MW and PC more recently and remember them being as friendly as you'd expect anyone who works in customer service to be. Didn't bother me in the slightest though. Not saying this is bad for either/any park, I've worked in customer facing roles for 12+ years, and I know it's not possible to be friendly 100% of the time without some serious drugs.1 point

Well, that's not the case. Becuase it is not the 29th of May yet, which is when the maintenance is supposed to be. Meaning... it is closed.0 points

WOW! Just visited the RCDB website about 20 minutes ago (internet crashed so took me a while to post this) but apparently this coaster is going to be a fair way over the 200ft mark! Upon having another look - this has since been changed back to the original height. Wonder what that was?-1 points
