Actually, if you look at the the track profile, most of the sharp turns are placed at the high points in the ride (so far), so the coaster will actually lose a lot of speed at the top of the loop, at the top of the Stengel Dive, and just before the turnaround which will reduce the lateral G forces on those twists to what you would experience on Jet Rescue at Sea World. So far, the High-Speed turns (like the S-Bend) are profiled to have heart-line offset banking. So, the G-forces look more forceful than your experience of them, because the coaster 'turns' on the z-axis at your chest height, not at the track height. The forces are more like Slalom Skiing than a chair tipping over. (That's probably a crap analogy, but it's the best I can think of). It also is hugging the ground a lot, so it will feel faster than it is. Force wise (based only on the build so far), I believe if Superman Escape and Jet Rescue had a baby, this coaster would be it.5 points

My thoughts? You've just joined. you've made 5 posts and created three new threads, garnering -34 reputation (average of 8.5 downvotes per post so far), and the first two threads you created have been locked as there is already a topic on the boards. This topic is already on the boards too, so most likely it will be locked shortly as well. I also think you should consider investing in some full stops and an enter button so that you can space things out a little better, and write in cogent sentences that people can read without stabbing their eyeballs out. Like my advice to @Theme Park in another thread, my advice would be to ease back, sit back and watch a little. Feel free to ask some questions about things if you don't know them, and if you come across absolutely breaking news feel free to post it - but if you happen to come across something that's just opened, or is about to - go back and check when it was announced - chances are we've already discussed it in depth. (in some cases, we discuss things to death BEFORE it's announced too!)5 points

Its all a moot point anyway. Even if they DID have a license to use Harry Potter for a ride, the demands JK Rowling has for detail would price any such attraction way beyond what Movie World could afford.3 points

Here are some of those supports I was on about. Supports for the air time hill, crazy section, the non-inverting loop (including the massive one outside he fence) and also the first lift hill footing. More track installed Plenty of supports around the area Appears to be some supports near lift hill area You can also see the support for the top Stengel dive too And just an overview of the whole area3 points

To be completely honest, and I'm really not bothered whether people agree with me or not; but I feel this ride is going to be a little too forceful and extreme for me. The constant turning screams "grey out" π I really really enjoy rides with loads of airtime moments, twist and turns but this looks 10x more than what I consider fun, at this point I'd prefer flashs layout which is the perfect hypercoaster imo. This ride still has potential to win me over if they finally start adding more direct ejector moments rather than the state it's currently in (a spaghetti mess) but that's been looking slim. - for those will likely downvote me, not everyone has to love this ride 100% - I'll still ride it of course but I agree with the above ^^ I'll probably give riding this 20 times in a row a miss.. π¬2 points

I love how every time some tiny bit of WW stuff comes to the park everyone jumps to the conclusion that the coaster will be themed to WW. Here's the thing. There's a WW movie coming out in like one week, of course the park would be doing WW-y things I'm really getting sick of people jumping to conclusions like this. It won't be WW-themed, I'd say it's probably a good 3% chance that it is honestly. Can we just stop this Wonder Woman speculation.2 points

This time each day Catwoman usually gets into a skirmish on Main Street. But there's been a bit of a change to the show!2 points

Yep - old uncle Walt sold options on many in-park properties to corporations in the early years. Practically everything that could be sold \ sponsored out was - although they very quickly reigned that in and bought all the shares back. Something that has always made me wonder though - Wonderland had most of it's attractions 'presented' or 'sponsored' by major corporate partners - coke, ampol, Navy, Channel 7 etc. I've always wondered why more of the attractions on the gold coast don't have similar partnerships. it'd add additional funds into the revenue stream \ cover ride costs enabling the park to devote more of their general revenue to new attractions \ developments.2 points

Just discovered the performance platform at the front of Main Street in Movie World has been fenced off. Might be nothing major but interesting still. Also following the external refurbishment of the Warner Bros. Department Store, various other buildings along Main Street are getting facade refurbishments. No major changes that I've seen yet. Just refresh and maintenance.1 point

Ooo I see some fresh dirt piles there! A bit trivial, but I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of landscaping they do once the ride is complete. A bit of vegetation could make that strip of land quite attractive.1 point

That's okay with me. This ride is certainly going to make me a tad queasy too. It will likely take some time before I ride this back-to-back. This said, I can't wait until I've conditioned myself for multiple re-rides. Perhaps I'll never get used to it, and only be able to ride it twice a day. I'm okay with that too.1 point

OFF TOPIC: No I don't mate. Because everything you comment on you do so with out any semblance of perspective or practicality. ON TOPIC: Given the only parts there are to wear on the cars in Scooby are all replaced regularly I don't think its that. Most of the Jarring I feel comes from the braking not the drops. The hidden drop would be so much better with eddy current braking and a nice smooth stop. I also miss it being completely hidden by the original green laser.1 point

I'd like to think they're smarter than that. This is just getting pathetic now.1 point

2 pages on and what does all this have to do with Scooby-Doo refurb? Ugh cmon ppl back on topic!! I rode SDSC last week and I must say I am really not enjoying those last two dips on the ride. Yes, I am getting on in the years but generally I don't have a problem with the ride's comfort. Is it just me or would others agree this part of the track could probably do with some tlc?1 point

If it's really so pointless looking in the park, why am I seeing this planted smack bang in the middle of Wild West Falls?1 point

We can't look at everything in the park that's new or close to the track colour, there's too much coincidence. I saw on Monday: - Supergirl cape; - Tweety; -DC Bombshells; - Yes, Wonder Woman; even - Jimmy Hendrix. Its pointless looking in the park at the moment.1 point

@pushbutton have you ever considered moving to Florida, so you stop complaining that your local parks aren't building $200m attractions?1 point

So there could be a saw scare maze for fright nights. Why would you need a disclaimer for a store that no longer exists.1 point

I don't know if it was the intention with the purple and green tracks, but the whole way through i was waiting for them to split and go in different directions! That would be an awesome illusion to do half way through - have them split left and right, and have the coaster keep going straight.1 point

Discovery Kingdom for me. Superman Ultimate Flight, Medusa and Joker put it ahead of Great America. Gazza has a good reason to return for Joker. The first couple of drops are great and the ride doesn't really let up until the brake run.1 point

Six Flags Six Flags Six Flags Six Flags Six Flags Six Flags Six Flags Six Flags Six Flags Six Flags It just has much better rides overall. Great America really only has Flight Deck and Gold Striker of note (And they recently put floorless trains on their old stand up coaster and renamed it Patriot. But then Six Flags has a much bigger and better Floorless Coaster, a couple of solid secondary coasters in V2 and Superman, plus they did an RMC conversion on Roar and turned it into Joker (I'd return for that alone to be honest) The park is nicer overall, especially with the animal exhibits. Seattle has Wild Waves https://www.google.com.au/maps/place/Wild+Waves+Theme+%26+Water+Park/@47.27506,-122.3105275,331m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x549057d453f25869:0x1acef3554b163e2!8m2!3d47.2744295!4d-122.3110664 which looks "okay"..Just has a Wooden Coaster and one identical to Sea Viper. I've never been. Vancouver has Playland, which I have been to, but I didn't take any pics or add it do the Database! It's also alright, has a really well maintained classic Woodie called "Coaster", and a ride called "Corkscrew" which appeared in Final Destination, plus a bunch of flats like a starflyer etc. I think I only visited for an hour or two.1 point

Care to share Skeet? Gee I really hope that stupid "tell and die" clause follows Mr Fisher out the door and kicks him up the arse on the way out! When John Menzies was the big cheese he would proudly share the future with Employees during monthly functions. We were never told to keep quiet on it and when you consider up the road already know exactly what is going on long before it's made public (and vice/versa) honestly, why does this continue to be such a big deal?1 point

I wonder if... Sea World... will get a new ride? Do you think it'd be worth moving it for what you gain?1 point

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Sunday 5th November will be final day of the SDSC. Boxing Day 2017 will see a 'new' themed attraction open1 point

They do not have the rights, this is a trademark disclaimer from when the Harry Potter Shop was in Movie World basically telling people the exact opposite - that they do not own Harry Potter, and any reference to it is owned by Warner Bros and JK Rowling.0 points

You're aware that that there's movies made about alien's invading earth, purpley/blue people that live in trees riding dragonesk creatures, humans wearing trench coats that can dodge bullets, the Death Star is sitting just outside our galaxy and Debbie does Dallas right? I gotcha, movies depict real life situations. Carry on. 10 points-1 points

I think scdsc is not getting rethemed becuse how popular it is and how kids and older agers love by the way one day thay had the lights on I can the scooby doo robot on the floor next to that 1st steap drop justsitting there in the disco room! And when it gets a fixing update on it thay will I think put 50% themeing back and the other 50% is still being done till december on boxing day when the ride will be packed!-1 points

I must admit that's what I thought when I saw it this morning. I will probably give it a try when it opens, but I doubt it'll be a regular one for me. Doesn't look much fun.-1 points

It's that level of detail that make such attractions so awesome, and that in turn adds to the value of the parks they're located in. Grand vision can create amazing futures. Imagine if Walt Disney was limited by what he could afford!-2 points
