At the park right now. Here ya go guys. Bit more progress on the loop. And more parts have arrived on site 👍15 points

My apologies I meant to say non-inverting loop. Sorry I'm not as perfect as you with everything in life.9 points

I'm going to build my own theme park, with Blackjack and hookers, in fact, forget the theme park5 points

About the only relevance to the real ride is the audio. Not to be harsh but that reacreation is nothing like it. Not even in layout.4 points

I have Planet Coaster, thats probably the closet i will ever be to be involved in a theme park production.3 points

So AW just announced it's new thrill ride on Facebook, The Wasp. Most likely the pendulum ride? Opens 24th June at their Ride the Night event.3 points

More pictures of the hypercoaster construction where more work is being done on the inverted loop and with more tracks added it's beginning to take shape. Also, a little bit of work around the lift hill.3 points

In my view, it is better than any of the above. That is just my view though. that looks familiar. From a drawing anyway. The theming concept was fantastic. Hats off to Atomiq ( again)2 points

Somebody hand over the company to this man! Knows exactly what DW needs.2 points

We build a restaurant or a retail store next to a theme park, and we have a Downtown Disney/Universal City Walk We build a hotel near a theme park, we are now Anaheim We've got the tigers, we just need to get Olivia Newton John to sign up to do a nightly sing-along at the DW Theatre and we'll be Vegas too! The best of the world is on our doorstep!2 points

This is topical with DC Rivals HyperCoaster around the corner, but just wondering, what coasters have people been on that go backwards for some or all of the ride? What used it most effectively? (For simplicity, let's not include spinning coasters) Here in Aus: Demon Tower of Terror / 2 Scooby Doo Buzzsaw Elsewhere: Revenge of the Mummies (All) Various Boomerangs Stinger Invertigo Escape from Krypton Montezumas Revenge Deja Vu / Goliath X2 V2 Vertical Velocity Expedition Everest Firechaser Express Wicked Twister Mr Freeze / Reverse Blast Batman the Ride (SFFT) Green Lantern (SFMM) Superman (SFDK) Tempesto Full Throttle Canopy Flyer I think out of that entire list Canopy Flyer is the only one that you can ride backwards the whole way Firechaser probably has the best backwards part since the set up for it is done so well thematically, with honourable mention to Hollywoods Revenge of the Mummy. And who could forget Scooby1 point

whatever ride it is, I did also say it had a unique feature that will enhance the rider experience. That is quite a big part of this attractions point of differentiation. I can't wait to ride it.1 point

Prior to october wasn't there already whisperings of something going on with Eureka, and of course the endless pics of the car being moved on the tracks etc. Is it possible that the plans were somewhat underway, with the accident causing things to be put on hold for a period?1 point

There'd be no theme parks if they did. That's for sure. I remember learning in the first few years of primary school what an accident was. Seems some people either didn't get that lesson or weren't paying attention!1 point

There's been no mention since September last year. I would think that it was settled for a sum of money and kept quiet. As ridiculous and crazy as the claim is, legally Movie World would have been responsible. It's a crazy world we live in. Thankfully most members of the public just move on with life after something like this occurs without taking legal action...1 point

Love how Coke Zero is no more. It's been replaced with with Coke No Sugar. .. because so many people couldn't work out what Zero meant...1 point

Interview with one of the major investors who wants a position on the board. (Mr Seymour, who holds just under 4 per cent of Ardent, said he did not wish to be critical of Ardent’s response to the accident, a tragedy he said, “I would not wish on any company.” He said his criticism was more focused on the company’s failure to listen to investors like Ariadne who were experienced in building businesses. He said Ms Thomas’ sudden departure was “mystifying” as she was supposed to stay and help grow the Australian operations. Mr Seymour, who serves as Ariadne deputy chairman, said there had been significant underinvestment in Dreamworld in the past few years. “Dreamworld is an iconic Queensland business that creates jobs for Queenslanders,” Mr Seymour said. “But if you look at theme parks around the world like Disney, the owners constantly reinvest in the business) Now I don't know what to think of Mr Seymour push to get on the board. Do these two shareholders want to rebuild DW or are they in it to make a quick profit and run?1 point

Drove past just after 7 this morning and we now have a new highest point on the coaster construction with the next piece of the NIL being secured in place1 point

Fuze has 3.0g/100ml of sugar compared with 8.3g/100ml for Coke. Source of that is the McDonald's website as all post mix would be the same.1 point

Ironically, @pushbutton, your version of SW would have more rides than the current one. If someone recreates DW, they could use the Disneyland CD for the soundtrack of Main Street. 😜1 point

I thought that to but Mark has said it is being signed by a contractor in Europe, Fun Time (star flyers) are made in Australia so there is still Mondial or Zamperla. Zamperla's model only cost a few mill. (so to cheap) and the Mondial Windseeker Mark has said in the past cost more than the 7.5 million dollar price tag. So I wonder what it could be. Also Creative Works have posted this image on their Facebook page.1 point

I think the trick is to go the Aussie World approach, open a pub on a major highway which backs onto a bunch of acres and let the pokie money fund the whole thing. Also FWIW I wouldn't let the average internet forum poster anywhere near a decision making position in a park I ran. Given that somewhat ruins the game, I'm out1 point

Please don't take this the wrong way, but this is the sort of thing that comes to my mind when it comes to low budget "theme parks" (just for fun)! On a serious note though, it is things like public liability insurance (a massive ongoing cost) and other regulatory requirements (such as Workcover) that make a project such as this almost impossible for anyone other than a major international corporation, or an eccentric multibillionaire.1 point

Do you think these might be clues to the coaster theme?!?1 point

The lack of an existing building to construct inside of, or plans to construct same, as well as the short distance between station and lift hill, and the POV imagery already shown in promotional videos suggests - Zero.1 point
-
You could do that but then there isn't any reason to complain about the choices available at the parks.1 point

Just a quick update, Rivals is already as tall as Green Lantern. This will be an absolute monster. Can't wait to see the lift hill topped off. I've thrown in the best photos below, if you want some silly captions and less amazing shots you can go here.1 point

At least at Dreamworld you can still do things you can't do in Main Street anymore...1 point

I've compiled a factual and accurate video about Eureka Mountain, it's history, layout and theming. If anyone would like to check it out you can see it here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIM2wZD_bBI1 point

I tried to send Alex a private message, I couldn't Here it is Hey Alex. I can respect your opinions, I know that you want to uphold Parkz's reputation amongst the theme parks. I get you are angry at me, and I really do know why. I've been asked to not return to Dreamworld, for an unknown length of time. I've been in contact with guest services a few times, and have sent an apology. I don't appreciate the hate you've shown to me, and other user's of Parkz. Despite what I have done wrong, calling anyone on here morons, or arguing over silly things isn't very nice either. Parkz is meant to be a forum to discuss the thing we love most, parks! Some people (myself included), do go over the top for their enthusiasm. It's all in good spirits and isn't meant to knock anyone else. I'm writing to ask you to be nicer, not just towards me but to others. I hope you take this not as an insult, or as me trying to argue with you, or justify what I did, but more to ask you for some respect. If you would like to discuss with me further I'll give you my skype name/phone number and I'll talk to you face to face. Cheers, Andrew1 point

I spent many weeks painstakingly recreating Sea World when it was complete with Bermuda Triangle, chairlifts, better monorail experience, pirate show, full waterpark, and miniature railway. I did this using Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 (with all the add-ons) back in 2007, and it's still great fun playing with it now! My recreation isn't 100% accurate layout, but it was the best I could do at the time and with this software, and it's not too far off. It even includes a reasonable Sea World resort too. I found audio on Youtube from the monorail, dolphin show, Bermuda Triangle, and pirate show. The audio plays in the relevant parts of the park. This is the part that took by far the longest to make. Worth it though!-1 points

I'll be suitably impressed when I see your improved version.-1 points
