It's not in the Water Park. Stage 1 includes a Water Park and an open field that are near to each other. The Water Park is a small part of what Actventure Park is. The soccer field as you call it(Green Area) is a multipurpose area for things like sports and concerts. A lot of the buildings will be rented out. This one is for @pushbutton5 points

Went out there earlier today, airtime hill is coming together nicely. Also, as you'll see, the mystery of the missing beam has now been solved and what's in place has got a little chunk taken out of it. If you want to see more VSCO-ish artsy shots of construction, you know where to go.4 points

You have forgotten the 2 reverse cowgirl seats. Here's a photo I stole. I love how low this gets to the ground. I stole this photo too. What can I say. I stole them all.4 points

That floating table would be a great place to put your kids why you go ride some slides. "Kids I will be back in an hour or 2. Don't go anywhere".2 points

Getting there. Just need a front on photo of those bronze sections on the side to finish it off. Might be a while (October) before I'm back at MW unless there's another special event.2 points

I think I did like 100+ rides on Superman: Escape on opening weekend. Back when they had 4 loaders, 2 unloaders, 2x entry hosts and a sorter... Most of the opening crew staff knew me by name... ah how it was to be 152 points

Slow and steady wins the race. Really not much more to report today, but here's a little progress.2 points

Nice to see them doing videos on animal and waterpark safety on top of the typical ride safety video.2 points

So let me get this straight, because you can't afford to pay you get no penalty? How about all that companies assets are siezed, along with the personal ones of the directors and they are banned from ever being involved in the amusement industry ever again.2 points

Really reminds me of Universal Orlando's Citywalk with the lake and shops around it. Let's hope it turns into something decent (or just turns into something...).1 point

Yay, something legit for a change though that seems like it's not a land grab.1 point

Construction of the actual coaster should be finished in approx 3-5 weeks! We're getting closer and closer to opening. I'm very impressed with the steepness of the drop and the first airtime bump, it's going to take the wind outta everyone!1 point

AusFun is TPA shows. Same unit as well, several years ago there was a trucking accident involving the Crazy Coaster. As far as i'm aware a few parts needed to be replaced but not 100% certain. After this the whole unit was repainted, but we only have the one unit in Australia1 point

Agreed. I've been saying it since I arrived from London 7.5 yrs ago.1 point

Dropped in this morning for a sneaky few hours. (here for work) The place was packed! Think it might be school holidays up here? 2 hour waits on BSG and Transformers, 1 Hour waits for most other things. Managed to do Mummy, Canopy Flyer, Puss in Boots and Madagascar Crate Ride (lol) Also watched Lights, Camera, Action. Staff were brilliant as always, Food in the American diner was decent. Spent $150 on minion shit in the shop to take home for the kids and left. Better than being in the office back in Australia !1 point

Having visited the park last Sunday, it's a shame to see the work that was done on the classic HUSS RANGER has in no way given the ride any sort of longevity. Apparently extensive work had to be done on the restraints, which has happened, but in doing that the two middle rows of the boat have had all of their restraints removed. When guests went to sit in those seats, the terribly slow and unqualified ride operator replied with "don't sit there, theyre broken" The ride was meant to go to a showman here in Australia, but LPS messed them around which is a shame. Would love to see it back on the showgrounds, at least it would get the proper care needed.1 point

In all honesty, I'm not entirely against the idea of Sea World doing a fountain in the main lake. Since they axed the ski show and tried replacing it several times with various things, nothing has really captured the original 'must see this if you go' mentality that the ski show had - it was iconic, much like Police Academy was for Movie World. Now, to be honest, bringing back the ski show (or police academy for that matter) now would be a mistake - the world has moved on, and those sorts of shows are no longer enough to captivate the audience. Instead, i'd love to see Sea World install a bellagio \ World of Colour style attraction in the lake. For me, Bellagio was a great attraction whilst walking down the boulevard in LV, and WoC was a spectacular night show. During the day, you can have it run regularly, and it would be the relaxing front of the park for people to enjoy, and relax. You could still use the lake for jet skis and such provided certain precautions were taken, or potentially the way Disney does with WoC and have elevating platforms. It'd also be a great photo spot for holidaymakers (and weddings \ functions) but it would also give Sea World something to close later in the day, a final show before everyone goes home that draws people to the front of the park. I'm pretty sure we have discussed this concept before, and I think one of the bigger problems with it was the salt water in the lake - but I can't imagine it would be that big of an issue to resolve. Of course, this isn't me saying do a fountain instead of a coaster \ flat ride \ etc, but i'd like to see them do something awesome with the lake that didn't rely on corny slapstick humour, or a bunch of guys revving their jetskis up and down the lake for 10 minutes twice a day.1 point

Hi all just to add a small update on happenings at Luna Park Sydney. Due to the sensitive location of the park and the strict heritage requirements surrounding it, the planning process for the new investment is quite lengthy and time consuming. That being said, the first new ride, a Wave Swinger, is scheduled to open in March next year. It is currently being built in Europe ( most probably by Zamperla) and will be a 64 seat version ( including 8 double seats) It will have the highest capacity of any Wave Swinger in Australia. Its colour scheme and theming is being designed to match the new building theme's throughout the park and it will help establish and enhance the classic LPS feel and aesthetic. I am not certain, but the obvious spot for the new ride would be on the Flying saucer site, to match this section's new look when it is completed: In other news, the Moon Ranger has roared back into life and has reopened, Its not certain if the ride is till on the open market ( I think this would still be the case) but it is certainly one of the rides earmarked for replacement with the new investment. Works should start on the new theming and buildings by the end of the year.1 point

World Expo Fun park ran a competition on how many rides you could ride in a night. I thought I was smart and because the park was quiet, I asked the ride attendant if I could stay on the Supernova. I only had to line up a few times the whole night. Before every dispatch the ride attendant would stamp my card. At the end of the night I ran to guest services so sure I would win a prize, I think I even broke into a half-skip. The person asked me what rides I rode. I told him the Supernova and I think I had a big grin across my face. He asked me and what else. When I proceeded to tell him, I had ridden the coaster over 50 times he laughed at me. This is when he pointed out, I was meant to ride every ride in the park once to get a prize.1 point

I'm guessing they connect the catwalk to the lift hill track - there's quite a few of them and the brackets are angled at ~45°. Looks about the right width too.1 point
