  2. Hi all, Well the family and some friends of mine are finally making the trip stateside and we will be visiting Orlando and all its attractions. Our itinerary is as follows: 6-Sep Wed Arrive Orlando 7-Sep Thur Disney World Animal Kingdom 8-Sep Fri Disney World Hollywood Studios 9-Sep Sat Disney World Blizzard Park 10-Sep Sun Kennedy Space Centre 11-Sep Mon Legoland 12-Sep Tue Disney World Typhoon Lagoon 13-Sep Wed Disney World Epcot 14-Sep Thu Disney World Magic Kingdom 15-Sep Fri Gator / Swamp tour 16-Sep Sat Change accommodation 17-Sep Sun Universal Island of Adventure 18-Sep Mon Seaworld Busch Gardens 19-Sep Tue Universal Studios 20-Sep Wed Seaworld 21-Sep Thu Universal Volcano 22-Sep Fri Free 23-Sep Sat Travel to Hawaii As you can see we are packing as much as we can in the time allotted. The days we have chosen are based on these 2 crowd calendars:Taken from these two crowd calendars https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/crowd-calendar and https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/crowd-calendar/September-2017/ so as to maximise the best possible time. 11 theme parks in about 13 days is a lot to pack in but we are going to make the most of it.All of our tickets are prepaid and we have Fast passes organised for the Disney parks but nothing for the others as yet. I am just looking to draw on other more experienced members to get some ideas, tips and pointers for any of the parks listed or anything Orlando related. We are very much looking forward to the trip ( my kids are beside themselves!! ) but I think Hawaii for a week at the end will also be a welcome relief as well!! So please any thoughts or comments or helpful hints will be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

  4. The final elements in place on DC Rivals HyperCoaster With only a few months before DC Rivals HyperCoaster opens, construction crews have capped off the last few ride elements with only the colossal lift hill remaining to be installed. Click here to continue reading

  6. The project is now officially dead. They have failed to met deadlines and council has cancelled the contract and pocketed the deposit. https://www.2gofm.com.au/news/central-coast/chappy-pie-china-time?geoRedirect=true

  8. I think your date choice os ideal @Jobe For one reason or another us Aussies love to venture to the US in September, however in my years of experience in Travel I can advise that whilst crowds at the Parks will be lower on international/interstateTourist numbers, annual passes are completely unblocked (not so much of an issue in Orlando mind you), weekends tend to be loads busier, off season trading hours apply so reduced Monday-Friday and certain major attractions may be closed. (Annual Maintenance or being overlayed for Halloween in October). May I ask where in Orlando are you staying and are you renting a car or do you plan to take courtesy transport to Parks etc? Just in my experience, WDW make it rather difficult for People staying on their properties to enjoy Orlando's other attractions. All aside the best advice I can offer is arrive early every day and if you like a drink, try not to go too hard in the evenings.. save that for Hawaii😆 All aside sounds like a tonne of fun @Jobe! You are certainly going to be grateful for that week in Paradise at the end!

  9. I've had it confirmed off site that the train hold up did infact occur down near the Bush Ranger show area. I do agree, I think the spot from Rocky Hollow to Main Street would be a perfect spot for a bit of a show, it doesn't have to be a full on show, just some actors that hold the train up, provide a bit of a show and as said provide a unique experience. All would be very cheap to implement, but as we can tell from the old days where such a show would occur if done right would create a lifetime of memories.

  10. Sounds like a great trip, @Jobe. Definitely pick up a copy to the Unofficial Guide to DIsneyworld if you haven't already got one. I also follow themepark bloggers who often visit Florida, like That Sounds Fun and Spoonfullofsugar. All the best - I hope you get to stay on site.

  11. From memory it was obscured from view prior to the TRR incident, they just fenced the area off from view with a wooden fence.

  12. The area of bushland passed the Blue Lagoon and before the Amphitheatre would be an ideal spot for a brand new 'Ned Kelly Heist' - a set could also be easily built to bring back a 'Bush Ranger Show' that could take place around the same spot. It's a really dull part of the journey as it currently stands with the Staff member rattling on about attractions in the Park that everyone knows about while the train covers a lot of mothballed attractions. If they brought back the Baldwin for weekends and Holidays then make the whole thing an experience with an all new exciting Show that is uniquely DW and one that People will definitely be drawn to.

  13. Surprised to hear that some are disappointed with this. A swing like this isn't a spin and spew, they are floater airtime machines. The Claw is the best flat ride I've ever ridden.

  14. Literally out of nowhere the Planet Coaster theme started to play when I was walking to Castaway Bay at Sea World like five minutes ago I couldn't help the massive grin that appeared on my face when the tune was playing

  15. Look at the supports that have been installed. Smaller crane moving supports around, but no major work on the track. And GL seems to operate when the crane isn't in use

  16. Sorry missed this one until now @AlexB. Yeah if you have already purchased t-shirts from us in the past then where possible we'll send something different. If there's nothing different available we'll get in touch and let you know your options.

  17. And when you try to tell them you aren't interested they come back with... "But everyone is getting their photo taken"... And then at the end of the day they have the rope placed so you have to curve back towards the area where they try and get you to buy a photo and look puzzled when you say "I chose not to have my photo taken"... One of the worst ideas the park has had in recent memory...
