  2. There will be a trim brake (probably magnetic) to bring the speed down, followed by a block brake (mechanical) which is capable of actually stopping the train. Once a train enters this block brake, the chain lift will be declared empty and allow for the train in station to depart. Once the station train has departed, it marks the station block as empty and the block brakes release the train to roll around into the station. The station is now occupied, the chain lift is occupied but the block brake is empty. Only in these conditions will the chain lift take the train entirely to the top and allow it to crest the hill. Once this train reaches that block brake again, the chain lift is then declared empty again and the cycle goes on...

  4. The final elements in place on DC Rivals HyperCoaster With only a few months before DC Rivals HyperCoaster opens, construction crews have capped off the last few ride elements with only the colossal lift hill remaining to be installed. Click here to continue reading

  5. Until we see a spec sheet nobody will know for sure which is steeper, but by my eye it's the DC Rivals. The angle you usually see the superman from can make the drop look steeper than it actually is.

  8. Here's my pointless update for this weekend. (Honestly though, the coverage this week has been amazing and extensive!) However, not everything has been covered! Which means there is actually something to mention Grouting of the supports has started around the Incline Dive Loop and the work on the Non-Inverted Loop seems to be torquing - definitely sounds like it. As I was in somewhat of a rush, here are my moving-car shots for the weekend of the 22nd and 23rd of July. Comparison Shot 1 Okay so I lied, the car was stationary for the taking of this picture. Not Comparison Shot 1 Driving alongside all of this is going to be awesome. Imagine racing the train along the bunny hills. you can do it in roughly two months. (Hopefully, all the construction fences are gone once testing starts) The incline on the lift hill is going to be terrifying... for most guests. Warner Bros. Movie World wins the Australian Parkz Skyline Award Construction Fence wins Parkz Most Hated Photographic Obstruction 'Award' There are only three main lift hill supports. and two of them are *partially* complete. The lift hill track reaches the height requirement for almost every kids ride on the Gold Coast.

  9. Hi all, Well the family and some friends of mine are finally making the trip stateside and we will be visiting Orlando and all its attractions. Our itinerary is as follows: 6-Sep Wed Arrive Orlando 7-Sep Thur Disney World Animal Kingdom 8-Sep Fri Disney World Hollywood Studios 9-Sep Sat Disney World Blizzard Park 10-Sep Sun Kennedy Space Centre 11-Sep Mon Legoland 12-Sep Tue Disney World Typhoon Lagoon 13-Sep Wed Disney World Epcot 14-Sep Thu Disney World Magic Kingdom 15-Sep Fri Gator / Swamp tour 16-Sep Sat Change accommodation 17-Sep Sun Universal Island of Adventure 18-Sep Mon Seaworld Busch Gardens 19-Sep Tue Universal Studios 20-Sep Wed Seaworld 21-Sep Thu Universal Volcano 22-Sep Fri Free 23-Sep Sat Travel to Hawaii As you can see we are packing as much as we can in the time allotted. The days we have chosen are based on these 2 crowd calendars:Taken from these two crowd calendars https://touringplans.com/walt-disney-world/crowd-calendar and https://www.undercovertourist.com/orlando/crowd-calendar/September-2017/ so as to maximise the best possible time. 11 theme parks in about 13 days is a lot to pack in but we are going to make the most of it.All of our tickets are prepaid and we have Fast passes organised for the Disney parks but nothing for the others as yet. I am just looking to draw on other more experienced members to get some ideas, tips and pointers for any of the parks listed or anything Orlando related. We are very much looking forward to the trip ( my kids are beside themselves!! ) but I think Hawaii for a week at the end will also be a welcome relief as well!! So please any thoughts or comments or helpful hints will be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!!

  11. Thank you for bringing this to my attention, I do like this quite a lot, it reminds me of the TV show Black Mirror. Of course it's actually just an artistic copy of the Euthanasia coaster, and speaking from a coaster fanatics perspective the ride he's riding is nothing at all like the aforementioned, but still I enjoyed the video (but then again I do enjoy pretentious bullshit.)

  14. Doubt 2 trains will ever be running through the course at once since there is no MCBR. So most likely one loads while one is in the course.

  15. The fact that they're knackered aside, wouldn't it be funny if they ended up going to different parks.

  16. The project is now officially dead. They have failed to met deadlines and council has cancelled the contract and pocketed the deposit. https://www.2gofm.com.au/news/central-coast/chappy-pie-china-time?geoRedirect=true
