Is it higher than Tower of Terror? Is it Faster? Is it steeper than Superman?? I think it's safe to say it's friken high, it's damn fast and it's bloody steep. And that's good enough for me!!

You can be thankful for having rides and critical of poorly executed ones. Life doesn't work on the basis that you have to like everything you have...

My favourite element of this new coaster is right near the end of the first drop, where you crash into the Hyundai Excel

To be honest though, with Europe being fairly easy and cheap to get around and not too big, it's basically irrelevant if one country is lacking rides since there are lots of other choices... In Australia, most states are bigger than a European country, and most don't have good rides, so having to travel is a fact of life.

The gerstlauer website states 4 inversions. No mention of cobra roll or inline loop

A bit annoyed right now. According to AW website, the Abyss features 4 inversions (over banked turn is NOT an inversion) including a zero g roll, inline loop? and a cobra roll. I don't know who's doing their website right now, but they are clickbaiting the gp. In factuality Abyss has an inline twist, Immelmann and dive loop.

I'm just disappointed they chose to build the smallest hyper coaster in the southern hemisphere

Bottom line here i think is that there's no right or wrong answer here. there's no rule to follow. if you feel the need to express condolence in flowers or similar, and that helps you deal with the situation, regardless of your connection, go for it. Not everyone will feel that way, and there's nothing wrong with that - if it doesn't make you want to drop flowers, it just hasn't struck your particular nerve in the same way. Everyone is different, everyone is unique in how they handle things, so drop flowers, mourn the loss of the childhood icon that was a favourite family pasttime. Remain stoic and aloof - again, there is no right or wrong response to this incident - with the possible exception of throwing a party \ celebration \ cheering that people died.
