You can bet Greg and the crew will be out there with their new and improved larger microphone to celebrate the crown going on DCR to finish it off.5 points

You mean like the ride being finished before the launch? There's a scoop!4 points

I get everyone has their favourites, but at the same time I don't really get the notion that unless a coaster is simultaneously pushing all your buttons it's a 'yawn' or it's a 'nothing'.3 points

Can we please not start pasting our own posts into multiple threads. Please and thank you.2 points

Alright, let's get this thread back on topic here. Firstly, g'day @YaBoySlam & welcome to Parkz. Please don't let other members put you off from posting or contributing. As other members have "alluded", B&M haven't reached Australia for a myriad of reasons, but that's not necessarily a bad thing - B&M aren't the necessarily the pinnacle of coaster design & manufacturing like they were in the 90's, in recent years both Intamin & Mack have made unprecedented strides in creating more competitive products than B&M, and I have a lot of confidence that the DC Rivals HyperCoaster will happily be exactly that. As for Dreamworld, i've written about what they could buy at length already. I'd personally love to see them upgrade the Giant Drop in the short term and do something major with a company like RMC in the long term. Not sure who they are? I've thrown a clip down below. It's competitive against Rivals at Movie World and can hold its own, these things just haul ass. As for the rest of you, we were all new here once, so show a little compassion instead of being a dick to new members, yeah? What this place should encourage is funny, intelligent and honest discussion about a hobby we all share, not elitism. So the next time someone asks something you might find silly, be a good sport and point them in the right direction. It's how we build a community of like-minded individuals.2 points

Other Mack coasters such as Helix @ Liseberg, Blue Fire @ Europa Park and Alpina Blitz @ Nigloland all have a 130cm height restriction. All those coasters feature the same train/seat/harness design as DC Rivals. 👍1 point

Happy to see the roofers off the vintage cars, and with all the vegetation around the track, it should hardly make any difference. And good to see they've finally put a proper fence up at that entrance for Tiger Island1 point

Nearmap update 25th August, not very exciting but here it is anyway. Can't really notice anything else of interest around the rest of the park either.1 point

As of just now I've seen that the vintage cars no longer have roofs! I'll send through a pic in a bit!1 point

Just quoting this for future reference - for when the next coaster is announced and all the cry-babies whinge about 'why are they putting in another coaster'1 point

Must be the time of the year to visit the USA given the number of people heading over this month.1 point

It's not a deal breaker since we can also add tags after the fact before approving. But it makes our lives easier if you do a DB submission simultaneously too.1 point

I was re-watching POVs tonight given today is the closure, and I reckon the blue dragon is an objectively good inverted coaster on a standalone basis...Big overbank at the start, a lot of speed through the zero g roll, the cobra roll right up against the castle wall 👌👌1 point

Mate, you would have said the same thing about a Mack Hyper a couple of years ago.1 point

I was hoping for something a bit more substantial than an 'interactive splash zone' for the former Seaworld waterpark. An extension of the Castaway Bay themed area would have been great to see, with an addition of a family friendly flat ride. A solid all ages flat ride is something Seaworld is sorely missing. Something along the lines of a Mack rides Sea Storm, Gerstlauer Polyp, or what about bring back a classic and install a HUSS Pirate Ship. Or perhaps an observation type ride, with a bit of a twist - e.g. the Vekoma Sky Shuttle.1 point

People with VIP Passes or the basic Membership always complain that they dont get free entry to these events. You get a lot at the gate trying to get into the events saying that they have a pass and they should be able to get free tickets. In the end it comes down to people not knowing what they are purchasing. They don't bother to read what is actually included in the pass they are buying. They just assume the all have a free night event ticket. I guess by offering a discounted ticket to VIP and basic Membership pass holders, it will get them off their backs.1 point

Closer look at some of theming, and the back of the train (Photos TPSN)1 point

They were running two trains in the testing this afternoon, and as soon as one reached the brake run, the next one would leave. I recorded many videos, which I've added below. But here are a few photo updates first. Look at it in action A path is being laid leading from the main road and down along side the coaster Landscaping is complete and the carpark is slowly returning EDIT: Here are a couple of those videos of the ride in testing1 point

God you guys can be fucking rude to new members. This forum has barely any activity because you're all bullies 😂😂1 point

God that slide is in desperate need of a paint job. If that's too expensive at the moment, they can just wait for Trump to visit the country and just rub him on the orange sections.1 point

Haha, not quite I was thinking more the installation of the joker head as part of a launch ceremony. Something like crowning it complete? Perhaps not though, also depends how quickly it can be installed & how quickly they can run it afterwards.0 points

Right before school holidays. I think the Joker Head has something to do with the launch0 points

Since we are discussing potential future rides for Seaworld in this thread...i'll just copy/paste this here.0 points

dw got passes for just $74 now but sorry were going to MW this year for RIVALS. maybe if you had a cool rollercoaster too we'd go there more.0 points

Didn't think about that with S&S, I think if seaworld wants to attract even more people they need a drop Tower or something but the can't because if the sea New seaworld.0 points

Given there's no other ride closure planned at this moment (based off the website), what if we're all wrong about the studios being unavailable?0 points

This park also has a long time so the game equipment inevitably damaged. Hope that Luna Park Sydney will repair and improve them soon. Thanks for sharing your experience. driving directions maps0 points
