Forgot to post these from yesterday I know you can’t really see what’s going on in the third picture but there was a mine cart sitting in there with the lift hill exposed TPG managed to get a good shot via the help with James from PCL of the lift hill and the mine cart in sight4 points

Ok well here goes, (long review warning) With the horrible weather Perth is having and the Show being on, the park was very quiet. So I managed to do everything with basically no waits. Abyss was walk on, Kraken looked empty as most other slides, The Go Kart's would have had a 10 minute wait and Goliath was only a wait for the cycle to finish. Goliath was defiantly the most popular ride today with everyone either watching it or ridding it. (you get pretty great views of Goliath and the park from inferno. (which is working ) Staff were very efficient at running the rides today with 2 trains running on Abyss (despite being walk on) and the staff are like always very friendly and making jokes. Goliath is an amazing flat ride! The Intamin Gyro Swing is my new favourite flat ride. (currently) It's good to have another dry ride because on a day like today it was to cold to do any water slides. Yet I spent most of the day there doing the dry ride product. To me its very re ridable (hence doing it 12 times) but if you get motion sickness like my good friend (@iwerks) its not very re ridable. I found Black Widow unbalanced (one person on the gondola) an unpleasant experience and made me feel sick. Just kept spinning over and over again. But with Goliath just the amount of airtime and high G force is incredible. Its a very intense and AWesome ride and the lap bars just add so much freedom. Goliath is like Abyss and AW's other rides with loads of shelves in each corner of the ride to store you loss items, shoes or bags.Go Pro's are allowed on the ride if in a chest mount. However it is a great addition to the park. Personally from the beginning I hated the location of the ride. But it really suits that spot nicely and is in the Bermuda Triangle of thrills. Having Black Widow, Rampage and Abyss surrounding this new ride. Which is why I am glad they put a nice area in with benches in the middle so you can sit and watch all these rides running at the same time. You can also tell how they learnt from the mistakes with Abyss and Kraken and tried to avoid making the same mistakes again. Instead of using the red hot flooring they have put nice anti slip poured limestone floors, fans in the queue race along with drinking fountains in the queue. Which will be great in a 40 degree summers day with an hour wait. (They have also added A/C to abyss queue also) The theming on this ride is just amazing! There are so many little details which just shows the extra thought that went into the ride design. Like the writing on the queue line roof to scratch marks on Rampage. (which got repainted in the off-season) I honestly have no idea what the sign says. The table area to view the Giant. @ABYSS to answer and earlier question that building has the mechanics to Goliath along with Power supply. Goliath's safety sign/cloth. Have no idea what these say either. But the fans will be great in the heat of summer. and the claw marks on Rampage. Overall its an amazing ride and does blend in very well at Adventure World and I look forward to seeing what MI-4 (hopefully still going ahead in 2019) and how well Goliath does in summer.4 points

God that theming is great definitely a better themed attraction than most other flat rides on the gold coast.2 points

As a single rider today with 2 trains running, it’s under 15 minute waits during the VIP preview access. ...3 rides in before general public let in. Including backwards and row 10. 😍2 points

Yeah, having lunch now having ridden Goliath. Also got to chat with Andrew Sharry and Ross. The ride and theming looks fantastic. The hang time was just incredible and it's a long way when you look down. The harness is excellent, giving you lots of freedom. The park is empty and the weather has cleared. And Inferno is running - 4 shots, 1 drop.2 points

With DC Rivals open, it's not likely that Movie World will make any big announcements or moves for a long time, which is understandable with what they have produced. This topic is to suggest little things Movie World can do to improve. Example, create a pathway from A to B. An example of what not to say, create a new area with all new rides and attractions. Here's my proposed plan, feel free to share yours. - Sail DC Rivals queue, just a few poles and some sails will do to create shade for the larger part of the queue, currently your fried waiting in a long queue. - Get rid of the queue for justice league, the queuing inside is cooler and is enough to compensate for the amount of riders even in heavy traffic. I don't see a need to have people queue outside for Justice League. Maybe even set up a DC Rivals Store. - Improve streets parade, just do it please, I have no interest in seeing looney tunes dance. The superheroes and super villains parade was great and I hope it returns for good! - Improve HWSD, I mean the show really needs a complete makeover, but we're talking minor, so changing the stunts and storyline could certainly help the show out for regular park guests who are not interested in HWSD anymore. - Improve Arcade, take out the outdated, old arcade games and add more recent and new arcade games. They have barely changed and the variety is very lacklustre. Their are also no good claw machines. - Shut down Scooby Doo until referb, all it's doing is making regular non-enthusiasts angry as they just believe that MW has removed the scenery and that's it. So close it until it is presentable, it's also influencing reviews of Movie World. - Change up the Shows- Once again, if you can change the shows for a superheroes/villains event, surely you can change/mix up the regular one's with new stories and character. *Hint - I want to see penguin. - More free roam characters- Superheroes/villains event did it right, always a couple of characters roaming, and they were all different instead of your vanilla batman and superman. I mean it's fine to have them seeing as they are the faces of Movie World, but chuck in some villains. *Not just the Joker. Also, it was good having the cop car as it was a good place to get a photo with a character with a cool background, instead of random people walking around. Makes photos feel more like ride photos where you are put into a setting. - More buffet options- Not everyone likes pizza, maybe mix it up, I mean pizza is the only option unless you fancy eating batman bread and chips. - Do a little bit extra with the Batwing- Smoke coming out of the bottom when you are about to take off, flashing lights when you take off. Just these little things enhance the ride experience. - More interaction- I don't think the DC wristbands are good at all, but if they want to make them more appealing, add some intractable games or whatever in the courtyard of Arkham asylum. Their is plenty of space, but make sure they are more interesting, maybe riddler puzzles. That's it for now, feel free to leave suggestions and tell me that this topic is stupid. Thanks1 point

I just noticed where the Batwing Spaceshot label is too. Yeah I've said before I really like the cartoon style maps they've had in the past. I think this one could be improved rather a lot by turning off the shadows and looking a bit more top down (which might be possible if it was made in a computer). Make the paths prominent and less 'real' and you might get a useable map.1 point

Wild West Falls looks nothing like Wild West Falls, LW is green, and you can't even see Superman Escape's iconic top hat. Now more than ever, with DC Rivals stretching out of the park perimeter, it would have made sense to go with a traditional interpretive park map that uses plenty of creative license and doesn't need to show rides to scale.1 point

Oh boy I can see the headlines now tourist gets lost in movie world for three days after getting confused trying to follow the park's new map.1 point

And nor should they. You can't charge $10 for people to ride it then let others go one for free just because no one paid.1 point

Went to previews today and got in 2 rides then went to Superman at 9:30 as the person I went with felt sick. Got to ride row 6 and row 10. I love row ten for the drop and the first half but the bunny hills feel better in the front. I think that the front is my favourite.1 point

I'm heading down next weekend for my early access and first ever ride. Paying the extra couple of bucks each month for things like this makes it totally worth it and I hope VTP's continue with these kind of incentives for the more premium memberships.1 point

Themeing and landscaping does look impressive. I hope work continues plussing the older areas of the Park to balance the overall look. The ride looks fun and the restraint system is really the current staple of any decent thrill ride. May I ask how tight the restraint system is? The Claw is probably the most prohibitive ride on the GC for Adult riders outside average size.. not just overweight people either.. big thighs, broad shoulders, big back or just being tall make riding Claw prohibitive for many.1 point

^ Yeah but this deserves a major national campaign. Rivals and everything else they've added over the last couple of years is enough reason for interstate families to plan trips. Maybe it's coming but I know I would've done things totally differently.1 point

@ABYSS because of Goliath they have a viewing area in the middle with benches. Great views of Goliath, Rampage and Abyss from there. So the old Below Zero store is now in that area and the Abyss arch is behind the store now. So they changed he name to suit Goliath. Along with a new menu.1 point

@ABYSS there you are. Also I will post a review when I get home. Just left AW after riding 12 goes on Goliath! That ride is insane. The air time and freedom of lap bars is amazing and the intensity and speed is AWesome.1 point

@GoGoBoy Yeah absolutely. I don't know too many people who know of its existence outside of people who live in Brisbane/GC and enthusiasts. I have faith the ride will just speak for itself and in a few years everyone will have had a friend who's ridden it and raved about it, but the initial marketing has been pretty much nonexistent.1 point

Seems DCR is having the desired effect in drawing all the locals and tourists to MW DW is deserted.. weekend and school holidays and no waits on any kids rides... great for my son and I, not so much for DW...0 points
