Are you all talking about the castle que being dark? Reason for that is simple. Combination of being cheap and no one consulting on design. The que originally had 300w tungsten halogen lamps pointed at each window panel. The bounce of these produced ample ambient light for the space. These constantly required replacement so the minute the worlds cheapest LED replacement was available they 'started' to get changed out. Unfortunately the LEDs chosen were/are cheap and nasty, and set to an 'amber' they provide little bounce and thus you have the resulting dark que area. There are still a couple of the old lamps left because not ALL were replaced #budget. There's even a couple of EXTREMELY AWFUL home made modified lights up there that light a couple panels in a cool white, just gross. The whole space is one of my most hated places in the park lighting wise and it drives me nuts every time I see it. Badly needs a refit by a theatrical lighting designer... again something only Disney and Universal do, which is why their stuff looks 100x better than spaces lit by electricians.

You want proof that a relatively low budget roller coaster doesn't have a feature that exists on no other comparable coaster before or since? The only thing unique about Superman Escape from a design perspective is the length, speed and heavily curved nature of its friction tyre section. You feel it immediately upon dispatch because it cranks up to full speed right off the bat so there's a lot of friction. You feel it leaving the station in the front rows more than others because the main tyres are located at the front of the station. You feel it throughout the curved sections because Intamin places tyres on curved sections of track, which means there's some side-to-side skidding because the trains don't travel over them perfectly straight on. Rhythmic and timed? It's almost like it travels at a constant speed with tyres placed at equal distances? Crazy I know...

There is a brand new Scooby-Doo CGI animated film in production right now. It originally had a 2018 release date, but WB pushed it back to May 15, 2020. It will be the first movie in the 'Hanna Barbera Cinematic Universe' which will include The Jetsons. As a film franchise, Scooby Doo is about to be refreshed and renewed by WB.

Is anyone actually excited for this new addition to Seaworld? Is this truly the best use of a nice flat plot of land? Is a splash zone something that Seaworld is in dire need of at this point? I really am stumped that this project got the go ahead....seaworld is in a dire need of a new major attraction or even a new themed area with 1 or 2 dry rides. Am I the only one who is thinking this?

Theres a bunch of subs next to the track... you can see them. Combined with the low jog speed of the train creates a pretty convincing effect.

It's noticeable front row just as you leave the station, definitely a rotating weight vibration (like a large version of the one in your phone). I think there is one in the dummy station too.

That bridge has been there for a very long time They quite often operate Shockwave with only 1 person Yes that closure of the path is annoying, but it’s for reason. They can’t just reopen it when TRR is still there and would mean even more high walls needing construction. BuzzSaw is under maintenance 16/10/2017 - 30/11/2017 (which seems like quite a long time compared to normal), so maybe while they are removing Eureka, they will begin the demolition of TRR.

I was extremely young when I visited Wonderland, so I feel the majority of the video is based around the nostalgia of seeing the park. It's probably not my all time favourite, just thought it was awesome to actually see the park again.

Yes and no. Taft (which owned KECO) was only a minority stakeholder in Wonderland. Other owners at construction included James Hardie, Leighton Holdings and the NSW State Superannuation Board... Paramount purchased Taft \ KECO in 1992, but chose not to acquire the Taft\KECO stake in Wonderland as part of the deal. I think the logic behind it was the distance (as all the other KECO parks were in North America). Sunway didn't acquire Wonderland until 1997 - in the interim, the Taft\KECO share was purchased by a local group of investors - the identity of which I don't know, but I'm fairly certain they were other than the original investment group. I wish we did though - considering out of the 4 non-opening day attractions, both Demon and Probe were installed at a time when it was all locally owned. Only the Moore Park SkyRider was installed post-sunway, (and Zodiac while it was still KECO). That said, Probe was an expensive investment at the time, and possibly led to some cash flow issues leading to the sale to sunway - purely speculation, but it makes sense within a year after the ride opened.

These attractions are planned a good 18 months in advance so no one knows what the other is doing. Gumbuya will be the ones who get hit most I think, (for a number of reasons). Can't wait to see the team at FF and the new attractions on the 21st. You guys all know how much of a fan I am of FF! By the way, the Marketing is being done by Biscuit. I never used them simply because they are Melbourne based but I think you would all agree, they come up with some cool stuff!

At what point do they just say "Stuff it" and throw in the towel on Scooby Doo? Is it really worth spending a fortune on reviving a clearly rundown attraction when they could utilize the space and ride with a new IP... Even though said ride would probably be "DC JUSTICE LEAGUE: WILD MOUSE COASTER". I feel that Scooby is unfortunately at a point of no return .

Maybe this will require an overhaul of their online ticketing system, and in turn convince them it's time to upgrade the rest of their website suite. *fountain reacts only*

Sort of seems like the system they have at Volcano Bay, which looks awesome. Can’t wait to see what VRTP do with the system and improves the park experience
