I'm meeting Movie Worlds owner for breakfast in a few weeks time, shall I mention this??3 points

Thank you Alex. I'm all about transparency. It was never my intention to cause any drama, I just want to create videos about theme parks and for people to enjoy them. It was an inexperienced move on my behalf not to seek permission first, but I'm trying to make things right. Thankfully I've learnt a valuable lesson early into the series.3 points

The construction of Funfields' record breaking Gravity Wave water slide Funfields gears up for the 2017 season with the addition of not one but two major attractions: the mammoth Gravity Wave water slide and the thrilling Voodoo looping gyro-swing flat ride. Click here to continue reading2 points

This is a copy of my current set up on the video for ads. I can't demonetize it because of my contract with Fullscreen, but I made sure it's actively running no ads. Also I used to rely on donations because YouTube was my full time career at one point. Thankfully I can now fully support myself and any money I get from YouTube I donate to organisations I trust. See below: Also I'm "schooled" in copyright law as I've constantly been harassed by organisations flagging my previous parody and cover videos. You're very interested in research I see, so you'll see that this is my first video like this and I'm not that experienced with reaching out for permission. They've asked first because they're large corporations with massive teams of people lending a hand with varying levels of experience. I'm one 24 year old dude who has an interest in theme parks and making videos. I don't have a legal team backing me and everything I do is based off my previous experience. 'Tyme Creative' is also a co-operative between myself and a mate to legitimize our creative ventures. It's literally just a business name at this point and has no actual corporate standing. Once again, you're very versed in research but failed to include this? Also thank you for releasing the email I sent to the WonderlandHistory.Net team in confidentiality publicly instead of replying to it. Who is really trying to fix this issue?2 points

And yet you disagreed with me the other week when i suggested that VRTP monetised whatever they could. Look - i'm not surprised by this, nor am I disappointed. Its completely understandable if the product was selling out that they would up the price - its simple supply and demand economics. They'll find a balance where they don't sell out, and don't impact the queue too heavily, and still make a bucket of money. As they sell less, they'll reduce the price. I'm all for them integrating it into their existing fasttrack model, but given the ride is still in 'premiere' - i think it's safe to keep it separate for the moment. I'm sure once the demand wears off, they'll bundle it with their existing product. It's the same reason why stores that compete on price will price something '$19.99' instead of $20. its a psychological thing. $19 makes it sounda lot cheaper than $20, even though its only a dollar.2 points

Futuroscope's manager, Dominique Hummel, has recently announced the construction of a major roller coaster at the park for 2019. The coaster would cost 22 million euros, theming included, which would be the biggest investment of the park for a long while. Source in French: http://www.centre-presse.fr/article-558530-le-futuroscope-attend-pesquet-loeb-et-une-montagne-russe.html Additional info surfaced on the dedicated Futuroscope fan: - The coaster's height requirement will be 105 cm or 42 inches - It will be themed to a space adventure - Will have both indoor and outdoor sections - One of the element would be a freefall drop section of track. Source in French: http://www.forum-futuroscope.net/t829p30-projet-de-coaster-sur-l-espace-au-futuroscope-fin-2019 Very interesting news. Futuroscope has never been coaster-focused. In fact, they only have one roller coaster and it's just a Sunkid Butterfly. But they have a strong financial momentum. I'm very curious how the regular Futuroscope audience will react to this departure from their usual style. It is a fascinating gamble that could well expand the park's reach. Futuroscope is one of the largest French amusement parks and is located near Poitiers, in the western-ish part of the country. It generally has a 2M visitors attendance.1 point

The one that was on the Gold Coast travel centre was a R50 model (50m tall) and not the R60 model like the Wheel of Brisbane and Sea World Eye. The one that used to be on the Gold Coast was actually the unit that was sent to Perth and was owned by World Tourist Attractions and only had 36 gondola's vs the 42 on the Brisbane / Sea World one. The Sea World Eye was actually originally from London as the "Wheel of Birmingham" and was relocated to Sea World in 2006 after being brought by World Tourist Attractions and leased to Sea World. After all the issues with Sea World that particular wheel didn't operate in Australia again. We have had 3 Bussnik wheel's in Australia in total. 2 of the R60's (Brisbane and Sea World) and a R50 model which was the Gold Coast one later transported to Perth. The only model left is now the one in Brisbane. There was also another wheel that operated in Perth for a while which was a Mondial unit (SkyView) hope this answers your questions1 point

Just going to leave this. MELB to SIN is 8 hours and a further bus trip up to KL or another 10 minute longer flight. Keep in mind Australia is not just Queensland. From Perth it is cheaper to fly to Singapore then to fly interstate to the east coast.1 point

The Gold Coast has room for about 2 more big parks, that's the opinion of the GCCC and various talks of various kinds have occurred over the years, it's hard to get all the ducks in a row to get a new park up though. All the same, I feel we'll see another big park proposed sooner rather than later.1 point

Well. Their Gyro swing is awesome, brings in so many people to their park. Nothing is down for maintenance very often, around 1 week maximum per ride per year. It's looking far more cleaner, the corkscrew recently got a paint job to get rid of all of that rust, but it's still as bumpy as it used to be. You should visit the park sometime, it's much better than it was 10 years ago.1 point

I always find it so sad when the Corkscrew at Rainbows End is simply referred to as "The Roller Coaster"1 point

Whist I'm a massive copyright supporter and don't advocate the stealing of any professional works. I often do seem to struggle with the theme park enthusiast world of but hurt when non professional photos are re used for non monetary purposes...1 point

If anything, you might find DD more restrictive. The seatbelt buckle that plugs into the restraint on Rivals is fully adjustable and 'guides' in to the restraint. I actually find the seats more supportive than most office chairs and even cars! Mack have done a brilliant job to ensure your not only secure but also physically supported while flying around the circuit. Have fun 😃1 point

I wasn't expecting such a great quality video. This was super interesting and informative. I hope you do make more like this in the future as I would watch the hell out of them.1 point

SDSC is probably the most restrictive in terms of size from what I’ve seen with people. If you make it on there you’ll be sweet on Rivals1 point

Rocky hollow log ride Is looking good they are replacing all the old station part that hold the log in place when riders get in and new wood around the track I’m forgot to get photos on Friday but looks like just are making it safer with new parts can’t wait to see how it feels in December. I took two photo of the mine cart mountain. Everyone is hoping that once mountain is gone, the track is in good Condition for renovation can be done so we can ride this ride once again as it was a great ride.1 point

I think it's actually a 16 passenger Zamperla Discovery Revolution . The funfields website states the height of the Voodoo is 18m, which matches with the tech specs on this page: http://www.zamperla.com/products/discovery-revolution/ I'm loving the story and theme for this ride. Also loving the stellar marketing job Funfields is doing for these 2 new rides! Really putting movieworld's marketing for DC Rivals to shame.1 point

Take a look at Eureka. Now look at blue lagoon. Back to Eureka. Return to the blue lagoon And back to Eureka... That mountain over at Eureka that they're currently demolishing is highly likely what Blue Lagoon would look like now.1 point

Can confirm that that seats/harness for Rivals is a little more restrictive than Scooby doo. My wife rides Scooby doo (attendants always give the bar an extra push down for her to squeeze her in) but she couldn’t fit on rivals. Not by much kind you, the clip was less than an inch from clicking in. She’s never had issues with any other ride. Unhappy wife after I rode it twice forwards and backwards in my own. It’s what I get for marrying a big bootied girl.0 points

It could be a safety concern over the painful force some guests mainly children were feeling and complaining about in relation to the bucket.0 points

Yes I thought as much - this kind of moots the suggestion it went to brisbane, no? I knew they weren't the same, but those facts were the easiest way to show it... rather than just say 'they aren't the same wheel but i have no proof!"0 points

As much as I love theme parks, Queensland already has 6 major theme parks, 5 of which are in the Gold Coast. It definitely doesn't need even more! What I would like to see is Dreamworld sold to a major international theme park operator like those you mentioned. Ideally Merlin in my opinion. Obviously it's up to Ardent if they want to sell it though, and it's up to any suchbig international company if they want to buy it. That last bit is where maybe the government could playa small part to help sweeten the deal!0 points
