  2. I applaud Chermside for their addition pictured above. I only live 5 minutes away and have spent a fair amount in the new dining precinct since it opened, either with family, or for social events, or even just for a quick coffee/light meal with a friend. Kingpin was well thought out as well, I think it makes great use of the space. I'm not a huge video arcade fan, I find most a bit dingy, noisy and claustrophobic, but I've been to this one half a dozen times since it opened. I'm yet to see a quiet night there on a weekend, and even weekdays are busier than expected. On occasion, we would have gone for dinner there, then spending any money on food in the parks.

  4. Basically seems DW is demolishing any of these structures built years ago that needed to be maintained to stay safe because well they didn't bother to maintain them... Dont be fooled into thinking this or the log ride cave was removed for sight line reasons. Its because they were unsound because the park doesn't do adequate maintenance on anything.

  5. This project was so close to become a reality in Brisbane that it wouldn't surprise me if the film was already in production before DW took over the project. https://www.parkz.com.au/article/2017/11/14/564-Dreamworlds_plans_for_a_simulator_will_face_tough_competition.html http://www.couriermail.com.au/questnews/brisbane-will-have-a-new-flying-theatre/news-story/d6520de885dee57ff0e4c3adce6e5452 " 29th May, 2017, Brogent and Australian production company Cutting Edge celebrated the lensing ceremony event for their latest ride film production effort. The Director of Taipei Economic and Cultural office in Brisbane, Queensland state government officials and Brisbane city government officials all witnessed the start of the cooperation between Brogent and Cutting Edge to produce a flying theater ride film in Australia. " I wish you were wrong because the unfixed I-Ride looks like a better option for a thrill seeker. The fixed I-Ride comes with seat belts but who knows what DW will do with it. Dw might go with the Glad Wrap model.

  7. Another sad day in DW’s history brought to you by AL. After close to 18 months AL still have no master plan forward and how to get out of this mess.

  8. It's really sad to see Dreamworld going over the top with "safety" features. I honestly feel like the park is intentionally adding reasonably pointless "safety" upgrades to rides just so it can fix it's reputation. Take the shockwave for example. No other Disk O's in Australia or NZ are using harnesses, including the 2 year older Invader ride at Rainbows End, yet it gets the attention from us and it makes us feel good that Dreamworld is focused on safety. I feel like Pitt and Sherry may be behind half of this too, telling Dreamworld to add things they perhaps don't genuinely need. The log ride "cage" is so stupid and racing-grade seatbelts would have looked cleaner and would have also been more comfortable. They need to really STOP FIXING THINGS THAT ARE NOT BROKEN.
