That video is worth watching just for when German Alf calls the cat at 8 mins 50 seconds in.2 points

It’s brand new and just been installed. Brogent wouldn’t just set it up and leave it. Initially syncing it is a big part of testing sv that Brogent would conduct before ever leaving the ride in the hands of dreamworld. Also, the person who rode it mentioned going through some environment while swaying or getting sprayed with mist. It is synced.2 points

It's definitely worth checking out the community guidelines, I think you'll find these sections under Membership that i've picked out relevant: We're all happy to have you on and contribute. I'm personally not interested in watching you come back week after week under a different pseudonym (yes we have our ways of knowing who's who) and slowly making bigger and bigger claims of grandiose, only for myself or one of the other mods to clean up the fallout (FYI, it's not a paid gig, we do it because we love theme parks and want to share our passion with others.)2 points

Fair few inaccuracies here, however cool video link to a ride I loved as a kid https://movieweb.com/gremlins-ride-warner-bros-theme-park-video-movie-world/ Australia's Warner Bros. Movie World opened in 1991 and it featured a Gremlins ride. It's not clear why we're all just learning about this now because this seems like some pretty huge news. If that wasn't enough, another Warner Bros. theme park opened in Germany, five years after the Australian park and it too featured The Great Gremlin Adventure. However, there were some key differences to both sets of rides and their respective countries that are pretty puzzling. The Australian version of The Great Gremlin Adventure ride starts off in a movie theater where parkgoers get to watch deleted footage and bloopers from Warner Bros. movies and TV shows. However, before the footage ends, Gremlins take over the theater and it's up to you to escape. The animatronic versions of the creatures look pretty awesome, but it's nearly impossible to escape, so Warner Bros. brought in an animatronic Beetlejuice to lead everybody to safety. Nobody seems to have any idea why the Ghost with the Most is included on a Gremlins ride, but it's just weird enough to be cool. The German version of The Great Gremlin Adventure ride is pretty much the same thing, except it has a different intro and Beetlejuice isn't there to help you. Instead, the German version of the theme park enlisted ALF, aka Gordon Shumway, from the hit American TV series of the same name. Before the ride begins, ALF tries to hunt a cat and reaches to grab one, but a Gremlin attacks him instead, so it's up to the parkgoers and ALF to find a way out to safety. Related: 12 Christmas Movies Not About Christmas Beetlejuice was a pretty odd choice to help escape the Gremlins, but ALFseems like an even weirder choice. However, upon some further research, it appears that Gordon Shumway was pretty huge in Germany and was a popstar for a short amount of time. The man who did the German voice of the alien is Tommi Piper and he released two albums as ALF, which spawned 4 top ten singles. So, it makes sense that the cat-loving alien from Melmac was there to help the tourists make it out of the park alive. Maybe David Hasselhoff wasn't available? Both Warner Bros. theme parks in Australia and Germany didn't last very long, so it makes sense that a lot of us in North America didn't know about the excellent Gremlins ride until now. Thankfully, there is some video footage of both rides, featuring Beetlejuice and ALF, which should give you a good idea of what we all missed out on in the 1990s. One has to wonder why the Gremlins ride and the Warner Bros. theme park never made it out to other areas of the world. A Gremlins ride would more than likely be met with open arms at this point in time. You can watch footage of both rides below. Thanks to Alex Pardee's Twitter account for finding these gems.1 point

Almost 100% of that is bullshit. You were warned yesterday in this very thread, and this made up crap simply doesn't outweigh whatever other opinions you post here. We've been really forgiving and polite about this but enough's enough - consider this a very public last warning.1 point

Sky Voyager was awesome, the internals was exactly what I thought. Themed as an airport. Runway stripped flooring, massive 747 passenger plane model on display. Awesome shop. Awesome film. Mist not yet working but the turning, spinning etc are great1 point

It's been said a million times before but as a theme park you can't just choose to focus on one part of the market because that's literally how theme parks die. Furthermore, focussing on families is a PR choice and nothing more - literally every major player knows that there's about to be a huge dip in the family market due to a generational gap, which is why there's so many new roller-coasters being built. Conditions are also ripe for big a new ride, not to mention overdue. For Dreamworld to succeed, one needs to look beyond TRR and even look beyond Village and take a gander at what's happening globally, and what they're doing right now isn't it.1 point

What ???? WnWGC has both a lazy river and a wave pool and neither of them make each other redundant. Many other water parks around the world have both rides. And when the time comes for Hot Wheels to be ripped down, it is far more likely an extra slide tower would go in its place than a new coaster.1 point

Hey, I'm actually the guy who made these videos, thanks for the good feedback. Making content on theme parks, especially on Australian ones, is not at all common on Youtube, but there's a lot to explore in the Australian theme park world.1 point

Dylan Theme Park Enthusiast, not even an hour ago you said: So what is it? Take the hint, we know when you're lying, pull your head in, follow the rules or we'll ban you again for the third fourth fifth time.1 point

Can people just block people they don't want to hear from. Someone tries to troll and no one responds than the problem goes away. So go on, block people who trigger you1 point

What happened on Green Lantern didn't affect attendance though. I don't buy for a moment the it's all DW thing for the Village Theme Parks decline, particularly WnWS, but it is pretty clear that it had a huge impact. I mean unless you know another reason why their attendance went down the year they added a Hyper? Also MW isnt in a downturn, the whole of VRTP is. Big difference. They're also coming out of their downturn.1 point

I love how Movie World's downfall recently is always blamed on Dreamworld. People easily forget that Movie World were very close to killing people on Green Lantern.1 point

Dreamworld has finally come into terms to remove cages from the ride0 points

Should Dreamworld even keep the rocky Hollow log ride with the cave now gone it's not really worth keeping, it be better as a foot path as the boats go really slow around the course anyways, people can walk faster. Perhaps they could make the plunge a slide instead.0 points
