  1. Park guests are all "but will it open later today?"

  2. Tim and I were at Adventure World, today. It was relatively busy as the forecast was in the low to mid 30s. The Kraken time board was reporting waits of 20 minutes and it was fairly close to the mark. Wait times for Abyss and Inferno were around 5 minutes. The queues for the waterslides were quite long, so we spent a bit of time in the pool and on some sun lounges. The animal area was quiet, although it does look like they’ve split the kangaroo mob in two, with the females and joeys in one half, so they can get them used to hand feeding. The only thing that really bugged me, today, was that the bar area was closed and we couldn’t eat up there, which meant there was limited seating for lunch. Otherwise Perth had perfect water park weather all weekend. I passed Kalamunda Water Park on Saturday and they seemed to be doing quite well too.

  3. As much as i'm team HUSS TOP SPIN, this is still hard to see... Soo glad they spent all that money not long ago on new bearings etc. I'm literally done with that place, it's a never again for me unfortunately, nothing there for me to want to visit, and as much as I didn't rate the Wipeout as a ride, it was incredibly iconic, and fun to watch.. and the sounds from those engines will be missed :-(

  5. Hopefully it's just a quick removal of the ride rather than the whole area, would be nice for them to reuse the wave, shack/station and old surfboards that went missing a while back in the seating area. If you're not going to give us anything new then a reminder of what once was is better than nothing

  7. The hook turn thing isn't major, few intersections have it..... you shouldn't really be taking your metal box into the cbd, and if you do, you can suffer the hook turns

  8. Ok kiddies, I'm here to end the debate. Where else in Australia can you be at work in the morning, ride Rivals at lunch and be back at work for the afternoon? GOLD COAST is the greatest city in Australia.

  9. As with ReviewTyme's rating system; the ranking of a city comes down to the what the individual is looking for. Sydney may be ranked as one of the most live-able cities in the world (source) but it's also one of the most expensive cities in the world (source). All rankings are arbitrary unless you're looking for specifics. Melbourne is better suited for the creative industries because it already embraces entertainment and artistic culture. Sydney has shown time and time again that it's business first, leisure later with business opportunities and developments thriving whilst many entertainment venues and even theme parks fail spectacularly. Sure, the city does have events like VIVID but a good chunk of the attendees are domestic or international travelers (source). When living in the city I knew many Sydney-siders that despised the event because it disrupted their daily commutes, added more crowds and made it difficult to navigate the city. Sydney is not what I'd call a 'fun' city. I get why many Melbournites toot their own horn.

  10. You are such a salty idiot. There is really no need for such an attitude.

  11. I found this pretty funny, I’m sure it is somewhat frequent but I haven’t been to dreamworld in years. The GD ride cycle after mine has been stuck for 10 minutes so far. Engineers just rocked up, wonder how long this lone bloke will be up there. I’m honestly very jealous, I love these unique ride experiences. Update: it’s been 15 minutes. How many engineers does it take to get this lone bloke down, 6 so far. Update 2: after 20 minutes was Very slowly lowered down

  15. And yet none of the people you quoted defending Melbourne or agreeing with me are even from Melbourne. You've obviously got a chip on you shoulder and you aren't going to give it up. Your unfair prejudice and lack of impartiality means I'm clearly wasting my effort. Every major city in Australia have their own identities and things that make them great. Competing is just stupid. Good luck being angry at a city you don't even live in. That's on you.

  16. *********** The Queensland Government were the ones that stuffed it*********** SSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Who the hell runs an event and run a scare campaign turning people off the event?

  17. Most stupid comment I've ever read. Go look at a weather report before making immature unfounded comments. What are you 12? Melbourne can be changeable but it doesn't happen everyday lol

  22. This was actually a very early days idea for MW, believe it or not and the Theme toyed around at the time was the movie "Towering Inferno". By early days I mean BATR (early 90's) This ride experience was a tonne of fun. Felt more like a ride on the 'Zipper' with the Cage like cars and how you wound up on your back before being swung back down after reaching the end of the run out. I experienced the one at 6 Flags Magic Mountain and from memory it was a super Popular ride with long lines. The freefall experience was quite terrifying. I would dearly love to see Intamin bring back this experience with a modern day look and feel.

  24. Adventure World did up the Bounty’s Revenge ship and placed it elsewhere in the park after the ride closed. They also replaced it with a Gyro Swing the season after. Some kind of reminder might be nice.

  25. Great idea. I know when I go to an airport I like to see old, rusted, unmaintained aircraft as I walk to my flight.

  26. Be ironic if they forgot to install fire exits. But in all honestly the issue is with the building. They lost the key's to the front door.

  27. I’d just like to see more family type attractions - ones that you could ride over and over again. Gerstlauer family coaster with a reverse section(especially like Pegasus Express). Zamperla Hydro Lift or a similar kind of river raft ride. A shooting dark ride or Ninjago type thing would be cool too. Nothing that would break the bank, but would help to round out a day at any of our local parks.

  28. Lol no offense but if you need to cite the designer, it's a rubbish record. News just in, Arkham is the tallest Vekoma Rollee Coaster in Australia 👍🏻 All this sort of marketing does is devalue records as a thing, like all those super niche Proslide records. Just market something for how good it is rather than some obscure fact that not even autistic super fans care about. Joz - Autistic super fan.

  30. Hahahaha Ardent you dick heads. That is not they way to destroy a ride, if you are going to do it this way could've been destroyed behind the scenes rather than open to public view...

  31. I was trying to give you the benefit of assuming you didn't have the necessary basic knowledge of how to recognise who a question is directed to, but you seem not to have the requisite common sense to understand that so I don't think I can help.
