  2. I did the same for my first ride and even with two beers it was still a major embarrassment to what it used to be. The ride itself is still fun just they have managed to install theming that makes the ride worse and into something I'd expect at a Chinese knock off park not an officially licensed by WB park.

  3. Few photos I took. They'll most likely be my only construction photos.

  4. You know it's winter when SW's dry rides go down for maintenance. 🤔

  5. Here’s the first construction update since it’s announcement: There was some activity happening on the eastern side of the land, with some large machinery a lot of shipping containers on site All the trees have now been removed from the land where The Vortex will be and the creatures will be removed very soon. Sky Flyer is closed for maintenance, so the entire COTD area is closed off With JR also closed right now for maintenance, access through this area of the park is restricted, but I’m thinking (based off the concept artwork), we will see this bridge finally go and the pathway issues in this area resolved

  6. I am sure the monorail will run for as long as it can before vertical construction near the monorail begins. That's why I took the pics I did. That whole area will be transformed from a storage area to a coaster area. pretty neat to document that.

  8. @Richard - code error in the article links Should rode be ride? good to have confirmation of which layout is correct. interesting that they can't get their stats right... maybe they're factoring transfer tracks or maintenance bays into the track lengths?

  9. I guess it would depend on where the construction works are. Clearly they're leaving the monorail to go through so I would think that only construction that is near the rail, or otherwise affects the construction envelope. @Naazon raises a good point that it'd be great for photos. Village have come out of the blocks running with announcements, artists impressions and scale models, so they're being very open about the construction - it might actually be pretty cool for them to operate the monorail wherever construction allows it, to give people a sneak peak...

  10. The height safety system has to be there regardless, it has been on the lift hill since day 1. They didn't do a separate one for this.

  11. Bikash has also said recently that the monorail isn't going, and is in fact due for an upgrade. I look forward to this being true... now... will somebody pass the salt?

  12. It would be easy for them to construct. Just a blank dark maze with a few screens here and there showing one second clips of scappy-doo. It could end with a brief flash of white light.

  13. Disney has nothing on Dreamworld. The last time I went to Disney all I wanted to do is sit down all day and do nothing.
