Senior management is okay at our parks now. Probably as customer focused as they've ever been. Still far from perfect, but as good as it'll ever be. Its middle and lower management where the problems are at our parks. All egos and politics and they manage to ruin just about every well meaning directive from the top.

None of them around here...

BREAKING NEWS - NEW Dragon's Revenge Swing Ride is LANDING SOON at Funfields. For those 100cm or taller this is a great ride for families! One of many exciting surprises coming to Funfields' new 'Mystic Kingdom' area this season.

From a general public point of view, great to see Funfields moving more towards themed lands and these additions will help attract more families to the park and encourage more season pass sales. From my personal park attendee point of view, i’m disappointed because I thought this would be the season that Funfields would build their new slide to go next to the Gravity Wave or build some other teen/adult attraction. Oh well, hopefully the 20/21 season brings more goodies. Also here’s the new park map for the season. Looks like the little kids go karts and Burnout (former Dreamworld Stingray) are going, making way for the new spinning swing ride. There is a new fantasy garden with talking tree, and kids party castle, the kids zone as a whole is also being re-themed to match. The existing kids splash wet playground area is also getting re-themed to a jungle theme.

Speaking of, the waterslides now have a name! An interesting one, for sure..

I think the idea is right, with CX being a long forgotten component. Two key challenges - economic restraints and senior management. The ideal scenario is having someone at the top that has guest experience as their primary objective. Unfortunately it's a rare thing, with most being run by the accountants or tight-arse private owners with other objectives.

The concrete slabs for the waterslides are being poured today.

And from the ground. There’s a big new sign along Neave’s Road, but nothing above the gates. It was beautiful weather, today, and plenty of people were out and about. The new waterslide tower has a roof and looks great. The old waterslide playground(Splash Island) looks so much better now.

Excellent!!! Will be visiting this park in January so looking forward to returning!! Haven't been there for 7 years- will certainly miss the Wild Mouse coaster they used to have!! Looking forward to seeing all the improvements that have been made since then and of course the opening of the SX360. Their new spinning Wild Mouse coaster, will , unfortunately, be open mid to late next year.

I don't mind it. It is a play on words, being 'fully sick' and that term matches the beach based names of most of their other rides. Yeah it isn't the best name, but it works.

It has already started being manufactured and I assume they have already paid the deposit and if not at least part of it off. The coaster is definitely happening.

Well. I had to jump through numerous virtual hoops, but I have finally got my ticket! I won't go into all the boring details here for fear It'll somehow make certain people feel even more ill, but if anyone's having similar difficulties just send me a PM and I'll do my best to help out (which is normally one of the benefits of forums!)

I might be still missing something, but I can't see a $19 option, only $29. I'll try a different browser and see if that helps! Get stuffed! This is what I see in Firefox or in Internet Explorer!

Can anyone share the link to book Happy Halloween online please? I phoned Dreamworld this morning as I didn't receive the email with the link. The lady who answered wasn't much help!

Hopefully the new roller coaster won't get scrapped like the lazy river.
