I have had some free time over the past few days and decided to have some fun. There is a lot of space around the back of WWW, but once it's gone its gone. Using the original Stage 3 expansion plans for WWW, there is still room for another 2 slide tower plots once HWSW is removed down the track. I also see a Suspended Roller Soaker coaster being a good fit (Zamperla roller coaster that allows you to soak people below with water guns) The main Slide tower at the back right could feature a ProSlide tower with a Tornado wall, Bowl alley and a UFO maybe? Along with an Adventure River, Kiddie splash pads and room for 2 more big slide towers. This also allows a prefect option to re do the back half of ocean parade. Remove Shockwave for a nice RMC Raptor and remove the whole Panda area. With Panda gone its perfect chance to build a dark ride themed around How to Train your dragon which will also have a retheme of Pandamonium to suit. Let me know what your thoughts are?4 points

I know this is probably assumed knowledge, but I have had confirmation from a friend that the parts for Leviathan have already started to arrive, but there are some delays on a lot of the parts that are coming in3 points

No roasting but they have had their day. There are far better , newer options out there that would make far more sense than a Vekoma Boomerang. However, one of their newer family shuttles would be just the thing. Something like this duelling family shuttle would be a viable option for a great family ride.2 points

I originally popped the question in a different chat, but it probably does deserve its own thread. Will we ever see a new rapids ride here in Australia? If so, when?1 point

After Fully 6 opened, what do you think is the next waterslide to be be added to WWW’s collection? I would personally think a terrain based family slide similar to Krakatoa’s Revenge in Blue Lagoon would be a great addition to the park. I would also like more slides/attractions that can cater people under 120cm as many of the parks best attractions are for people over 120cm. I also have a feeling that The Rip may be the first slide from WWW to go as it’s had a lot of down time in previous months. What do you think?1 point

@Jobe Adventure World still has their slide which is similar. They have their original opening day River Rapids slide.1 point

Does Vekoma even make that style of boomerang anymore? Last i remember they were working hard to get as far away from that brand image as possible. Something like the Lech Coaster or even @Jobe's idea would work well.1 point

"Theme Park Worldwide on Youtube!" Also, just wanted to take this opportunity to express that how much does it suck that this will forever be the legacy of the ride. The ride back when i went always had the longest queue in the park, and i had a lot of fun on it. It is a bit of a scary feeling that the ride that i have been on countless times ended with the deaths of four unfortunate people.1 point

Better yet an Action River would be the superior option. TeAwa the Fearless River at Volcano Bay in Orlando is a fantastic attraction. This thing MOVES. We stayed on for about an hour , just going around and around- it is so much more than a lazy river. Would love to see this option at WWW. I would just love a water park in Australia to bring back one of these Mountain Cascade style water slides- this would be a unique and i think very popular slide. There used to be several examples of this type of slide in Australia, most notably at the Waterworks in Mt Druit and at Dreamworlds Blue Lagoon. If not WWW, then Jamberoo , Gubuaya World or Funfields would be an excellent option for this slide in mind. Here is a great example from Quebec in Canada.1 point

I actually really miss the name Cyclone, its still the name i call the ride i suppose.1 point

Get a high quality , immersive ride from a reputable manufacturer like Intamin and the public would soon lose its fear of rapids rides. However, it needs to be another park that actually installs it. Too many memories and the inevitable comparison to TRR would not be the publicity that Dreamworld would want. Plus it would not be a good look on behalf of the four families that lost loved ones on the TRR tragedy. If not Dreamworld then what park? It certainly doesn't leave a lot of candidates. Seaworld would be the obvious choice but does it have the land to support one? Movieworld would also be a good option but would need a major shift in footprint in order to fit one in. Other than that the list draws very short indeed. Adventure World in Perth would appear to be an excellent choice for an installation. Similarly Funfields could also be an option in the future. Beyond that , its highly unlikely. Dreamworld, as has been stated before on the boards, should concentrate on either a new immersive family Log Flume or a Shoot the Chutes style ride. However, if ANY park was to install a similar attraction as Infinity Falls at Seaworld Orlando then I am so there. This thing looks unbelievable!!1 point

If Australia can get the trust of the general public again then it could just happen one day. However that will take time to regain trust and will probably take several of years to. The chances of an in house River rapids in Australia is going to be very very low. A new more modern River rapids ride built by a manufacture would be a lot more thrilling and enjoyable than the old TRR. I would say the chances are unlikely because it is an enjoyable type of attraction but Australian theme parks probably just wants to move on from the accident.1 point

A lazy river and a mammoth falls style ride would round out the park fantastically1 point

This has been approved and confirmed by Universal so they will be opening during those dates. It has also been confirmed by the Orange County mayor that WDW will submit their opening plans sometimes next week.1 point

The park only really needs a lazy river. Most of the other slide types are well represented. The original expansion plan could still work maybe replace the double tornado with a combo (tornado wave into tornado 24/32) to have less of a double up. What is in the image Tim has posted would round out the park and give it enough to last a few more years before they really need to do anything.1 point

Small rustic themed coaster, ideally something from the RMC stable to replace the phyical space Log Ride took up, and a standard Shoot the Chutes in Ocean Parade to replace the role of the Log Ride.1 point

Yeah it’d be a tight fit but I wouldn’t mind a bit of a spaghetti bowl of coasters if it means more coasters and a decent flat haha1 point

Hey - that's a decent effort with basic image programs - it illustrates it nicely - only problem with that is I think the Steel Taipan (or whatever it will be called) is going to occupy a bit of that space, isn't it?1 point

My inlaws live in beerwah. Its such a pain to drive past that site all the time and just see grass grow. Same for Aussie World with SX360 just... hanging out..1 point

I was thinking the same thing but if the native wildlife have moved in and its become such a sanctuary then I guess its hard to refute. Its crazy to think that Dreamworld would have any restrictions placed on them on what they wanted to do with land inside their own boundaries- but this is the world we live in currently. A return of some river cruise or boat ride would be a welcome return and a good family attraction- surely it would not be that expensive to do? Thrill rides are all well and good but the River Cruise is a much loved and lamented attraction and a return of it would be an excellent move by Dreamworld management. Along with a brand new Flume or water ride- these 2 attractions should be on top of Dreamworld's shopping list after the installation of the new coaster.1 point

Teens maybe not, but the family market cannot just be ignored. My son is 7 and is starting to move into coasters and loves SDSC, RR, MDMC, but he’s just as happy going on a ride on the DW Express. Im not in the paddle boat industry, but can imagine sourcing one would be ridiculous expensive, and i seriously doubt there is any chance one would return, however if it wasn’t so financially challenging, I think a river transverse with a show would be a massive crowd puller. Kids would love it as it’s unique, families would love something they could do together, parents and adults would love the chance to relax for 15-20mins, and even the Z’s would probably appreciate the insta and tiktok opportunities it would bring, again given its uniqueness1 point

FYI Country Fair was the name for Ocean Parade before it was Ocean Parade.1 point

I have extremely vague memories of riding it as a kiddo. I remember it being indoors and having a Dinosaur section (pretty sure the baby Triceratops they stuck in the Log Flume was from this) and that's pretty much it. I think the entrance may have been where the Madagascar Coaster is now? I remember enjoying it and being confused why it wasn't there on future visits.1 point

Licence Wild Wild West theme from Warner and build a giant steampunk spider!1 point

Tower of Terror was more "Fortitude Valley" than it was "Outer Space". If you're stuck with a name like "Steel Taipain" and an abandoned saw mill next door, why not go with a bit of Outback Steampunk? A land of imaginative creations with an Australian flavour...1 point
