After taking a trip to Dreamworld This arvo, I’ve noticed that the general store has been gated off, and I was wondering if anyone knew what’s happening over there. The interior has been gutted from what I can see (pictures below), and I reckon there’s a possibility of a retheme or redecorating. Let me know your thoughts please.

IMO, they definitely are addressing those concerns somewhat, but there’s still a way for them to go. Their semi-openness about what’s going on currently (Superman queue/hydraulic launch fault, Doomsday destroyed, the vids & images of Flash/WoO construction, etc) is good, but some of these were done in ways that could’ve been more ‘open’ & less ‘reactionary’. Like, how they’ve now confirmed that Doomsday is closed ‘cause they’re figuring out what to do with the ride, but it’s already been that way for a while, and it’s still only stated as ‘Currently under maintenance’ on the website. Or, how they had the relatively large amount of hype-building posts for the Flash, an inherently reactionary ride in of itself, just to count it as officially open to no fanfare on a random Friday afternoon. Like, the fact they’re doing what they’re doing is a step up from the recent past, but it’s just not quite there yet (again, IMO).

100% not happening. No room for it, and for the most part Superman is actually very reliable (especially for an Accelerator). This is actually the first major issue the ride has had since opening, given it's nearly 20 years old... that's a pretty damn good track record. If it aint broke, don't fix it. (But this time, please fix it Intamin!)

I'm not sure that would work without changing the dark section significantly, also I don't think a spike would fit inside the building. It would also damage the story, it wouldn't make sense for Superman to go backwards into the subway and up then back through the Subway,

I'm usually one of the first to bring out the pitchforks when the park fucks up. The locker upgrade is general trades work. they could do this pretty much any time of year. There's no specialised skills (by this I mean like ride engineering, etc) so it could literally slot in whenever there was an opportunity. If there is a mechanical fault with the launch - which of course is completely understandable given the likes of TT2 and XCelerator, (the ride is getting on in years), and Intamin have said its going to take X period of time to fix \ ship parts \ send techs out to look at it - if you already had this in your back pocket for, say - once Oz was open - why wouldn't you bring it forward?

They've literally painted a section of the ride every year for the past several years in the downtime. After the first year, we were all like - what? it's not finished. then they did another section in the second year and we were like 'ohhhh, they're doing a bit every year'. So on that alone its fair to assume they were planning on painting it again this year.

It's hard to tell where the photos are gonna be now but from looking over the video I think this is the layout? The first image being the current layout (yellow for queue, blue for lockers and red for exit) and the second image is the new layout (not sure about the exit and where the photo area is) Pretend the red line is the second photo exits onto the top path like the first image not the bottom pathway. That was an accident After more analysis I have found out where the photo check station is. (Orange) and made this updated version of the layout. This is the exact layout in the photos but I don't know what it means. (Blue for lockers, orange for photos and yellow for existing path that's still gonna be used) I am not sure how you will exit the load platform. Probably actually where you exit it now . So ignore where I have it located
