  1. How dare you use logic?! I'd say it's nothing to do with a delay directly related to Rivertown. Honestly it makes more sense to keep the whole area closed off until it's ready. A November opening date for Motocoaster seems about the right amount of time to do a retheme of a building. Hopefully after King Claw is done, a retheme of Motorcoaster is next. Based on the whole 20 year cycle that most of the parks are seeming to go with it would be the next major ride to get an overhaul given it opened in 2007. Once it hits 20 years it makes sense to either do a full overhaul (like Scooby / West / Giant Drop / Claw to King Claw) or look at replacing the ride. I'd honestly like to see the Motocoaster removed instead of rethemed and having more money spent on a coaster with a very lacklustre layout. The land is prime real estate and could be used as an expansion to the Rivertown area. Dreamworld would really have a great lineup once Rivertown opens, King Claw and then an expansion / new attractions on that area. I'd say we will have a soft opening the week before xmas with a traditional Boxing Day opening at this stage.

  2. or maybe they’ll just open motorcoaster and rivertown at the same time? just because one got pushed back doesn’t mean the entire thing did.

  3. Personally I believe DW desperately needs a well themed water ride, something on Wild West Scale or Splash Mountain… they could even steal the theme from Mystic River Falls… they don’t need to build a whole mountain but it would require theming if it wants anything on WWF. Thrill rides are cool, but if you want a full day out you need those longer experiences that are longer then 2 minutes

  4. Who told you is was closed to accommodate MM and JR construction? I thought it was closed for the shop to be re-themed.

  5. I don't see one either. Either they know something from the inside they're not explaining, or... actually I have no idea what the motivation could be.

  7. To be honest, if that is how the track was being stored without any maintenance, it would likely have rusted away to nothing more than scrap over 20 years. My guess is that this was scrapped a long time ago when it became clear that the Thunderbolt plot would not be getting a new attraction. They may still have a train or some train cars somewhere. There was only two Meisho Double Loop coasters still operating around the time Thunderbolt was scrapped - one in China which closed in 2010 and the other in North Korea - which is apparently still operating (but I would doubt that), so selling them wasn't really an option. All of the other Meisho Double Loops were removed from parks around 2000-2005.

  8. I'm ok with first aid given the on-site needs for the park, but they should not be taking up more on-stage real estate for back of house space \ offices. such bullshit. i noticed this earlier but didn't think too hard on it. The 48 hour expiry on tokens is a bit shithouse. While holiday makers are likely to visit and use up all their tokens in one visit, having a longer expiry might encourage more regular visitors to spend bigger on their packages, knowing if they don't use it all they can come back another time to finish it off. Saving up tickets earned for bigger prizes is also a motivator. It's a huge part of the timezone formula to encourage more play - seems a really boneheaded move not to keep cards alive - even for say, 6 months - or 6 months since last play, or something like that.

  9. So guessing you don’t realise that Intencity is a brand owned and run by Village Roadshow
