  4. "Food selection leaves alot to be desired, there is a choice between Mexican and a typical theme park burger" That's not very nice, we also have fish and chips

  5. I heard/read that Six Flags is probably looking at closing Superman in the near future because of its cost and reliability issues. I’d love to see Giant Drop reclaim the world record, especially over 13 years later.

  6. Lol the germans aren’t wrong. The Mack family runs Europa park at Disney level efficiency with numerous common models to movie world and across the village roadshow chain generally. Why doesn’t village upper management take a trip there on their next purchase from them and observe how they do things? Hilarious how inept village has been at this when movie world gets similar attendance figures to many parks in Europe and yet hasn’t ever figured out you can dispatch a coaster train in less than 5 minutes. You want to be world class you should act like it. World class theme parks don’t have half the rides shut going into the busiest period of the year. People coming from overseas take the piss out of how we do things.

  7. The point I am trying to make is that they make it cohesive down to the sightlines. The area here fits in with the theming of both Voodoo and Volcano Bay, making it a smooth transition. Whilst at Movie World you will be able to see almost all the coasters from WoO, I cannot remember seeing Superman fly a train of passengers in Wizard of Oz for example. But you are right, Movie World doesn’t have a lot of land especially compared to even the other parks on the coast.

  9. Hang on a sec, the themed land has to transition at some point doesn't it? The whole park cant be superman themed, nor WoZ themed. What attractions are on the other side of Volcano Bay or Voodoo, are they also tribal/island themed? If not, how is this any different? Actually, I'll answer my own question @TBoy ....If it's ok to Have Gravity Wave / Supernova next to Volcano Bay, therefore it's ok to have Superman next to WoZ.

  10. They overhauled Wipeout and shut it a year later. Corkscrew got Sea Vipered in 2010 and shut down in 2014. Of course, not planned retirement - but older rides can have more issues that are too costly to rectify. Don't you mean Kingda bummed?
