  1. For anyone who’s curious, the slides are still in Canberra!

  2. This would be the ideal solution, but it's way too busy to start now and hire/train up staff. Maybe after the summer holdiays this is something DW can look into doing for March holidays though. It definitely adds extra expense, but it also improves the customer experience and the restaurant operations. The other option would be to have a DW app where people can make reservations and order before they arrive at the restaurant, so the kitchen knows what is coming. There's a lot of reasons I think DW should have an app to improve in-park experiences, but I get that the priority is to fix up the park first. Another solution (long term) is to open other themed restaurants to disperse the crowds a bit more across multiple venues. Maybe down the line we'll see a sit-down seafood restaurant on Ocean Parade, and Smokehouse Bar & Grill will get a proper sit down venue on the opposite end of the park when RHLR finally gets a replacement.

  3. I’m down in Melbourne again at the moment and I’ve made it to Funfields for the opening day of Lava Lagoon and the Cyber Drift Bumper Cars. The area is very nicely presented and will look even better after the trees and plants grow (I believe there is more theming to be added later on too). There are cabanas on the island and alongside sections of the river that can be hired out as well as a large “beach” area with free seating (on a first come, first served basis). Cyber Drift Bumper Cars really impressed me. I wasn’t expecting much in terms of theming, but what the park delivered definitely exceeded my expectations. It may not come across the best in these photos, but the entire roof is pixel mapped and the 3D signs and neon lights around the outside of the arena are all synchronised to create a pretty neat light show during the ride. All in all, these are definitely both nice additions to the park.

  4. I have seen MM get as long as an hour, but yeah Jungle Rush they are dispatching generally within 3mins so haven’t seen a wait time over 30m so far. I recommend doing MM first, then Jungle Rush. Yesterday the park gates opened at 9:45 and staff held people near the coffee shop until 9:55. Rode MM immediately and could see the empty JR trains cycling, then had a 5 min wait for JR.

  5. Mississippi motors generally looking at 30-45 minute wait very popular. Jungle Rush roughly the same, if you get there for opening head straight there, we managed to get 2 rides on Jungle Rush back to back with no wait.

  6. Not sure where else to post this, but as a boss, Greg is incredible. What he has been able to do to turn Dreamworld around is brilliant. The car park is full, and the park has an energy again. I am here today, and he is making drinks at Jane's Restaurant. I told him he was and inspiration to his staff, and his response was 'when we are busy, you help out.' I would love to have him as a mentor.
