  1. so are movie world staff allowed to let the public use their video camera on the ride?? In that instance, I am sorry as I did not know that nor did i intend to discredit flea's work. I guess its a concern... Whenever I have been to dream world I have always been refused because loose objects and cameras may become a safety issue. What do the parks state about using videocameras
  2. Thats fair enough mate but after looking at your movie world video... its quite clear you didnt think about the risks taken by you taking that camera on the ride. Its not damaging your camera thats important... but what could happen if your camera hits and injures another person on the ride. Ever thought of that? Parks dont have a 'No Camera' policy for nothing you know... is the danger worth a couple of minutes of live footage from the ride?
  3. Must say, I forgot about the staff! Of all the parks in Queensland and NSW, the staff at Wonderland clearly stand out as the most enthusiastic and friendly. Also have any of you guys been to Rainforest Aviary in the WLP? Its a great place to chill from the hustle and bustle of the Park (just hope a bird dont sh*t on ya!)
  4. In response to all the negative comments splashed out by this forum about Wonderland, i thought it was time for a change. My question is... What do u like best, or whats your favourite thing about Wonderland Sydney? It might be a ride, a show, a person working at the park. It can be something current or something old (I can hear an outcry of Beastie! coming along) Ill kickstart the discussion with my favourite parts of the park *The Magic Show *Goldrush Themeing *Snowy River Rapids Please dont use this thread as another opportunity to start a 'kick while they're down' technique for the park. Fire away............................
  5. Yeah mate. Great Work. One question, What inspired you to put the spinning coke bottle in (in amongst the algae)??
  6. My point exactly. Why the big issue then?? All was done fair and just.
  7. Hi everyone, first let me congratulate the moderator on a great forum and website. I just wanted to ask what the fate of the three major rollercoasters from Expo 88 were. I remember the 'Titan' boomerang moved to Wonderland as the 'Demon' But what happened to the 'Supernova' and the other one? I think it was Centerpede or something like that... i thought the inverted coaster was awesome... Are either of the latter two still operational??? Thanks.
  8. Wasn't there a game show recently produced from movieworld?? I think it was called Cash Bonanza or something like that, it aired on channel 9 and was hosted by larry emdur. They used to take the contestants on Wild Wild West before they went on the show... Is there any relation between the Scooby Movie and the actual attraction?? (I mean did they use the warehouse where the coaster is, for movie-related uses???)
  9. I think the roughness of a ride adds to the intensity and adds to the experience... LW is a little rough... but really what can you expect for a ride that has so many inversions??? Surely it has a few decades before meeting the fate of DW's doomed bolt.
  10. Honestly, would you expect Wonderland to charge people admission then scuffle them out of the park? Of course not!!! The idea to close the park early probably would have been made earlier in the day and therefore staff would be prepared to tell guests entering of their decision... Richard, the idea to suggest a 'criminal' action only adds to the growing amount of uneccessary negative comments about the park. Surely from your position that you would understand the logistics and responsibilites associated from the management of a large organisation. (Just a comment, not trying to take a swipe at you!)
