Ahh BUT MrT... Do you have a genuine opening day memorabilia frame consisting of two limited edition badges, poster and picture of Robert Z. and Bob G. in front of the ride entrance signed by Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale? Because I don't So um Gav.. exactly how much time DO you have spare?

What? You seriously think a mil? You just said the set up is 66 000, yea thats alot, but its a far way from a million. The mazes are only made of ply wood which is dirt cheap, lighting and effects would cost a terrible lot too. For a million dollars, you would want a 6 story maze. I was talking to the guys at zone empire last I was there and they have a 3 story maze, 30 vests, wireless controlling, data base of high scores and every members scores, not to mention about 15 free to play x-box's in the waiting area, briefing room, there own soundtrack, bases and smoke machines running all day and all night, they didn't tell me there price the set up, but they said it was that expensive and it's quiet low on running costs.

AiRush Vertical Wind Tunnel/Skydiving Simulator
mickey_079 replied to mattcrombie's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I'll be staying at the towers in march, im upset it won't be done for when I'm there. I've done sky diving here at home 2 times so it would be interesting to see how it compares to the real thing. -
^ I'm sorry but...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't speed cost a lot more to operate? And isn't it a lower capacity ride? It would be a terrible choice of ride, especially in the holidays considering how busy they actually get. Look Paul, if you don't like it why do you visit? Why not travel a little longer and go to Jamberoo? It's a worry if Luna Park is the only thing you can think of to do in the holidays.

Splash canyon has been hanging around the shows in the hunter valley lately.

Movember all year round Tony Remember though, the new Taipan is there now which is what seems to be making the guests flock. -
But qldtaw we aren't really effected by the economic crisis yet? My job at the mine has been moved back till January now because of the crisis but they haven't sacked anyone yet? Nor have they stated they have any plans to.

Dreamworld to get virtual queuing in two weeks time
mickey_079 replied to glennborthwick's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Push in? The Disney fast pass has an entrance NEXT to the normal entrance and the queue simply joins in to the normal queue further on (usually half apart, excluding Indiana Jones). You don't skip the entire line, you basically join half way in (depending on the ride) which is what makes Disney FastPass so fair. What else makes its fair is it also FREE, meaning everyone can enjoy it, each admission ticket can only obtain one pass at a time and each attraction has a limit of passes per attraction. This is NOTHING like Disney FastPass. -

All I can say to you is your going at the wrong time. Hope you enjoy waiting in line because thats all you will be doing. I went during a school week a few weeks back and it was still fairly busy. -
The cars look like they handle very well, especially the slow speed drifts. Seems as though the have tried to keep the cars as quiet as possible, judging from the footage, my statement could be wrong however.
-
Do you mean riders?

Happened a lot to me as well. We came across an Aussie family as we were waiting in line for space mountain in Disneyland (they had a swans scarf on). Then towards the end of the trip we bumped into them at Orlando in IOA about 3 or 5 times a day.

Dreamworld to get virtual queuing in two weeks time
mickey_079 replied to glennborthwick's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Its what happens at the disney parks. However I personally think the fast pass system is a much more fair system. Only a certain amount will be printed per day, and you can only obtain one pass within a certain amount of time, making sure nearly everyone gets a fair go. -
No I never was, there too heavy, terrible turning circles... I never said I thought it was a drag race To me PERSONALLY it takes A LOT to make a rice burner look good. And I PERSONALLY don't think they look good. I was expressing how I felt about the COSMETICS of the cars and not the performance. I never said in that post that these cars aren't suited to be stunt cars.
-
What the.... Why is this being done to the park? There's nothing wrong. Bah Disney has too much money
-
Can anyone say ugly rice burners?

Cadboy flying coasters don't really give the full of effect of actual flying unless there high off the ground like Tatsu. Tatsu is unique and one of the best flyers around, well maybe apart from Crystal Wings. As much as most of us would love a Flyer, it just won't work. I'd rather aim for something more realistic like a floorless, or standup and just something big!

Bad choice of music, it doesn't match the ride's movements. No attempt to sync music with rides movements. Camera quality is low, but that's fine It just from a digital camera Seems like you enjoy editing movies, I'm sure after practice you will produce more more good short clips. Keep up the good work. Be sure to post more in the future. Quick question: What software are you using?
-
How about the ride before the elevator? Last time I rode it they had seem to add lights in there and it was really bright, the animatronics were out of time and when you raced towards the mirror you could see the car and all passengers instead of just seeing the red eyes as you headed towards it. It was really disappointing.
-
The people who have worked on about 5 or 6... I HATE VS commodores. Alex unfortunately now ford has the biggest advantage... BOSS... where as holden is using GENIV same technology as the GENIII Wait why are we talking about the champion V8's (sorry rice burner lovers ) So do we still not know the opening date yet?
-
But Cadboy can the park afford to operate more rides? Remember there isn't just one lump sum for the ride than that's it, just like any mechanical machinery you need to spend money to make it last.

The Official Jet Rescue construction thread

^ YAAY!! I like the look of the transition from one angle to the other situated at the peak of a hump (if that's what you would call it). It reminds me somewhat of a zero-g roll... without the roll. -
Wyn so what if no child remembers who or what the gremlins are? It was a MOVIE release back in the 80's. Damn I don't hear kids or even teens talking about Casablanca any more either, but it doesn't mean it's forgetton, its just not with today's age. Children these day's don't care what was made 20 years ago, it's what they see today and that's what they like and remember. The point is, Movieworld has made a wise choices to remove Gremlins with a much more modern attraction based around a more modern movie. Teens and kids these days want thrills, they don't want to learn about movie magic, its what the internet is for now days. The movie magic thing at Universal pulls in hardly anyone compared to say Jurassic Park or The Mummy.
