My friend just got back from surfers and he said to that the ride SUCKED. He would of rathered ride the cyclone. He also complained of the seats. My sister however is still up there, I asked her a message saying how the ride was, she enjoyed it and said that the seat were comfortable.

^ Hmm I'm getting the feeling that may be a banked curve lol. Thats bloody awesome!

Fair enough. Just one question, what and where are these other few in Australia? Please don't lie to try and win an argument.

Dreamworld don't judge them till you have ridden Ghost rider and the colossal and similar woodies (big ones) Bush beast wasnt the best woodie out the but it still sure was a fun ride. I wouldn't class the one at LP a TRUE woodie, look at its age, its lift mechanism, and well its basically a scenic ride not a thrill ride which most woodies are intended for. Those "other" woodies you have ridden, what are they?

Going to have say there your wrong Gazza, maccas infact is not fresh, the food is not prepared the day they are opened, and the only way there burgers are fresh is if the restaurant has the "My Order Now" system. Most of there salads are recycled for the next day... annnd maccas has poor costumer service

I still don't like the change I'm going to miss it. How much does the academy show cost to run yearly? Wouldn't a car stunt show be expensive run, I went cars aren't designed to always do burns out and stunts and even though you can tune and modify the car for what its going to be used for, it will have to be replace in a quick time. Not to include cost of tires. Oh well, it will be missed.

Movieworld replacing stunt show

I was told (not sure who by) that it the police academy theme will still be the same, just a different storyline and different set and different stunts and vehicles. Many people love seeing police academy show and I personally think I should stay. IMO I think if it was a hot wheels show, it would most likely end up like the action man show at Wonderland. -
Oh ok, just last time I went to QLD, NRMA said nothing to us about this. Any who, if I have anymore questions I will start a new thread because I think I may have a few more questions. Thanks for your help
-
its cool, everyone makes mistakes. Just looked on ebay, chevron actually goes really cheap there. Quoted from NRMA site PLUS, NRMA members who pre-purchase their can also enter the Dreamworld from 9am (an hour earlier than everyone else) and ride the Big 6 Thrill Rides - the Tower of Terror, Giant Drop, Wipeout, The Claw, Cyclone and all NEW 'Mick Doohan's Motocoaster' as often as they like!* How long has this been? Does it only apply at certain times in the day? I know you could do this with some QLD insurance, I didn't know about NRMA
-
I know not to go school holidays, I said that in the post, but thank you, we said about 1 week before holidays. We book off NRMA, get it cheap, prob not as cheap as you listed but hey, there all good quality. Thanks again.

We want to book accomodation ASAP so yeah just want to know when the best time is around june july. THANKS

Haha thats hilarious! I like the force on the claw, especially coming back through the station. I think it will be a completely different experience and feel to the claw. Can't wait to ride it... I got alot of new attractions to do when I head up next, and even a whole new park ! (www) EDIT: IS MY SIG TOO BIG FOR THE FORUMS?

Yeah true but yeah i got nothing else, why are we talking about cars? lol. Mk well thanks for enlightening me and perhaps others Richard. But as you say about this run in period, will this increase the rides overall speed, well basically will it get over the last hill with more ease? -

Not going against what your saying could possibly be true, but wouldn't you expect after paying allot for something the last thing you want it to do is make all these noises... in other words, you don't want to pay 20 k for a new car and every time you turn a corner the CV joints rattle or squeak do you? -
Superman - good or bad first coaster?
mickey_079 replied to ShadowXL's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I think the corkscrew is a great first coaster, smooth, moderate speed and a few inversions. I have found though that the best experience on SE is in the first two carriages.... not sure why though. Definitely a big step. And yeah just good luck, you can do it -

experience the rush of motorbike racing on the maddest track in the country why are they using very lame out dated slang? I love on the video how quick they have made it look... -
Wow Jamberoo is starting to look so much better. Do you think there on their way to the parks on the GC, I know it will take many years, but it seems thats the way there heading. It has great capacity. I know our parks arent anything like the ones situation around the globe, but I think we are really getting some great new things in.
-
Sweet. And how do you apply? Pretty interesting job.

Not bad? Still kind of slow considering my standard V6 ecotec and any other V6 ecotec does 0-60 in 3 seconds minimum... I dont know, the ride I think was hyped up to be something its not and i really don't think it should be included in the 5 thrill rides... hmm. Anyway it doesnt mean I wouldnt ride it, I think it would be very enjoyable and fun, like road-runner. Great coverage richard, thanks a heap!!!! -
OMG! I am very envious to those who have ridden the ride. I think WnW have once again outdone themselves, great ride location, great colour scheme, its all perfect if you ask me

Wow very interesting pics. How exactly do you get into this type of job, is there a degree in engineering or anything you must complete or something like that?

could it be that because everything on the ride is new that everything still has to be run in. Speaking from knowledge with hydraulic brakes I know that when cars are manufactured breaking hard is not recomended due to the brake line to rupture, reason they would rupture is because the viscosity can still be a little to high. Also when using new pumps or motors it is never recommended to use them to the full ability until a certain amount of hours have been done, even when they have been run in. I dunno. As someone mentioned earlier, I don't think intamin would manufacture a ride that hardly made it was way through the course. Im not completely disappointed at what I have seen yet, but if it does not improve, I will be. Thanks for the vid coaster boy -

Layout looks great! Can't wait to see it... will anyone be there for its test run? When will we start to see the trains attached? Very exciting, can't wait for next holidays -
Like others I never found the restraits to hurt me, and they shouldn't hurt you either. As instructed before you depart from the station you are told to hold on at all times (who does?) and always have your head push back on the head rest. I noticed when doing this there is no pain on the neck... I did notice however if I had my head off the rest than yes it hurt, especially on launch and descending the top hat and hills. I thought the material used in the restraints was designed to withstand the g's on the launch, so that they can bow a little (like when you pull a bow back it bends). We studied this in Engineering Studies the other day at school, and if you look at the restraint (if you can) you will notice it bowing into your body a little. My apologies if its not true, im just going off what I was told.

Sometime this week a girl of about 16 years of age lost her foot on a free fall ride. As the gondola started going up the tower on the wires snapped flicking back across the passengers... one unfortunately loosing her foot. Im not sure as to which six flags it was and apparently six flags is trying to keep it low profile. My uncle is in america at the moment which is how I got this... not to sure on the details but if i can get some i will tell you.
