I agree it's all relative based on amount of coasters ridden. I can see why someone could prefer Arkham: longer ride, has inversions, legs hanging, plenty of force - and with the new restraints, no bleeding ears. I know I used to think Demon at Wonderland was the ants pants, until I went overseas. Then I thought Magic Mountain was the shiz until I went to Cedar Point. Then I thought Cedar Point was the big Kahuna until I went to parks which had one or two coasters I liked better than anything at the Point. As far as Australia goes, while my vote goes to Superman. I've got a bit of a soft spot for Jet Rescue, that is an excellent ride.

^I've been to Halloween Horror Nights before, the opening ceremonies are always pretty cool - and then when it's done they release the crowd and the scare actors charge at the crowd. I'm doing lights-on tours of 6 of the HHN mazes too. Busch isn't bad, it's a solid haunt. Though the mazes are nowhere near the level of HHN in terms of set design.

^Yeah I checked that, MK is open late because Mickey's Halloween isn't on that night. I'm not super worried because there isn't a lot I want to do. I'm mainly there for the Halloween events at Universal and Busch.

^^^Single rider lines can be awesome, Men in Black at Universal with 3 accross seating, the single rider line rocks. I'll definitely take your tip on Test Track.

^^Mission Space and Soaring weren't there last time I went. Only on the maybe list, Mission Space, to me, is just a glorified centrifuge and for Soaring - I'm not a fan of simulator rides.

This thread is cool, I will be attempting the Disneyworld in one day madness next month, probably on a Monday in late October (we might do Tuesday as well, not sure if we'll have time). I only want to do the coasters at Animal Kingdom, and apparently there's a breakfast that gets early entry, so I figure we get in early and knock them off quick. Only want to do Rock'n'Roller coaster at the Studios, hit that next. Been on the other rides there, the Hollywood Tower and Great Movie Ride would be fun to re-visit though. If we're going good for time, maybe visit Epcot, (been before not a fan) - only Test Track (haven't been on) interests me. MK last, and I plan on using the MyMagic to book 3 fastpasses for this park. Not looking to do many rides here because I've been on most of them. 7 Dwarves is a priority for a fast pass, not even sure what else I could be bothered with for fast pass - I haven't checked out whether I can book across multiple parks in one day. Want to ride Barnstormer because it is new to me and I'm coaster credit whore. Who knows, we might do that very quickly or it might take all day. That's my minimum goal for the day.

I don't know if I want to see who comes first in the Beat Off. It will interesting to see if, or how much, they have to cut out of last years "hero" mazes to fit them in their new locations. Now let's see what the panic rooms are all about.

Well I didn't see that coming 2 repeats and 4 IP mazes. I see they've added an unlimited maze fast pass for $100 that wasn't there before.

Outlaw Run, it was amazing, just delivered in all kinds of original ways. Honourable mentions: El Toro, Phoenix, Expedition GeForce, New Texas Giant, Boulder Dash, Superman (SFNE) and Maverick. I've only been on 2 RMCs so far, but I'm confident I'll love the rest of them.

Ultimate Tour has unlimited fast lane for Superman and Scooby, so I plan on getting a few laps on Superman at night. I want to do the two soundstage mazes at least 6 times. And I plan on taking advantage of all the free food and drink in the VIP lounge. The tour / mini show you get with the Ultimate Tour takes a while. Unless a meteor hits Movie World, it's going to be good fun.

^Dude, I've only got one night free to do Fright Nights. If they are not that good, then I'd rather skip them and focus on other things - so Intel is important to me (and I'll get that from GC friends who would have done first night). It's a pretty packed night already with the Ultimate Tour and everything else, so I want to squeeze a lot in. I've got 6 years straight of going to haunts like Halloween Horror Nights and Knott's Scary Farm, so I'm not likely to be surprised (won't complain if I am). I find it all fun rather than scary. And I've got to say MW does Halloween well.

^I guess that raises the question, is there a clown maze this year? If the Intencity location doesn't look like a clown and the location where the Ripper is should be used for something better that a clown maze. It will be interesting to see what these Panic Rooms are like. I'm going second night so I'll want all the intel I can to decide whether to do them or not.

^I was asking if anyone knew, and/or had seen activity in that area. It would seem logical they would use the location and the only relocation is perhaps Clowns moving from Scooby to Intencity.

Are they not using the location where the Ripper maze was last year?

^^Have you been on Flashback? It makes Mick Doohan's look like Expedition GeForce IMO. At least MDMC, has some level of amusement - albeit it provides a very low level of amusement. I went on Flashback the year it opned at SFMM, they actually commeraorated their big "new" coaster with a drink cup. Back then Viper, Colossus, Ninja, Revolution and Psychlone (pre-Earthquake) were the star attractions, and there was no B & M in the park yet.

Some say it was painful, I just found it very mediocre. It was rotated around other parks prior to rusting in pieces at SFMM. Quite possibly Intamin's worst coaster creation, a concept that never caught on. Gazza's explanation for it's closure is what I heard too. No one was sad.

Perhaps Banky could be enticed to build (or deconstruct) a Dismaland from scratch. I don't think the business case would be strong enough yet for Disney, but if it came, the crumbs from Disney would possibly lift attendance at the other parks, just like Knott's in OC.

About time, back to lap bars for Revolution. It's a fun ride, with some nice drops and terrain interaction. 4D freespins look awesome, but I can't say personally I was a fan of the ride experience. Yay for another RMC Iron Horse, looks like a visit to San Francisco should be added.

Ha Zombieland as a scare zone means running zombies - cardio, my friends. Booked the ultimate tour, hopefully they'll do the lights-on tours of the mazes as well, and also be able to book the panic rooms in advance.

Hoping I can go, between sporting commitments, weddings and the annual Halloween USA trip - it's going to be tight. The Ultimate Tour was the tipping point to get my coming up for the first time last year, here's hoping it's back.

Dracula's Haunted House in surfers is good cheesy fun, but there is no scare actors, or even supervision for that matter (just CCTV cameras). The House of Horrors at Universal was OK. Whenever I did it, there was virtually no scare actors in there and eventually it closed. Liseberg's Hotel Gasten is a good example of a really good year round haunted walk through with really good sets and scare actors, though this one is an upcharge on top of wristband admission. I personally don't think this would work for Movie World. A really good Ghost Train or Haunted Mansion type attraction might be work, even within MW's budget - the more I think about it, they could do something really nice.

The Purge worked really well at Halloween Horror Nights in Hollywood, it would make a lively scare zone.

Yeah The Descent isn't well known, but it certainly did kick some serious ass. I'd love to know some dates and details so I can make a cunning plan to attend the event.
