  1. I love it when LW has 2 trains running. The lines move so much quicker.
  2. Nice! Thanks for that. Definately looking awesome. PS. 100th post ;]
  3. Yeah I will still go as long as all the slides are in operation. I'm going on the Monday it opens.
  4. You don't get it Swanny, or GoGoBoy. Maybe to you the best theme park is the one with the biggest rides or the biggest thrills. But to many people who come to the Gold Coast for a holiday (which is their major market) they want a family day out. Dreamworld suits this MUCH better than Movie World. Dreamworld has more family rides plus 5 thrill rides to enjoy and even major kids rides, unlike MW which has 3 thrill rides, but one is as much of a family ride as a thrill ride, and all the rest are aged. Dreamworld is also more Australian than Movie World which is based off American movies. Dreamworld is also more iconic than Movie World. There is much more of a reason to award Dreamworld this year than any other themepark on the Gold Coast.
  5. I drove past this morning, there are wire sections over the Supertubes Hydrocoaster for netting. The LIM has been covered but no shade sail over BRO atm It is looking so good.
  6. That's the way it sounded to me.. seriously.
  7. Um sorry, everyone has an opinion here, so I feel I should express mine. It's not a "hideous activity" to spell a word wrong. I mean seriously.. it's a simple mistake (and it's not even spelt wrong... it's just grammar). I'm sure you'll both live when you see the next Dream World or Movieworld. If that really ticks you off, good luck with the rest of your life because there are going to be way worse things than grammatical errors on a board.
  8. Warning: the thong stealers are at loose at Wet'n'Wild. Just chuck them in a bush. They'll be there at the bottom.
  9. Park hopping? Yeah but seriously how crap is that!
  10. Just search on-ride [ROLLERCOASTER] on YouTube... you should find some.
  11. I am gonna get a Dreamworld pass, then get a Wet'n'Wild.
  12. Hid my mothers cup? LOL. Not exactly. Although yeah I get your point. But it hasn't happened to me, that's all I'm saying.
  13. It's fun. Just keep your head back and on the drops pull it forward.
  14. Yeah when you get there you will want to do it all.
  15. I know that Movie World and Dreamworld are in direct competition. I didn't say they aren't. What I mean is that it has been made out by the media and also other people that one park will either succeed or fail. This will not be the case - although Dreamworld and Movie World directly compete they also coincide with eachother to strengthen the QLD tourism industry. Without eachother there would be no where to go - this is what happened with WnW when WVTP found out about WWW - They expanded. Also, I would rather hear from Steven Gregg that "WhiteWater World is a much better park than Wet'n'Wild" rather than "It will strengthen the market"...
  16. With just over 1 month till the opening of WhiteWater World, I thought it would be high time to discuss the future of both the waterparks existing on the Gold Coast. Will there be a competition between the two parks and is this needed? Obviously WnW holds the current monopoly on the waterpark market atm. This will definately change when WWW opens in December. Movieworld and Dreamworld - both from the same companies which are set to "compete" are coinciding happily with eachother. There is some, but not much competition between these two parks. A quote from Steven Gregg, CEO of Dreamworld/MLT... "I don't think we necessarily have to compete with Wet'n'Wild. I believe there is enough room on the Coast and we are strengthening the market. I think in a year's time bosses from both parks could be standing here smiling." His idea suggests that the park is not a direct threat to WnW but a mere addition to the great line up of tourism activities avaliable on the Gold Coast. Is there a real need for this big war over the best water park when there is an example of parks existing with no real rivalry? Has the whole situation just been over exaggerated? Think what you want about which park is better... MW or DW. There is no real emergent competition existing between these parks over who has the better rides. Time will tell which park "succeeds" and which "fails" (if you believe that can happen) between the two water parks... but I quote some user who said "2007 will be the year of WhiteWater World". Your thoughts?
  17. That actually doesn't happen to me. As if someone goes "Hey look at those thongs, lets steal them." I mean if they can afford a day at Wet n Wild they arent going to steal a pair of thongs. Normally we put them in the garden or behind something.
  18. Yeah I meant the looping part was when you like twist around the bottom of the drop and then go into the full loop. And if you're short enough you can sort of jump into the air just before it locks in and you are flying lol. But it hurts your crotch after a while.
  19. Locals visit during the off-season and peak season because a lot of people who have the Max Action Pass are local teens on school holidays.
  20. No it won't. lol. Jack607, where are you from? You seem to know a lot about themeparks.
  21. Or you could just wear thongs and leave them at the bottom of slides. That's what I always do.
  22. Go Scooby before SE. They will have 2 trains running on SE when you go so the line will be way shorter.
