  1. DW has proven with ST that they can maintain a ride without closing it down. PLUS, we have seen flexibility in maintenance at DW before. I think you might we onto something that the Big Brother deal was rushed. @Brad2912 maybe the live shows will be in this undercover area.
  2. Simple! DW should have pushed the maintenance back by a few months.
  3. SafeWork SA have had bans overturned in the past. I'm starting to think not only do they have to be independent but they have to be different types of locking mechanism.
  4. The island was more than the show. The handlers on the island all day, interacting with the tigers and guest, can never be replaced by looking at tigers through a window.
  5. I agree @DaptoFunlandGuy, DW is starting to get some good foot traffic through the park now, it would be a shame if DW were purposefully closing an experience.
  6. I don't know if every sign has been replaced yet because the image I posted was from the school across the road who were invited for the opening. When DW first opened, every ride had a sponsorship.
  7. Our Country in Sydney. (it's been around Australia) The Grand Opening of Wild.
  8. That isn't the place I'm talking about. The Gold Coast Kart club was a proper/official racing track, not a place you could rock up to and pay to have a turn.
  9. I don't mind it if everyone in the audience takes part but I find individual audience participation only entertaining for the participant and the family/friends of the participant.
  10. I would be willing to buy another pass to MW, if it was a Mad Max show.
  11. @Baconjack the existing Gold Coast Kart Club closed in Coomera because the NEW residents didn't like the noise.
  12. Media getting over excited on residential development again. Being an enthusiast of theme parks, leaves me with questions and concerns about what CEH are doing. Luna Park is a great example on what can happen if you start mixing residential with entertainment. As for the how involved the minister is- @ShakeShack Light Rail to the airport was never going to happen because there is a big hill in the way. Heavy rail is what the airport requires with light rail supporting it.
  13. @Tricoartthe things you talk about are the toppings on the cake. The cake has gone bad.
  14. GL valleyed on the 20th of July and maintenance schedule was due to start on the 23rd of July. MW has shown us before they can maintain a ride a lot quicker then MW currently do and why I believe, maintenance is dragged out to reduce ruining cost.
  15. Of course part of the payment was lost revenue. Some of the payment was also from the Vintage Cars that was never repaired and before people say but DW rebuilt the Vintage Cars. MM was announced and costed before the storms.
  16. The share price a year ago was higher than it is today, I don't know where you are getting, people are getting excited from because the share price has decreased.
  17. The 5.8 million insurance payout had a positive effect on the bottom line. 😂
