  1. From the pictures, the seat belts look like standard seat belts that you find in the family car. If they are, it means you can unlock them yourself. Only half the cars currently have them but we can assume the other half will be installed before the ride opens. The vintage cars have long been driven by little kids who slide forward on the seat to reach the pedal. I even have a picture of me driving a car the same way. (the seat are deep for kids) I'm just interested if this practice will continue. And if the kids will still be allowed to slide forward to reach the pedal. If the belts are allowed to be worm loosely, the kids could just climb out, making the seat belt a waste of time. The seat belt also currently sits on top of the bar which means a child could slide under the belt or climb out of it. As I said these are still being installed and the positioning might change but it is a little interesting to see how they will work.
  2. Spoilers alert! Staff aren't wearing seat belts so I don't know what it the point of them.
  3. From past soft openings, they will work on the attraction in the morning and open after lunch.
  4. I have great news for everyone. Triple Vortex will be opening on the 28 Apr 2025 In other news, WWW will be closed. 🤦‍♂️🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣 Due the recent rainfall, if you want to enjoy Cave of Waves, a boat will be required to get to it. 🤦‍♂️🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣 In good news, DW has a new attraction, Temple of Huey.
  5. @Troy81MM queue times after boxing day, has me worried enough to try my luck before the official opening.
  6. The roof looks even more fugly, front on. The roof is too high to offer any real protection from the sun, except for the 10 mins a day, when the sun is directly above you. Thank f&*k for photoshop so I can edit the roof out of my photos.
  7. I wouldn't be pulling anchor and setting sail for DW, before it was confirmed guest are riding.
  8. From what we have seen I tend to agree but I am slightly interested on what MW will deliver outside of the rides.
  9. On the radio today: "DW's media release" "After a review of the incident, we are stopping all tiger contact. Could be the radio reading from the courier mail report or the radio reading directly from DW's media release. Once upon a time, anybody could find a media release on DW's website, but now, I don't know where you can view DW's media releases, so it is a lot harder to find out who said what.
  10. OK B2. You know the car theme of the train is what you would find in the jungle? The track in unavoidable. B1 probably isn't the best person you try to emulate today after B1's DW has to build mesh fencing. 🤣
  11. Tiger Island looks depressing now. Everytime I visited the Island now, there has been one Tiger on the Island pacing back and fourth at the back door. In the exhibit cages, the Tigers look relaxed and are laying down.
  12. I believe the fence is still black on the stage. That envelope fence, would block you're views while sitting in a car. Like the roof on the cars that will block your views of the plane, as you pass under it.
  13. I've seen photos of what looks like a timber fence too around JR@Narrawhich looks great.
  14. I don't know what type of fence you would find in the Amazon Jungle. DW should dumped this fence has to be black idea. DF's new white fence, is a huge improvement on the black fence. Maybe Rivertown's mesh fence needed to be more of a pale eucalyptus colour.
  15. The problem if you go a wooden fence is it will hide your view. I'm not a fan of chain fences but in this case I would rather see through the fence and see the theme over a fence blocking the view.
  16. Plus For people who don't want to look it up. Permanent barriers Should: • be at least 1 metre higher than adjacent surfaces • define the zone • be constructed from suitable materials • prevent people from climbing or moving through or under them • be stable and able to withstand anticipated loads and weather conditions • be secured by installing gates and joints so there is no weak point for entry. You also might want to re-read the part about relevant parties because you're confused on who the parties are. Case closed. Dapto the sky is blue. //s
  17. Like the Australian Standards AS 3533.1 Amusement ride and devices has a whole section on Which the code of practice tells you to comply to?
  18. Good you also have a copy. Can you please highlight the section for the people, where it mentions a chain wire fence must be installed?
  19. ST fence shows, Rivertown's fencing is a choice DW made and not a fence forced on them.
