  1. //s 🤦‍♂️ 🤣@DaptoFunlandGuy
  2. WnW was open during winter before WWW opened. WnW was open when WWW, once upon a time, opened for winter. WnW is now currently open while WWW shuts shop. I really don't think WnW care what WWW do. If WWW can't compete it's because they have driven their own prices up with 30,000 lifeguards on the wave pool. //s
  3. It might save money but it doesn't make money. What did I concede? I've never said it doesn't save you money. Sorry didn't see this. WnW is WWW main (probably only) competitor.
  4. If you believe only 5 guest turn up in winter, I would say you have never been in winter. WWW is a better park for winter over WnW. 1. The water heating is better. 2. The queues have been wrapped to reduce wind. 3. The park footprint is smaller. A water park isn't a theme park. But if you want to talk about how I think DW's trading hours is the lazy way to save money, I'm up for it.
  5. I haven't seen an end date posted. If you have a pass, it's defiantly worth a trip just to see it. Brogent Technologies now produce led dome screens and that is what Africa was produced for.
  6. I waited to after the holidays to take flight because when I went during the holidays the queue exceeded 1 hour. The quality of the image on the screen has improved but there is a but. You can see light boxes behind the image. The reflection onto the screen of emergency exit signs is annoying but I do not know how you fix the reflection because you can’t position the signage anywhere you want. The film was immersive, and it has a couple of moments where the audience gasps. The film felt short but I’m not sure if it was short compared to the other productions because I didn’t time it or felt short because I was immersed in it and lost track of time. It is a defendant must see and DW are doing an excellent job mixing up films.
  7. I'm not sure what you're saying @DaptoFunlandGuybecause when BGH purchased Village, Dreamworld wasn't worth as much as Village.
  8. Crowd levels have reduced at every park @themagician. Village and Dreamworld are handling the downturn differently. 1. DW have reduce hours to keep staff levels down. (not even being bothered opening WWW) 2. Village staying open but running the park with fewer staff.
  9. Let's try that again. Kinda looks like CE are trying to get every bit out of DW before the big sell.
  10. Kinda looks like CE are trying to get are trying to get every bit out of DW before the big sell.
  11. Somebody need to do a before & after car park count.
  12. There are a couple of environmental requirements/issues council did seek further information on. (council being council) Interesting new site layout.
  13. A few weeks the application was ready to be voted on by council. The council meet monthly and I haven't checked when it will be listed on the agenda.
  14. I have no problems in tearing it down. DW exhibits they are short on crust, so I was only trying to save DW a few bucks. You would make that area work better by removing it.
  15. 2nd cheapest option. A non-sucking option, so it's still worth taking a photo is something like what DW have done with the car, as you enter Rivertown. A garden in front of it. A wishing well pond, the fire truck sits in. (you could even have Kenny on a hose).
  16. I have no problem with DW protecting themselves, it just looks DW went with the cheapest option. If you believe parents aren't as attentive to their kids theses days, you should have grown up in the 80's. Kids can't even climb trees today, without falling out of them.
  17. @wikiverserestore the Thunderbolt facade station to its former self and install an 80's bugger joint inside. The million dollar question. Do you keep Keith Lord's name on the signage?
  18. My original idea was for a shared food outlet but what made me explore other ideas was that I cannot remember the last time I have seen any food outlet in that area open. As part of WWW relaunch, that area of DW really needs some life injected into it.
  19. People are paddling up the wrong creek if they believe children will be fried because they are wet, or people will be entering the arcade dripping wet. The arcade is not at the end of a water slide. As long as DW has had an arcade, DW have had rides that soak you and an internal water park. Also, when there was a gate between the park, people could enter DW in their swimmers and enter the arcade. The current arcade is accurately currently, 90% skill testers. Somebody being damp shooting hoops or playing air hocky isn’t an accident waiting to happen. Having a shared arcade accomplishes 2 things. 1. The arcade creates a gateway between the parks which require no extra staff to man because the people staffing the arcade can manage the movement of guest between the parks. 2. Having a shared arcade means if you have you have 1000 guest in WWW you have 1000 chances, somebody wants to pay to shoot hoops that you didn’t have before. And the kicker is, your not paying for extra staff, for WWW to generate more 💰. WWW strongest plus it had over WnW was the ability to travel between the parks with ease. DW has killed this off and I’m spitballing ideas to get the gate open. If somebody has a better way for DW to become accessible to WWW with ease. Speak up. I would love to hear them.
  20. A good reminder how bad the sign was @themagician hopefully, never to be repeated.
