  1. Maybe he is sourcing the people who created the Crackle Neon to fix the effects in Bermuda? I noticed when I rode it 2 weeks ago that some of the tubes containing this effect were not working. If only there was a way to bring the fire back!
  2. Yeah, Kudos to WVTP about the SurfRider Refurb... If only Dreamworld would do something similar to The Claw... I can see white bits in the paintjob now
  3. Woot! Isn't it sad that both me and Gazza know what that random thing is?
  4. Is that the thing near the stairs that looks like a rubbish bin?
  5. Alot of SurfRider was starting to go grey when I was there 2 weeks ago.
  6. Well... SurfRider NEEDS a Repaint... so we can only hope it's getting one.
  7. Joz, are you trying to hint at something here?
  8. Uh... I don't quite see what you mean by your post. Qldtaw just went off on his own tangent it was certainly within the barrier of on topic. He was just saying that he thinks WVTP will be able to pull this off reasonably well and how it could benefit the park in the long run. This could easily create some very constructive and interesting discussions. Now in regards to the roof, I have heard on the grapevine that the weather wasn't the main reason why the roof is going ahead. It was one of the key factors... but all I will say is that qldtaw and a few others seem to be on the right track. The roofing structure could open endless options for themed events such as the Movie World Xmas. They could have snow effects coming off the roof lattice and lighting and that's just the start of it. At first I wasn't for the roof but from hearing reasons as to why it is going ahead, I will say it's a very bold and brave move for WVTP... and if it is pulled off properly it will really work well.
  9. Hmm... I'm a MyFun member, and a Sea World year pass holder and I never got this email.
  10. Hmm... Judging by the cars and track style shown in that concept art... it looks to be a Vekoma model. We can only hope it is indeed a Vekoma ride, not a Intamin Motocoaster...
  11. Who in there right mind would want to taste that Pepsi Blue crap again? That was among the most foul drinks i've ever tasted!
  12. Hmm... maybe someone could sneak a knife in to the attraction and stab the person at the counter? Who knows. And not all youth are bad in Sydney... Just 99% of them
  13. The article is on the World Tourist Attractions website and yes, I did see the supports from the other side of the river today.

  15. Hmm... I've seen that waterpark before. It seemed to have a "Twister" type slide there too. You should have gone up 2 days ago and come to the Gatton show though Gazza! I was working there
  16. As far as I am aware for RCT3 there is no Spooky Island theming as much... but you would find some useful stuff in the "ScreamWorx" Pack for RCT3.
  17. Yeah. There would be no real point in ditching the Big Brother Arena. The area could be used for functions or concerts as it has been used for in the past, such as The Wiggles concerts and more. Also the arena has actually been part of dreamworld for a while before Big Brother. I wonder if Ten would have to pay Dreamworld a lump sum due to terminating there contract early. If so I wonder how much it could be and how it would be used. I can just say the next few months after Big Brother finishes could be interesting...
  18. Hmm... The Gobo could be a way to go. If a Public school can have them, why can't Movie World?
  19. How would Pamela's appearance make any difference? She would have been under such tight security and probably brought to Dreamworld in the very early hours of the morning. Also attendance on weekdays outside of holidays is very hard to estimate. Due to the fact school groups etc could be attending. Mondays and Fridays are normally the busiest weekdays for the parks. Attendance could range from 1500 to 8000. It just really depends.
  20. Ah... so that explains the reduced capacity thing with the Drop. Either that or it's broken But yeah. We only went on Motocoaster, Drop, Claw, Wipeout and... Wait. I think that was it! But WhiteWater World was GREAT! Apart from the slight chill factor!
  21. LOL! After waiting what... 1 hour?! So do they close the gates at 10,100 peeps?
  22. Oooh... so that is why Rapids is suddenly down. And I know what you mean about the ridiculous number on Wednesday! It was above 10,000 wasn't it?
  23. Hmmm... thats very odd. Thunder River was working fine on Wednesday when I went. On another note AVOID Dreamworld right now! The queues were horrible on Wednesday. Giant drop had filled all the switchbacks and was down to the log ride. Wipeout and Claw were overflowing, same with Tower, Motocoaster and Cyclone. I think the most shocking thing was the Reef Diver queue was filled to the brim also!
  24. Probably due to the water stuffing around with the sensors. That ride was constantly plagued with maintenance issues so it's not really a surprise to see this happen. Sorry for the lack of posting, but i'm currently in a caravan at the Redcliffe show grounds preparing for the redcliffe show before traveling up north for work.
